Honestly.. the main thing that i'm concerned about them leaving out or even toning down in this movie is when Edward illustrated the benefit of that king size bed for Bella. War, okay… Tent scene, great… Edward & Bella fooling around and showing us all how the leg hitch is really done… YES!

I know that there are two halves, one french speaking and one English speaking, that you have a similar parilament style to Britain, I think, and that there's universal healthcare that the eskimos aren't too fond of because it's forced upon them lol. Oh, and that there are provinces and you guys say “Ay” a lot and “about” kinda funny. :p

Fact #6: robert pattinson and kstew keep misinterpreting the damn story. bella is not torn over the two guys and who she is gonna choose. She is torn b/c she wants jacob as the friend and edward as her lover. They make it seem like bella is so in love with jake, but she's really not. Bella can live without jake, but she cannot live without edward. They need to stop spreading lies about the stupid book. The love triangle isn't even that bad in eclipse…the whole bella/jacob relationship is about bella feeling bad for jake. Bella feels so bad for jake, that i think she just makes herself say shes in love with him so that she can stop hurting his feelings. And even if bella says shes in love with jacob, she was never torn on who to pick…remember what she said in new moon “It's him, it's always been him”. In eclipse, bella imagined herself with jake for like 5 seconds and then she said that she knows that she cannot live without edward. So that doesn't sound to me like edward is torn between two guys. She is torn and that is true but she is torn on the mere fact that she wants to find a way to keep jake as her friend and edward as her lover. That's what team switzerland is all about for god sakes. She wants both guys, but she loves them in very different ways.

No actually I remembered this part of the book immediately when I started reading your passage. It was great! I enjoyed the flavor of this book for that particular reason. Throughout the book I remember reading Bella holding her own and Edward being determined… Holding his own as well. Always remembering their love but acting as a normal couple would (as normal as those two could be). That scene is the essence/flavor/rhythm of the book.

This is exactly what I'm fearing! “Less love, More war” – SAY WHAT?! It shall be the other way around. For me, Eclipse isn't about war and such..its more about love than any of the other books is, itsall that matters. Gah, when they gave David the job..this was what I was afraid of. I don't think he really get it. I'll be so sad if they mess this up, because this is my favourite book in the saga and if following is not in the movie…I'll be really disappointed.

1) Edward is waiting for Bella in her car when she tries and go see Jacob.
2) Edward is mad at Bella when she goes to La Push when he's hunting
3) Jacob kiss Bella, Bella hits him, then call Edward and Edward = MAD
4) Jacob tells Bella that he rather see her dead than becoming a vampire, then go home and have the best best BEST part in the whole book with Edward.
5) The tent scene…although I hate Jacob…it has to be in there.

I don't want a freaking action movie…I want what Eclipse is about…LOVE and FRIENDSHIP.

There where only two things that bothered me in this text.
1. LESS LOVE? do I need to say more? Yes I was fearing this would happen…
2. I keep hearing “the wolfes will be amazing!” and “ohhh you will love the wolfes in this movie!” But when do we get to hear “The vampires are gonna be soooo amazing in this one!” huh? It feels like they are focusing more on the wolfes. Have you forgotten about…ehhh….THE CULLENS They are making a really crappy job with bringing out the Cullens. They have always been much cooler. It really makes me sad…ofc everyone turns team wolf -.- Anyway, Im not gonna let them ruin the aspect of the saga. Still want the movies though

nope its not photoshopped. its a picture someone took from a poster in Popstar Magazine. He has abs and muscles, but the smaller the picture is the more ripped he looks which is why he looks mega ripped because of how smalls avi's are. also his one arm is 2 the side which makes it look big, but hes just all tensed up and oiled lol, and then i suppose popstar do some touching up before it goes in the magazine, still so hot.

OK, I understand it is a 'darker' movie, but it is also a more lovey dovey movie (e.g. leg hitch scene, intimate tent scene, etc). I hope that Slade doesn't get all 'Lets-all-try-and-beat-Chris-Weitz-in-the-special-effects-department' and stayed true to the book when filming.

Eclipse is probs my favourite book so please Mr. Slade… dont eff if up ! Eclipse is similar to Twilight in that the Edward & Bella relationship is very romantic and Edward is all protective of Bella (then add Jacob to the equation)

Anyway… what I'm trying to say is that I'm looking forward to the 'darkness' of Eclipse and the fighting scenes.. but stay true to the book that Myer created!!

Eclipse is not about war, sure there's some action in it (for like what? 1 chapter?) but its more about love and friendship and the balance between it. Make love, and SOME war. I wanna see Edward and Bella together as much as possible, just like in the book. They have some amazing scenes together in Eclipse<3

I want to take a moment on this Thanksgiving Day to say to all of you how thankful I am to share this site with you.

Of course I read the entire article on Rotten Tomatoes and caught a few of the comments left on that site and it reminded me of others of run across in the past. Every other TL site I've found is full of ignorant, immature, kids with really boring comments or usually just way off mark.

Don't get me wrong – I have nothing against mature teens who've read the Saga and get it, and I know we've got some on here – I love you guys, too! But all of you, though varied in opinions, have intelligent, witty, and downright hilarious things to say – and I'm thankful!

I like you jaredmed. You seem to be taking the words right out of my mouth lately! You're right, it was 5 seconds of “imaginary time” that Bella had with Jacob in Eclipse, and her primary desire was for him to be in her life, but not romantically. I can understand why she eventually broke down and imagined it during that kiss… he's her best friend, they understand eachother in ways that other people don't, and ummm, well, let's face it, he's HOT! Any woman would cave under that kind of duress for just a few seconds!

Side note:
Have you considered getting an avi? Grey faces sometimes scare people off around here. If you did, more people might read your comments and hear what you have to contribute.

Thanksgiving goes back to around the 1600's when the settlers had a good harvest and made peace and shared their harvest with the natives. All the origins are kind of sketchy, but basically it's now an excuse to spend time with family and friends, tell what you are thankful for, and gorge yourself on Turkey and tons of other food!

I know it's an American holiday, but I have been passing the word – I am thankful to all of you on this site. I am forever grateful that I can share my Twi-obsession with and have someone to laugh with….

You said it! That's another reason why this book is my favourite. Bella has grown up and their is a balance of power in this book that there wasn't before in Twilight and New Moon. He tries to protect her by being a bit controlling but she's not having it. Then he decides to just let her be herself and let the chips fall where they may. He doesn't try to manipulate her out of being who she is *cough* Jacob *cough*.

AHHHH, Mr. Slade. This book truly defined Bella and Edward's relationship. It demonstrated how jealous Edward was of Jacob, how strong Bella was to stand up for her friend and how the two of them worked through it together despite the surrounding danger and impending doom that Bella always seems to find herself in.

Bella with a backbone, Edward with his protective edge, Jake trying to manipulate his way back in…. AH!!! OK, promote love triangle if you must, but NOT WAR!

That's funny, because in Twilight and New Moon I actually felt that Bella was getting walked all over (because Edward was always deciding what was best for her… like any man could ever know). After he returned in New Moon I felt that the tide had changed and Bella had the upper hand for the rest of the Saga.

