30 Site Commenters Meet At The Twilight Boston Convention!

So what happens when a guy named Will creates a set of the most popular twi-sites around? Girls…and some guys flock

Friendships are made through banter on the comments, girls that live close to each other decide to meet to go see New Moon and then this year go see Eclipse together, we talk on the phone, facebook, twitter and we realise its not just a Twilight thing anymore-we’re friends and Twilight, newmoonmovie.org and eclipsemovie.org bought us together

So after a year of planning a group of twi-friends most of whom had never met each other descended on Boston for the Twlight Convention. We came from all over USA, Canada, Hawaii, Ireland, Scotland and England(moi).  Those from across the pond like me made it into a vacation spending a week with the girls that are not just friends but more like sisters to me now.  The twi cast at the convention didn’t quite know what hit them!  Even other attendees were commenting at how great it was that we had all met like this.   The convention was a blast!

BooBoo Stewart’s mom found out about all of us and how we knew PeaceLoveSeth – the fan that told BooBoo about the part of Seth and wanted a picture of all us.  (For privacy we have shaded out the faces)  That was absolutely amazing, BooBoo is just the most sweetest and best well mannered boy ever!  After our picture he hugged each and every one us and considering he really didn’t have to it was just such a nice gesture.  We all LOVE BooBoo!!!  (Read Aloha’s account about all of this further down)

The cast talks were fantastic, Julia Jones, Chaske Spencer, Alex Merax (my Paulex!!!), Bronson Pelletier, Kiowa Gordon, Daniel Cudmore, Charlie Bewley and yes the guy everyone screamed for (except me because I was screaming for Alex ) Kellan Lutz!!!!

Bean and I attended the Sunday Brunch with the wolf pack and Kellan, that was just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! There were only 8 people on our table and then we got each cast member on our table for 10 mins where we were able to ask them anything.  Sitting practically next to Alex I became alittle tongue tied  but I managed to get a question in and asked him about whether his family travel with him and what his wife (the beautiful Mrs M!) thinks about this hysteria- he replied that at the moment he has to focus on his acting so his family doesn’t travel with him but that Kim (Mrs M) is used to it from his dancing days.  And no I didn’t tell him I was TeamSpaceHeaters for the fear he might get a restraining order against me after I drunk tweeted him some very very embarrasing tweets last year!  Ahhh maybe I’ll tell him when I see him in England again in October    Bronson was great during the brunch too, alittle hungover but so SO funny- he definitely converted quite a few girls to Team Bronson!   All the cast were supereb, Charlie with his red socks, Daniel with his new haircut (our very own Phoenix yelling out at him that his hair cut in the movie was bad!), Kiowa-he’s so shy and quiet compared to the rest of the wolf pack or maybe we just scare him?!  Chaske invited us to ride on his triceratops and kept referring back to that Kia hamster commercial ‘you can go with this or you can go with that!’ well I’ll go with his triceratops thank you very much!   Kellan, Kellan Kellan now where to start… from flashing his CK’s to us girls on the front row to being fed gummy worms from our very own Phoenix again (that girl just knows how to get the cast going…Im sitting next to her next time!)  Kella was just sofa king awesome!!!!  Love him.. and Alex…I love them all!

“Attending BosCon with the #BostonTweetParty girls was the most memorable and amazing weekend of my life! The stars were fabulous, but the best part of the trip was definitely spending time with so many of my wonderful Twi sisters from EM.org! “First & foremost, meeting the other EM.org girls – having talked with these girls online for over a year now, it felt like we were already lifelong friends when we met in person. We had a blast! Other highlights for me included my hug from Kellan (I’m sure everyone will say this!); Daniel recognising me from the Birimingham convention; Chaske doing the rap from the Kia hamster commercial (‘Dip, dop, dippity!’); Paulex telling me I smelled great (sorry TSH!); and sitting opposite Hillywood Jasper for all the Q&A sessions – if I squinted my eyes a bit I could pretend it was the real thing, ” -Bean

Video messages recorded for PeaceLoveSeth by JacobIsMyHeroin, manip pictures of Ceci with Bronson where Bronson signed it thanks to Punchy, Aloha getting a personalized autograph for PeaceLoveSeth by BooBoo, swapping of prime seats so others could enjoy there main man up close, special gifts purchased or obtaining autographed photos for twisters in different countries unable to join us, finally with the help of someone very sweet assisted Wilfy & I in getting Kellan to sign Punchy’s painting. Twisters are by far the sweetest & most giving people of all!” -H2B

“I was on a mission.  Aside from the obvious goal of meeting thirty (did I say 30?!) of my lovely Twi-sters in person, Twi-cast and, in general, sharing Twi-love for four days at the Boston Convention, I had promised @PeaceLoveSeth, a long-time EM.org commenter, to get Boo Boo’s autograph for her.  Knowing that she was devoted to getting Boo Boo the role of Seth before we even knew who he was, it was important for me to try.  At the first Q&A with Boo Boo, he was asked how he got the role and he mentioned that a fan from the UK turned him on to it. I immediately tweeted PLS that Boo Boo just gave her a shout out from the stage.  Later that day, I sought out Renee, Boo Boo’s mom, who is the sweetest (and beautiful) person, at their vendor booth and told her my mission and she lit up!  She said, “Now we know who to credit!” and started pulling together a little gift bag for PLS consisting of a canvas tote, t-shirt, cd and various buttons.  I bought a poster for Boo Boo to sign later (he was in a photo op session at the time.)  Meanwhile @JacobIsMyHeroin mentioned that 30+ of PLS’ friends were at the convention from EM.org and Renee immediately said that we needed to take a group picture with her son!  We came back later that evening and, with a lot of coordination between our ladies, Renee and his security, we got the photo taken and thankful hugs from Boo Boo.  He later generously thanked PLS in his autograph and videotaped a message to her, courtesy of @JacobIsMyHeroin.  It became an awesome group project, the results of which exceeded my expectations; and the Stewarts could not be nicer and more appreciative.  I hope PLS will be happy when she gets her package and our collective love.  All I could say is, Mission Accomplished!”- AlohaSD

So after all of the above,  I end with this…..it was a week followed by a weekend of EPIC propotions for me.  There are still so many girls I chat to from the site that I am dying to meet, but I am so happy that I was able to meet the ones I did.  I am so grateful to Will for giving me the opportunity to blog on his amazing sites that have allowed me to meet such amazing ladies across the world and it is with great sadness I say goodbye.  As you have seen, I don’t have time to blog on the site as much as I would want to anymore (real life and twi-life don’t work!) and so I think its only fair that I tip my hat and say farewell for now.  Maybe I’ll be back as a guest blogger from time to time but in general I won’t be here. I kinda haven’t been here for the last few months and I think the rest of the girls and Will do an awesome job and I don’t think its fair that I should steal credit for the work they do and be called ‘a blogger for em.org’ when I haven’t blogged in months due to work commitments.  So I’m just going to to say thank you all, its been great and I hope this isn’t the last you’ll hear from me! x