Huh. Interesting to look at it your way. the next time I read through, I'll have to think about it from that perspective…

I really dont like that people are dismissive of Jacobs character. I know that Stephanie wrote him like a whiny boy in an adults body but Taylor gave him so much charisma, warmth onscreen and has beautiful natural chemistry with Kristen (which I was afraid of being brother-sister like).

The saga is a story where the paranormal meets the normal, where destiny played a trick, where there are different levels of love, where nobody is perfect and nothing is healthy and sane.

It was never supposed to be just an Edward/Bella story. It was never supposed to be only Edward/Bella unless Bella became a vampire. Edward met her to be his mate. And there is no way around it.

Bella and Edward are tied to each other in an otherworldly way. You see how co-dependent they are during New Moon. And you see that its not healthy and there is a lack of equality that has to be dealt with. Edward is blinded by Bella, Edward is Bellas Eclipse, but during an Eclipse you can always see the outer rim of the Sun. And the sun is Jacob. A mortal needs the sun.

With an immortal its a different story.

Oh, definitely respect the teens! My daughter has been hanging out with this girl since the beginning of the school year (ps- dtr is 12 and loves the movies but hasn't read saga, yet). Anyway, her new friend came over for her b-day slumber party and when I found out she was a Twi-hard we sat on the trampoline talking about all the books for like and hour. My daughter came over and I told her she needed to walk away b/c she hadn't read BD yet!

Yeah, even though Edward does have a lot of issues (he's a vampire who simultaneously loves and desires the blood of his girlfriend who can't bring himself to change her so that he can be with her forever, pain free and happy, because he fears he has no soul and doesn't want to take hers away from her) I do kind of feel like it's the pot calling the kettle black. Really, I mean the werewolf who is lusting after another guy's girl, wants to imprint on her (which will only make life hard for her), and feels that the love of his life is dating his mortal enemy should really be the last one to talk!!!

I'm not trying to be rude, but please try and tell us something we don't already know.

oh well thank you for agreeing with me. I will admit that im team edward, but after reading the books several times, i have lessened my hate for jacob and learned to be more objective. But, i still can't stand this whole movie making business and how they try to emphasize themes that weren't really stressed in the book. Bella is not that torn as the actors and summit make it seem…for god sakes, after she kisses jacob she goes and cries to edward basically begging him to be mad at her. Like, you said it's natural to finally just give in and maybe see what it's like. For god sakess, i have a gf now and sometimes i wonder what my life may be like with somebody else, but in the end i always discover that im much better off with my gf and that i cant live without her. Thats basically what bella discovers, yea it can work with jake and she discovers that you can love people in different ways, but in the end, she knew that she couldn't live without edward and she knew her love for edward was so much more. Jake was her best friend, but romatically it just wouldn't have been the best relationship. And i know everybody wants to feel bad for jake and thats why so many people love the character, but come on the kid knew what he was getting himself into. He knew in new moon that bella doesn't love him like he loves her and he knows her heart is somewhere else and in eclipse, its the same thing and also he doesn't imprint on her so that shoulda told him right there that she wasn't the one for him. But, in truth, jacob was bella's first big crush. I think on the rez there aren't many women to choose from and when he developed that bond with bella when they were young making mud pies, im sure bella just stuck in his mind. But, i think we all know that best friend relationships never work out. More than likely, best friends are better just being best friends. But i really hate the argument that team jacob fans make that jacob is the best friend so they should be together…well what does that make edward, a piece of crap. When you are in a relationship with someone, they are your best friend too. Edward was here lifetime best friend cuz he was never gonna go anywhere.

I wish they just wouldn't stress this love triangle so much and make it seem like eclipse is all about bella being torn and having to make a decision. Bella hates hurting jake and thats why she's torn. Shes selfish for keeping him around and letting him hold her hand so his feelings don't get hurt, but its nice that she fought hard to keep jake as her friend cuz in the end it all works out. Breaking dawn is that happily ever after and everyone will get their way. I just hope taylor lautner starts to realize what he has to do mentally in breaking dawn…i watched him in interviews ad somebody brought up about how he was gonna have to love a baby and it was like he totally forgot that's where his character is going cuz everybody is so stuck on adding movie drama by emphasizing the love triangle.

But, i have faith in david slade and if they want to over emphasize here and there thats fine cuz i get u want to add the drama in the movie, but as long as it comes together at the end and bella truly looks like shes happy with her choice in edward i will be happy. I think new moon was pretty on point for the most part, but still it felt like they were trying to push fans to like jacob in this movie by making him a little nicer than he truly was in the books. They made edward so depressing in new moon, but i still was able to tell that the connection between edward and bella was stronger so that made me happy. I think edward should be a little more lively in eclipse and i hope they give us the cute moments and romantic moments between bella and edward including the leg hitch. I've always hated what jake did in this book in terms of how he got his two kisses with bella, but i am very intrigued to see how taylor and kristen kiss…i wonder if kristen is gonna kiss him with more passion than she kisses rob. Will be very interesting, but in the end, i will always love edward no matter what. He truly is the better guy for bella, but don't get me wrong, jacob is a great guy too…he's just not for bella

Bella and Edward are adicted to each other. That is something that they cant control.
Bella and Jacob progresses naturally. They are both independent, stand alone but have something special that develops. Its how love sometimes flows. And to some people its boring.
To me its just Stephanic logic that doesnt make sense. Bella kisses Jacob, Bella realizes she loves Jacob, two seconds later she says I love you but I love Edward more….
Stephanies writing never made Jacob a serious competition. But I Taylor outshines the Jacob of the book.

I love Kristen and I love Rob and there is room for Taylor too.

I wish they would have simply included the meteor speech. My fear is that the proposal doesn't make sense the way they cut it. People who did not read the books were like WTF, didn't he just leave her alone to suffer and almost die? Why would she say yes to that?

Yeah well i hope that im interpreting the way your supposed to. I think the problem with alot of people is that they want to modernize the story and make it 21st century. But, i put myself in stephanie meyer's world and i read what she wrote and what i feel is based entirely on what she wrote. I don't look for hidden meanings b/c i think meyer is a straight up writer. Thats probably why stephen king hates her, cuz she writes simply and is easy to figure out what she is trying to say, but in her defense she allows the reader to understand the story and imagine themselves in her vampire world with bella, edward, etc.

Anyways, i really need a trailer for eclipse to come real soon…im so impatient. I've never been obsessed so much about one thing. Twilight series are actually the only books ive ever read in my life. There is something just so addicting about it. I am a guy so of course i love the action movies such as transformers, batman, ironman, etc. but the real kind of romance mixed with vampires, wolves, and action is just intoxicating to me. But im sure the studio will do a good job with eclipse, i have faith in them. And im really hoping that BD is two movies…i know alot of people don't want to wait and that it would be too suspenseful for them to wait. But i love the suspense and the cliffhanger endings and i rather wait for the 2nd part to come out, rather than watching a severely condensed version of the book.

totally agree and omg i love how u said that jacob is her sun, but edward is her eclipse. I think the fans should do interviews instead of the actors….i think we know their characters better than the actors do. They over analyze the books way too much and get the message wrong half the time. I don't think edward has issues at all…rob pattinson constantly bashes his character i swear..hes even on team jacob. I love rob, but if ur gonna play edward show some pride more often. He better not play a depressing version of edward in eclipse. Edward's issues are so small and his issues don't even last long. Is jake bipolar for all of the book…yes. Is edward controlling the whole book…no (edward realizes he was holding a grudge against the wolves, but he grew up very fast and let bella do what she wanted). But i really hate how the media and the critics and our modern world makes edwards and bellas relationship so unhealthy…what is so wrong about the strongest type of love…true love. I don't think their love is stupid teen love. Those two were just meant for each other. Edward would do anything for her and she always wants her to be happy. Jake acts like getting bellas heart is a game half the time and he is more concerned about his happiness rather than bellas. If anything jacob is the unhealthy teen character b/c his thing for bella is just one big crush..its not like the kid has had experience with girls like edward has. Like a teen, he thinks that his life is nothing without bella and he goes through periods of anger/depression and it just takes him forever to realize that bellas happiness is more important and that bella isn't the one for him. If jake and bella got together it would be so unhealthy cuz bellas heart would never beat as hard for him as it did for edward. You just wouldn't be able to erase edward from bellas heart…edward consumes her b/c they are meant for each other…its like they were destined to be with each other. Jake and bella's relationship wouldn't be true and it wouldn't be real. Everyone needs to stop making jake out to be this saint and edward this unhealthy vampire with issues.

I really can't make up my mind what my favorite book is. Like eclipse finally gets back to some of that romance between edward and bella that i love, but then u throw jake into the picture and for the life of me, i try to like jake in eclipse, i really really do. Im trying to be more accepting of him, but in eclipse, i just wish he would shut the hell up. And how he gets bella to kiss him those 2 times just bugs the living crap out of me. But then the action (since im a guy) makes me still enjoy this book thoroughly.

But then you got breaking dawn and this book is just what i have always been waiting for since i first read twilight…vampire bella! And jake finally becomes a mature human being. he finally realizes that as a friend, he should worry more about bellas happiness rather than playing games with her and not thinking about her feelings. You gotta love jake when he goes out and forms his own pack so that the other wolves dont rip apart renesme. And then you got the down right addicting romance on island esme..the sex, the skinny dipping, the pillow biting, bed breaking..AHHH it drives me wild cuz i love action, but then romance just touches me more. And just how after bella is turned, everyone is just one big family and finally everyone can be friends and bella and edward just embrace each other so much cuz they don't know how much time they have to live b/c of the volturi.

So, what i tell people is that in terms of my favorite book i pick eclipse for the best action book and breaking dawn for the best romance book.

I find myself to be mature by this time in my life and i find no need to hide what i really feel. Im not in high school anymore, i dont have to act like romance is yuck. I have always been a romantic guy and ive always loved the romance. For the longest time, i think the notebook was my favorite love story. As for my gf, she wants to read them but she just never seems to find the time to sit down and finally do it. She read twilight and new moon, but she has not gotten to eclipse or bd yet. I'm like i can read each book in a day or less, what takes you so long lol. Once i start reading these books, its hard for me to stop. The worse thing was i had a med school test to study for and it was the week that they released like a billion clips for new moon (like a month away from the release date) and i just got so possessed that i spent 3 days reading new moon -> BD. I still did good on my test, but it was so hard trying to focus on school when all i could think about was new moon. But now im in eclipse mode and i think i search google 500 times a day to see if there is any new news cuz eclipse is just such a good book and im really hoping they get it right.

agreed though i still think weitz could have done better on new moon. I still dont think they told the story right in some areas…for the most part they were spot on. I felt that they made edward too overly depressing in the movie and i felt that jacob was made out to be a little too nice. Its like they almost wanted us to switch teams in new moon so that by eclipse, we can make an ultimate decision. Its like edward was the good guy in first, jacob was the good guy in second, and we gotta make a decision by eclipse who we like more. I get thats its the movie business and u wanna attract people who aren't fans, but there are better ways to do that rather than over emphasizing stupid things such as the love triangle and bella being torn over two guys and her having to make this ultimate choice. Bella has always know what she wanted.

I think taylor outshines book jacob, but still i find him boring haha. So now in eclipse, they just probably want to portray both guys as so dreamy and amazing and bella has the hardest decision to make in the world. But summit just needs to stop the crap and go by the book in terms of what themes are really portrayed and they need to stop over emphasizing bullcrap stuff like the love triangle and bella's choice. Everyone knows that edward is the one and that bella is just torn cuz she just wants jake to be her damn friend, yet jake is an idiot and thinks too much about his wants and his needs and doesn't think enough about what bella wants.

I think saying Rob and Kristen are spreading lies is a bit harsh. They have the right to their interpretation of the book, as you are. And I actually agree with yours, at least based on Jacob and Bella's relationship in the books. I think they are more than brother and sister now that I've seen the film and I actually enjoy it. It makes Eclipse more interesting.

i am in the same boat as you in that i think that edward was not portrayed correctly in new moon.

however… chris weitz did a great job.. put the little iffy bits aside… weitz created the best so far (kicked twilights ass) and i believe new moon will be the best movie of the 4.

Yeah true true. I don't think new moon will be the best movie, jut cuz new moon has the least amount of substance. Chris weitz may be the best director though cuz he took a tough book with not too much subtance and did make it into somethig beautiful. Twilight was crap yet I still loved the whole
idea behind the book that I enjoyed the movie. Eclipse the movie should be better technically, but in the end if it is better, it may just be for the mere fact that David slade had more to work with in terms of plot and action. and having just got home from watching new moon again.. i must admit.. the only reason he is in so much old man clothes is coz he wore the suit and shirt for bellas birthday and pretty much wore that the whole way throughout the movie coz he never got changed and he is wearing that in bellas hallucinations (coz thats the last thing bella saw edward in). so fine.. ill let that slip.

but… his side burns are too long and hes got too much of the rob pattinson hair-do (even though i love r-pattz hair… edwards needs to go up more at the top and back more around the sides… not all over the place like r-pattz)

I was glad about taylor though in that sense that i was actually able to stand jacob in the movie. I actually sat through edwards absence and i wasn't bored so i definitely give him props for that. Cuz when i read the books, i almost want to skip over the dialogue between jacob and bella cuz it just bores me to death.

The hubby tells me all the time I read freakishly fast, haha. And that for someone with diagnosed ADD he doesn't understand how I can sit for hours without moving when I read these books. They're just magical like that what can I say? I think we would all agree, lol

yes I do….when they started re-read new moon I was reading BD just befor the volturi arrive… so I jumped back to new moon but I was cheating… one chapter a day is just to less I somehow cant stop…;o)…when I read the books the first time I didn't sleep for nights…

oh yeah the health profession is just nuts. And the amount of work i have to do in medical school, its not hard to me but i don't get the point of learning it at such an accelerated pace.

after I read the first 3 books I discover by accident that there was a movie from the first one already so I was looking for it but it was nowhere in no cinema I called (and I called a few) they know that I was talking about so I go and check the DVDs…and then someone told me that Twilight will be released in January so I wait till January and then two month more for BD.

Somewhere the focus of what twilight is about got lost. this is edwards and bella's love story. not a Bella, Edward, jacob love triangle. As soon as you start to read the first chapter bella and edward are planning for the future. Throughout all of eclipse bella is just as crazy in love with edward as she was in twilight. She knows what she wants. Even though she comes to realize that she loves jacob it does not mean that she starts having second thoughts about Edward. if anything that confirmed what she knew all along that she cannot live without edward.

I say the same thing about rob and stewart. they are wonderful actors but they do not have a deep understanding of the characters they portray. everytime stewart answers a question about the book it shows me more and more that she does not understand the characters.

And i guess i can understand them. They almost want to try to modernize the story a little bit in their own way. And well i think kristen is BFF with lautner in real life, so she will always make jacob sound like a great character. And rob..well rob is just a special guy. First, the kid puts himself down all the time and his brain (just like kristen's) seems to just a work a different way. He's totally hilarious in interviews and stuff, but i wish he would stick up for himself and his character a little more. Its ok to have some pride rob. I swear he's on team jacob, just cuz he thinks he could never be as good as edward. Rob probably imagines himself as an underdog so thats why hes on team jacob.

But i dunno, i realize that the movies can never be as good as the books. Us fans will always know the true meanings of the books and we will always find ways to critique the movies. Its just our obsessive nature over twilight being perfect.

I wish i could interview them though cuz so many people that interview them don't even know the story so if rob or kristen said something i didn't agree with, i would love to refute what they said.

Perhaps it's my age. Even though the story is through Bella's POV, it was a POV from a very inexperienced teenager. Her thought process was biased and slightly immature (rightly so, she's young!) so it was very easy to know that Jacob may not have measured up “to her”, but in reality he did measure up. As the books continued she became that friend that's dating a guy you don't approve of, and you're like “What is up with her? She doesn't seem happy…why does she stay with him?” As perfect as she said Edward was I never truly bought into it. That's another reason why I find these books so great…everybody applies their own perspective reading along with Bella's experience. So yes, at times when she would go on, and on, and on, and on about how good Edward looked, smelled, etc. I did have to look away from the pages and roll my eyes and snort…and yes BD was my least favorite book, especially the latter half but Jacob got me through it and I thank him for that I'm actually rereading outloud for my husband and he keeps falling asleep when Bella is turning into a vamp…I forgot how loooong that part was. OMG i know…i remember reading that and i can see how he would be depressed a little in new moon, but still have some passion. Your suppossed to be deeply in love with bella…you can say that bella is the girl that gets his heart beating again. Im reading eclipse over again right now and as i read and imagine edward, i dont imagine rob b/c rob really plays edward so freaking depressed sometimes.

It bugs the crap out of me. Rob may be right though in a way. Edward probably was depressed b/c around him all his siblings had someone to love and he didn't, but he couldn't find that somebody in his 100 some years of existence. He goes to forks high school with all a bunch of regular humans so yeah i guess thats depressing. When ur a vampire and u think u have no soul and u think u have nothing to live for.

But then we all know what happens…this girl named bella swan comes into his life and he feels something as a vampire that he has never felt before. I think bella gives edward a soul and she gets his heart beating again.

im gonna let him off for being depressing in new moon cuz he did have some good instances of happiness and im sure edward was depressed after jasper attacked bella and then he probably feels so guilty for leaving bella so that when he comes back into bellas life, edward probably is a little down. But i do love that when bella saves him, he smiles and says “you're alive”. At least he showed a tidbit of joy there. And then it was good when he was asking her to marry him…he tried to smile a little more.

I think he will do better in eclipse, i really do. I think rob is actually intimidated by taylor and i think rob will be bringing in eclipse to show people that his character is better. So, right now i guess we just keep our fingers crossed and hope that rob changes his mind about edward being depressed in eclipse. All, im saying is that the proposal scene better be damn romantic and i really hope the leg hitch scene is in there.

im telling ya its like people take one line out of the 600 page book and make a conclusion of the book based on that one line. As soon as i get to the line where she is imagining a life with jake im gonna copy it down.

I can understand that everybody may interpret characters a little different. But when ur totally off in terms of the themes portrayed in eclipse, there is something wrong with u. If they ruin my eclipse, i will not be a happy camper.

The book is definitely the easiest book to understand in the world. U don't have to be all scholarly to interpret it. Kristen and robs mind are totally out there sometimes. I love em, but sometimes i just dont understand them. But also they change their mind all the time…kristen started out team edward, and then she was changing her mind to team jacob, and then she decided to side with her character and go with edward.

The problem they just dont want to base their opinions on the book sometimes. I find it disgusting that people would switch teams based on new moon. You pick a team based on the book, u don't pick a team based on the movie. Edward could have been cast as the dumbest guy in the world and i would still go into the movies being a team edward fan cuz the true story is in the books.

oh man and i totally didn't realize that lautner was the one who said bella is torn between two guys. Now i was kinda ok with him as jacob, but now i think i have a little hate for the kid.

If anybody wants bella and jacob to be together, its him. Sometimes i think, all lautner cares about is the love triangle. he thinks thats the point to his freakin character or something.

Greatest was when an interviewer asked him about BD. I almost laughed off my chair cuz it was like taylor isn't realizing at all that his character is gonna have to love a CGI baby. Its like everyone wants to fixate on this love triangle as the point to new moon and eclipse. I forget what tv spot it was, but for new moon the guy was narrating in the background and saying how bella is gonna have to make a choice and now in eclipse, i can just imagine them stressing that bella has to make a choice.

If i had enough money, i would tape a commercial telling summit to portray the correct meanings to these books. Sometimes i think i just shouldn't look at what the big 3 says, b/c their comments can just get me so angry sometimes.

MSTG, you are absolutely right… the fact that Jacob prefers her to die than to become a vampire and totally throws it to her face, is not just cruel, it's petty. Even if he felt that way because he was angry, no-one should ever say something like that to someone, especially while claiming to love her and forcing her to pick him over Edward.

Points to Jacob though in the tent scene and at the end when he finally accepts that there was always only Edward. And of course the way he is in BD… finally a true friend…

For me the proposal at the end was nothing more that an effort to regain control. Edward wanted Bella to have a happy life, but he also has to learn how to balance things. Bella and Edward have a relationship with dominance issues.

I don't know about anyone else, but the reason the books have me addicted worse than anything ever has before is because of the feelings and memories they evoke.
Once you're totally involved in the story, you remember being that young and completely nuts about someone. The whole vampire/werewolf thing is incidental, it's the relationships that draw the reader in.
The reason Edward and Bella are so compelling is because they hold back and can't have sex without there being consequences; something that's totally at odds with modern life. It reminds me of being a teenager and knowing there are lines you can't cross which makes it more of a turn on. The whole romance is built on anticipation and it's very erotic.
There's a certain mood that you can't recreate when you're older and more experienced, and the books evoke that mood perfectly.
People go on about the saga being a bad example to set to young girls but that's dumb. They have sexualised images all around and the saga's a bit more innocent but the issue of sex is always in the background. At least the characters are being responsible, in weird ways.
That was me being all sensible and responsible, it feels wrong somehow!

Oh yeah i know…in a perfect world, she would be thrown out. I dunno if u ever saw the 2nd draft for the new moon script, but it was pretty pathetic. I think my first draft would have been better than hers. And to think that if it wasn't for chris weitz, edward asking bella to marry him wouldn't be in there, just makes me sick. Like she may think she knows better but she doesn't..we didn't buy the twilight books by MR, we bought the twilight books written by stephanie meyer. I'm ok with condensing some things cuz i know u can't fit everything in and i'm ok with adding extra action, but she freaking miss so many little moments in the books that mean so much to us readers.

But come on with all the success of these films, they would never throw her out. I wonder if us fans can get to together and write summit a letter haha.

Believe me, i may be a guy and i love the action movies like transformers, dark knight, ironman, etc. but if i had to pick my favorite movies, its romance. Romance just hits ur heart and really touches u. So of course for new moon, i was ok with the added action b/c they needed to add a little b/c the plot of new moon is a little dry. New moon just killed me b/c its like they rushed threw the movie as soon as alice comes. They didn't make it that dramatic for me when bella is going to save edward and i think edward could have been a little happier.

There is a lot of romance in eclipse that i love and if MR didn't put it in the script i will be so angry b/c we all know she fails to write in those little moments between edward and bella that make us readers smile and get us excited. MR should just stick to her serial killer dexter show. Dexter is amazing, but with twilight, you have to be so engrossed in the story and u have to be an extremely emotional person to truly understand the story. u have to let ur mind free and envision yourself in that world, but MR modernizes crap too much for me.

I am so sick of this love triangle crap, i could puke. The romance in eclipse is not the love triangle. The love triangle is all about drama, but only in the tent scene…thats it. And i'm pretty sure the tent scene didn't last the whole movie. And i'm pretty sure the war didn't last the whole movie.

If they make jake look like an amazing guy in this one and if they run tv spots telling us about bella has to make a choice…blah blah blah. Im gonna be mad. I remember the new moon tv spot where they were already telling us that bella had to make a choice, yet i didn't really see that anywhere in the movie. Summit loves the money and they think they are generating more fans by making this crap sound more dramatic or something, but they are so wrong.

I really don't know how anybody is team jacob. I have just learned to accept jacob for the fact of enjoying the movies more and b/c i was so tired of getting into fights with team jacob fans. I just have discovered that team jacob fans are delirious. they're like oh we hate edward cuz he left bella. Well ok 1st-he left b/c he thought it would be better for her life (that doesn't sound so cruel to me) and 2nd-im pretty sure jake left bella many more times and throughout new moon and eclipse, you can probably write down over 100 mean lines that he said. Edward is never mean and he is never selfish. If anybody was a vampire like edward and they had a bella, im sure they would be extremely protective of them too. When i think of edward i dont frown on him for being overprotective of bella cuz the real truth is that edward just loves bella SO MUCH.

These last 2 books are the best books in the series, and when u think of eclipse, u do think of the war, but there is also alot of edward and bella and the cullens so we better get to see that. Jacob isn't even that big of a part in this book until the tent scene. Like yeah bella goes over to hang out with him a couple times, but its really boring crap that happens except for when bella punches him for kissing her.

Jacob is just so pathetic that i would never want to be like him and thats why i hate him. Even though i have learned to accept him, i will never change my stance that jacob is the most boring character in the book. And i think he is boring just cuz he is so human. Jacob is totally a modern teen boy. If u can ever relate twilight to 21st century, u can totally pick out jacob. And b/c he is such a teen boy and b/c taylor lautner is a teen boy, i don't find his acting incredible. I find his character to be ridiculously easy to play. He doesn't have to display any deep emotions at all…all he has to do is act like a teen guy.

In the extraordinary world of twilight, why would someone want to root for someone so human and so representative of teen boys today. Hell, i wish vampires were real and i wish i could be like edward. Edward is so much cooler.

Anyways, for now im gonna hope that eclipse is good. But if they make it another 2 hour 10 minute movie, its gonna stink. Truth is, its gonna be the summer and they have to make the movie longer. That is these movies big problems, they condense way too much. New moon just needed an extra 20 minutes and it could have been way better.

But, i hate to be this negative 7 months before the movie so for now im gonna stay positive until i see it and make my final decision on if i want to kill MR even more than i already do.

A part of me that I will never let listen knows that if I were to truly look deeply into underlying themes of the saga there would be a lot there that would be bad examples for young girls…trust me my mother dishes it out to me all the time and it is hard to say that she is wrong on some of her points. However, I am so swept up in the romance of it…that is how I choose to look at it…an epic amazingly beautiful love story with a bit of fantasy mixed in.

I think eclipse will be amazing and i have high hopes. What i will try not to do is listen to the actors in these interviews cuz they are totally wrong when they interpret the story.

Lautner seems to think bella is torn between edward and jacob which is crap.

kstew seems to think bella is denying that she is in love with jacob and new moon and that by eclipse, she admits she is totally, absolutely in love with jacob, which is again a bunch of crap. Bella does not have time to be in love with jacob in new moon and in eclipse, she admits she's in love with him (though i still think she is lying), but come on she is not totally, absolutely in love with jacob.

If u listened to the new moon press tour, you might have thought new moon was gonna be a very different movie and that the themes were different. But after i saw the movie, it was point on with the book pretty much and kstew and others were very wrong in their interviews about what the movie is all about.

So im just gonna ignore what they say about eclipse and as long as the movie portrays the book correctly, i could care less what the actors say and they can misinterpret the story all they want…all i care about is the movie being on point with the book and i will be able to pick out the real themes of the movie.

Your so right…and people need to realize that the only reason the whole love triangle crap is in the books is to really show the reader how strong the love between edward and bella really is. After all, the main story behind these books is the love between edward and bella.

I'm a guy so i don't really care about taylor's abs either. Edward and bella's love is far more intersting to me than talking about how a character is better b/c he got some muscles and gained some abs. In some ways, i think thats a stab in the back to taylor if girls only like him b/c of his muscles.

they better throw in bella begging for it somewhere in the movie…i will be so freakin mad. There are alot of PG-13 movies out there with sex in them or talks of sex in them, so if MR decides to shield the children by not including bella begging for it in some way, im gonna start a fight with MR myself.

oh no i remember that scene well…hell i think every scene is important in eclipse. I even want to see a stupid scene like edward and bella going to visit renee in jacksonville so that again we get that effect that edward and bella are so drawn to each other and obsessed with each other.

But MR looks over all the small things that make many of us fans go nuts for the twilight saga

if i ever saw MR on the street, i might accidentally try to break her hands so she could never write another script again. But now thinking about it, she would just get one of those headpieces that recognize your voice and type for u.

…young people can afford to be looked at like morons who cant make their own decisions and deal with the consequences of their choices…thats one thing that bella realizes as the story goes on…that what she is asking may be a high price to pay…but she is willing to pay it as long as Edward is the prize….its not real life ppl need to chill…but i think it illuminates some interesting things about human nature, morality, love and choices…and especially free will…the whole idea that “doing what is technically right on paper…may not actually be whats right for u…or fighting for what u want…breaking the mold”…ppl only focus on the negatives in this book sometimes… there are a lot of hopeful themes too…and it shows how cynical (a lot of these critics) actually are…

agreed my friend…taylor put up a heartwarming performance…but even jake admits…u cant beat an eclipse…and for that matter they played largely to jake's strengths in this movie…jake did his fare share of manipulating bella…it irks me when ppl arent fair about that…i think the diff was the motivation…edwards motivation was always “I will do whatever I need to do to keep you safe/happy”…as opposed to jake's motivation (brilliantly played by taylor in the movie as heartwarming but not ultimately my interpretation of his love for bella) “I will do anything to keep you”…there is a distinct difference…i just keep remembering some of the immature things jake said throughout the book and it always bothers me…edward was willing to take her…no matter what…no matter how damaged…whether she was a wolf girl…(in eclipse he admitted to jake that he wouldve backed off had she chosen jake…but always would have been waiting for him to fall out of love or imprint or whatever else might have happened because his love for her was actually like emotionally and physically remaking him)…he wouldve taken her human (and old, because just as bells see edward…forever young and infallible…thats how he sees her…which was the significance for me of the mirror scene in new moon…she saw herself aged…he clearly didnt) and the only way he was reluctant to take her was to change her…because u kno forget about him being happy forever…her soul was worth more to him…so yea…i admit and fully agree with the wolf girls when they say jake loved her…but…it wasnt edward love…if she'd been turned before renesmee…he'd have been done with her…thats that…and its that lil fact that annoys me about jacob black…lol

im sorry, but edward is the shit. I wish i was edward. I don't think he is overprotective, i dont think he is controlling, and i dont think his love for bella is unhealthy.

Before bella, edward has nothing to live for. He is a vampire living with a family who all have significant others and he just sits there thinking he has no soul and then bella comes into his life and its like, his heart can beat again (trying to use some symbolism here haha). Edward just straight out loves bella to death and he is never selfish…for god sakes, he even admits that he doesn't want to change bella cuz then he would feel selfish. True story is that edward is a real man who cares more about his girl more than anything else in the world…he would do anything for her, he would die for her, and he would give her up if that is what she wanted.

I love romance and some couples in romance movies and stories are just so addicting to read about, but i must say that the love that edward and bella have for each other is just so damn intoxicating. i cant explain why i like it so much but i do.

And about school, i always downplay the stress. yeah sure i get stressed, but i am a pretty positive person so i really just like to keep calm and not get myself worked up. I am always the one trying to calm everyone down cuz its just not good to worry…stress is not good for our bodies lol. Except stress is good when taking a test cuz then u get more release of glucose to ur brain, etc.

But yeah i feel like i have no one to talk to either and i love this site so that i can chat with people who voice the same opinion as me and sometimes when im feeling nice, i try to respect and understand team jacob's fans opinions though i will admit that it always ends up with me fighting with them. Anyways, feel free to talk to me anytime…i just love talking about this series and my excitement will probably never die down. Im gonna go strong for 7 months until eclipse is released (and hopefully we soon learn about the plan for BD)

I admit i'm a movie lover and a tv show lover, but in no way was i ever a book reader. I despised reading to no end. I started hearing about twilight on entertainment tonight or something and i saw a couple trailers for it and i dunno, people just made it seem like it was this big thing that i was unaware of. I went to the midnight showing cuz anytime a big movie comes out, i just have to go to the midnight showing. I clearly realized that this was a girl thing, but still im usually the guy who likes the chick flicks more than girls do sometimes so that didn't bother me. As soon as edward cullen came on, it was like full out screaming and i was like man i better pay attention to this movie and see what all this hype is about. The movie industry totally underestimates the power of women…everybody wonders why twilight makes so much money and it is b/c for once women have decided to come see a movie which really interests them.

So of course not reading the book, i thought twilight was awesome. Maybe the movie wasn't the best made movie, but the whole idea of this vampire falling in love with a human and just how they portrayed vampires intrigued the hell out of me. And for once in my life, i went to amazon to see what the next book was. I saw it was new moon and immediately ordered it..for the first time, i wanted to know what happened next. i always loved harry potter movies too, but never was i inclined to go purchase the book to see what was gonna happen next.

I read new moon and i had fallen in love with edward and bella so that when edward left and jacob came in, i was thoroughly bored. I was like get the hell away from edward's bella. Jacob and bella's dialogue was so boring i just knew that edward was gonna come back into the picture and thank god he did. I love books and movies in which there is that great ending where the love reunites. New moon may have introduced jacob and the whole love triangle thing, but new moon also proved how strong bella and edward's love was.

Eclipse does include the love triangle reaching its climax, but finally its dispelled by bella as she realizes that edward is still her man again proving that edward and bellas love is magical.

And breaking dawn, well breaking dawn is just an amazing book to me and i love the crazy idea.

So i read all those 3 books and after sticking up for catherine hardwicke, i read twilight. Finished reading it and hit the blogs to bash the piece of crap. Holy crap, did she miss so many freakin cute moments between edward and bella and she made their love so not magical to me. She pretty much almost destroyed the franchise, but luckily the twilight fan base is strong. Just little moments like bella going to sit down with edward at their own table, etc. were left out and instead they put in stupid scenes like eating at the diner. I just didn't understand what catherine hardwicke was thinking. I think they need the fans to direct these movies, we are so much smarter.

i have read the books multiple times just to see what the hype of jacob is all about and i still dont see it. I guess u can make assumptioms of how good of a guy jacob would be, but IN THE BOOK, jacob is not written as a great guy. Sure, by breaking dawn, he becomes that great guy cuz he goes back to being that friend that bella needs.
Im totally gonna die in eclipse when bella and jacob kiss but i will get over it when bella goes and cries back to edward. I will just laugh at the jacob lover cuz with every kiss jacob gets, he still never gets that satisfaction from bella. Kiss one-bella punches him kiss two-yeah she says she loves him (which i still dont believe), but she runs back to edward crying feeling so bad for what she did cuz she just knows how much more she loves edward.

I think we might be meant for each other though or our brains are on the same wavelength cuz i really wanted an extra 20 minutes too, but all my 20 minutes i wanted added at the end as soon as alice comes. They totally rushed and didn't even give bella time to think that edward still didnt love her. Its like she reunites with edward and edward immediately tells her he lies. that was just no fun….the emotions at the end are just so deep and i still think they ruined it and its all b/c for some reason they think the movie can't be too long or something. the best part of new moon is the ending and even the critics said they wish there was more bella and edward. Its like they didnt even add drama into the bella saving edward scene. The music was poor to me and the whole build up was just way too rushed.

But im not gonna look too much into the less love, more war statement. If they asked me really fast about eclipse, as an actor, i think i would bring up the war as a big part in the movie too cuz compared to the other movies, eclipse does have the most action. But all the scenes u stated are also crucial so i think they have to watch what they say b/c there will be lots of action, but thats at the end and before the action there are so many more amazing things that go on.

We just have to cross our fingers and have faith and if they kill the movie, just read the book again to calm yourself down.

The critics are idiots. When anyone complains about the themes in the books I always wonder if they've read them all and know how things turn out. All the things that happen to Bella, all the choices she makes, are ultimately the right ones for her.
Rosalie would have chosen differently and so would Edward and they try and foist their opinions on Bella, as does Jake in a way when he says he'd rather she was dead than a vampire. Bella never wavers though, she know she want's Edward and she knows the price she has to pay.
The way Bella is after she's changed shows it was the right choice. She's so confident and there's no regret. What she gains far outweighs what she loses.
If anyone tried to dictate to me what was 'proper' for me to read when I was young, I would have told them where to go!

Jacob really matures in BD, but Edward still can't get a break. It's like uhmm..ok first you wanted my girlfriend turned fiancee turned wife, now you want my daughter?!!?

In NM Jacob was annoying, but I didn't want to pull my hair out. In Eclipse…I wanted to check myself into a mental asylum for psychotic disorders because he was driving me crazy!

He was being arrogant and cocky and OVERPLAYING the guilty card. Bella was gullable enough to fall for it, and Edward got hurt because of it. And Jacob is a total hypocrite. In NM he wanted Bella to stay away because she could get hurt like Emily. When Edward wants her stay away for her safety, Jacob blows up and calls him over-protective. Make up your mind Jake.

I will always come to Edward's defense. ALWAYS lol. Jacob, I like him in BD, and Taylor's acting in NM made me a bit more sympathetic, but nothing is going to stop me from bashing on him in Eclipse. Nothing.

As far as Eclipse goes, I get the whole “it's gonna kick ass” thing because they want to broaden the fan base and attract a new audience, not that they need it. But, seriously Summit, please dont mess this up. I hate having to wait 7 months to find out!

Yes we're two graduate students meant to be lol. 2o minutes would have made it a masterpiece. Chris Weitz said the dvd will have 20 minutes of never-before-seen footage, so let's keep our fingers crossed. I know it can't all be footage from the end, but any footage is better than none!

I also saw something you said in another post that i really related to… I SWEAR that if the Bella and Jacob kiss is more passionate or played up i will KILL SOMEONE with said pitchfork!! Plus, in the book its not hotter or more passionate as compared to when Edward leg hitch-O-lisiously attacks her, pulls her on top of him, then hovers over her OR when she says “please” and he gives into the passion he has been denying them as he realizes this is the ONE THING he can “try” to give her… it HOT in Chapter 20 and that is a longer more important, romantic, with proposal, lust, love, we will “try”, unbuttoning clothes, pummeling scene.. NO COMPARISON to the way Jacob manipulates Bella into getting him to ask her to kiss him!! Grrr, sorry, this topic gets me fired up!

medschool.. i would love to hear your thoughts on how Bella cries on Edward all night about Jacob, Edward, herself, the unnecessary heartache she caused being it was ALWAYS Edward… and how Edward asks her if she made the right decision.. that part always kills me when Edward asks her that… ugh. And her reassurance towards him really needs to come across in the movie I hope the dialogue is good and i know Kristen will bring it anyway! The interpretation of that scene is very important to me too.

So, anyway, we all need to get the pitchforks sharpened and the torches lit because we will be storming the gates if we don't get all the passion, lust, love and romance we deserve.

I was thinking about an interview that Kristen gave recently they were talking about Charlie's line in the NM movie how he says to Bella “Sometimes we should love what's good for us”. Kristen said (paraphrasing) “Yeah, its easy to say that.. but WHY, why settle? Go with your heart and your gut” I love that she said that because i am afraid that the studio really wants to keep pimping this non existent triangle and she is going to be saying.. “Oh, she finally realizes she's in love with Jake and is torn.. blah, blah, blah” She is NOT torn. And, um, Kristen we all know you are a badass who isn't dictated to so please don't placate the studio and say things we all know you don't agree with.. she is just as analytical as we are so i know she “gets it” that is why she is a phenomenal Bella!!

Anyway, i really love the way you look at this story. I have to say that i view Jacob as an “obstacle” and not really a “triangle”. He did prove that Edward and Bella were meant to be together. And anyone who read the books obviously KNEW that by the end of New Moon or they really just weren't reading the same story as me. (I also love that Kristen said “If people don't understand that Bella and Edward belong together by the end of New Moon, they don't deserve to get it”.. love her, and true!”)

I am worried about the way this is going to play out on screen because of the big Jacob push we had during the New Moon movie. I had a HUGE argument with my sis in law over the fact that she is “Team Jacob” now. I was like, what planet are you from? You are NOT “Team Jacob” you are “Team ABS” Seriously. Anyone who has read the books knows that there is NO “Teams” its always been Edward. Jacob was an obstacle (and MANIPULATIVE) … and Bella had no intention of EVER truly choosing him. She wished he was part of her family.. hello, like a brother. There was NEVER A CHOICE! That really frustrates me to no end. And this is my worry for the movie that they are going shove the “love” of Jacob down my throat and i will be irate. Its not even the central story.. the central story is the love between Edward and Bella!! Jacob is there to show the unity of Edward and Bella. I agree with you.

I didnt hate the kiss where she punched him because it was hilarious and then we got some great protective Edward coming out and the dialogue there was fabulous. The kiss after the tent scene.. yeah, i want to burn it from my memory and i havent even seen it as a true visual yet! I mean, he manipulated her, i will always see it like that. When he says “are you sure you want me come back or do you want me to die?” Are you kidding me? And i was pissed that SM gave like 3 pages to this kiss yet fades to black on Esme Isle? GRRR… but don't get me started on that! lol

I always seem to put myself in Edward's shoes or to his defense this whole saga. And when i knew he was going to find out about the kiss i wanted to protect him. I love the line he says after he finds out… ” And I thought I fought dirty. He makes me look like the patron saint of ethics” That is a great line. He wasn't angry and she wanted him to be. After reading and analyzing it a billion times because it was really hard for me to come to terms with the fact that she asked Jake to kiss her… and how Edward tells her that she loves Jacob and she says she loves Edward more! EXACTLY! And then he takes some responsibility for her having those feelings at all. If he didn't leave she wouldn't have had to lean on Jacob. I love how he takes the blame for it too. They are all so flawed. I love it. But how he would SACRIFICE an ETERNITY of living without her so she could be happy and wouldn't have to choose, that is something i feel that Jacob would NEVER have done. That is just another reason why they belong together.. why there was no “triangle”. And why i got over the whole “kiss” thing with Jacob.

I do find it harder for me to get past the whole crying on Edward thing. That really breaks my heart to no end and how he asks if she made the right choice.. stab me in the heart. “I am sorry you had to see that. That wasn't fair to you?” Yeah, Bella, you think! Oh I was so upset for Edward. And how he says that he had never seen her is so much pain. And then she thinks she has known worse pain when he left her. FINALLY BELLA, GOD. YES, i get it, but i hope it translates to the screen!! After they talk they go to tell Alice and go to the MEADOW, i love that scene. And i appreciate that they released that as the first photo from Eclipse because it gives me hope that they are going to get the romance, love and reason of this book.. Edward and Bella!!

And one more thing, I don't think that we have too much to worry about because the chemistry with Rob and Kristen is like a blazing inferno as Edward and Bella… there is NO comparison to the Jacob and Bella chemistry its like comparing apples and oranges. Or comparing a raging electrical fire burning up acres of forest to… pop rocks!

As for your side note, i must admit that i block that scene out of my head i think lol. I just cant stand how bella can honestly say that. I guess i can understand her, but the feeling bad for jacob card really has to stop. It was getting a little ridiculous. Jacob is not the only one with human feelings, edward has feelings too and she knows how much more she loves edward so it just doesn't make sense to me.

i agree…they are so jaded…but i realize that a lot of ppl are…actually i think thats a large part of the reason that NM gets hated on so much…nobody can believe in a love like B+E…and especially in BD when they finally get what they fought so hard for…for everyone else it was a let down…(and it would be nice to see a lil fight in the movie…but nothing crazy)…for me it was this exultant moment of relief…i was like YAY ALICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

true…i luv escapism too…man i live in my own head with lots of little stories to keep me entertained…lol…i dont believe in banning books…for one person the writing might be wrong…and for another…lifesaving/altering….books are windows to imagination…and im open to almost anything…the problem with ppl is that they are afraid to let their imagination run wild…either they are afraid of what it will reveal to them about themselves…or their afraid that if given the opportunity they'll find that they have no imagination…either way ur trapped really…

I hate any sort of censorship of books. When my nephew was younger I'd tell my sister if there was anything in a book I got him that she might object to but she usually let him read it anyway rather than being too over protective. He's 14 now and still loves to read which is pretty unusual.
I write a lot of really weird stuff and I can't rein in my imagination at all. My mum asked me once why I don't write anything about real life and I didn't understand the question. Why would I? That's not what interests me. I don't get ideas about real situations, I have ideas about myths and legends. That's what inspired me.

You're not the only SLS Twilight fan here. 3L here and I love, love, love E&B. Enjoyed the movies and sincerely hope DS does the love justice in Eclipse. Will flip out if love is sacrificed for action.

I do! I hardly ever post anywhere, though. I'm a die hard fan! My hubby and I are reading Twilight together right now — it's his first time.

I've read all of the books myself and I have the movie on my computer and my Iphone. I've already seen New Moon 4 times and I've pretty much taken to blaming Stephenie Meyer for any lack of productivity I experience as a result of my Twilight fixation. It's been an incredibly fun diversion for me and I haven't been this passionate about anything in a long time so I am an unabashed fan.

I do find that the people at the law school who have also read the books aren't nearly as Team Edward as I am.

DS's tweet from earlier today makes me hopeful. He says the first half of the film feels very emotional. Maybe that's good news for the love and the steamy scenes .

2)Edward telling Jacob he'll break his jaw (anger=sexy)
3)The proposal. All of it. I want Bella begging for it.
4)The tent scene…enough said
5)Bella reciting the line in Wuthering Heights to explain her love for Edward. *sigh*
6)Bella's dress, because I'm so excited/curious
7)The meadow scene at the end when Edward can hardly control himself…..so hot.

And of course the cute little scenes between them like applying to college, and doing some dishes together, and the Florida trip because the little things make all the difference. But those 7 above all else lol.

I've read some fanfic too, but it's definitely a lot steamier than SM would approve of. It's like Twilight for adults lol.

I would love to see Edward's relation to Heathcliff, but I just don't see MR being thoughtful enough to include it. She has a tendency to leave out things like that. I mean in NM we didn't get the “Death that hath sucked the honey of thy breath..” quote during the reunion. Instead, we got it during the class video of Romeo & Juliet.

In fact, we didn't even get the scene in which Edward reveals to Bella that before her, his life “was like a moonless night..” I mean, come on MR!! It's not that hard to screenwrite when you have the perfect script right before your eyes.

Sure, she has to condense, but condensing is not intrinsic to eliminating. They don't have to go hand in hand.

BD is definitely my favorite. I think in order to remain true to the book, it has to be done in two movies. I just don't see how it will work in one. Eclipse can be done in one movie, but I really hope it's longer than NM. Maybe a good two hours and forty-five minutes. (A girl can dream)

*sigh* Midnight Sun. It made me fall in love even more with Edward. I didn't even know that was possible. I love seeing how his mind works. I cannot wait until SM completes it!

I'm Team Jacob not because I want Bella to be with him, but because I like his character more than I like Edward, and if I were to choose a guy that's who I would choose.

And he doesn't “force himself” on her like he wants her sexually. He is desperate to save her life. He does not want her to become a vampire, he sees it worse than dying, so he's desperate for her to see she has another option, to live.

I'm tired of people making Jacob seem like he's a sexual assaulter, it's all about motive.

I do think Bella should be with Edward, she loves him a lot more, but he's not a bad seed.

Okay enough bashing the fans of Jacob! I like Jacob because of his character, not his abs, and NOT because Edward left her in New Moon. I use love Edward, but it was his controlling and manipulative behaviour in Eclipse that pissed me off so much that I started to like Jacob more.

Yes, I know, Edward did the things he did because he loved Bella and wanted to protect her. That's why in the end I know Bella and Edward belong together, there love is intense.

I am Team Jacob as in I love his character, and if I had to choose I'd choose Jacob as he is funny and allows her to do the reckless things. I don't think Bella and him belong together, he deserves someone to love him as much as she loves Edward.

But there is no need to diss the fans who like ALL the characters. We are not delusional because WE like Jacob more. I like Edward, but not nearly as much as I like Jacob.

I think as we are all true fans of the saga we should all get along and respect each other.

was a serious ball drop. What were they thinking?!!

I really like CW and New Moon, but there were some fundamental problems with
the film. They are all in the details too (read: A woman wouldn't have let
them happen). I have issues with paternalism. I hate the attempts to make
this a movie that will appeal to men. The men will come with the women –
they won't have a choice. I dragged my husband to see it twice, I'm sure
many other women did/will too. I just keep imagining a boardroom full of
suits focused on fight scenes and action. Grrr!

My issues with NM are as follows:

1. — You must never put Maybelline on the RPattz. Seriously, fire the
makeup person — he/she was overzealous.
Does this really need to be covered in white paint and red lipstick? I
think not.

Robert Pattinson is playing a vampire, not a ghost. I know they used makeup
in Twilight – but it was much more flattering. Also in certain scenes – it
almost looks as if he isn't made up at all (restaurant scene, kissing
scene, prom scene– his skin is a really warm color.) Insisting that he be
paler than Bella is a detail they should drop. Fast. If it's a choice
between the eye color changes and the pale skin — choose the eye color
changes — they're much more interesting!

2. — The contacts should be attractive, not distracting. Also — black
eyes when hungry (read – Laurent's scene and Edward in Volterra). This is
actually important! Why can't they comply?

3. — Also kisses are crucial. The Twilight kiss was epic — it was like
its own movie. People who think the E&B chemistry is missing from NM are
blaming R&K; but it's the camera angles and the male lens. Camera angles
are hiding the kisses behind shoulders, etc. Not good. The male
directorial lens deemphasized the importance of the kisses. Bad move. Women
*heart* kisses. Your audience is female– no matter how many fight scenes
you include. Are you listening, DS? Please don't ignore the details!

4. — You can make a longer movie if it means more Edward Cullen — these
are words to live by — stop shorting us!!!

I wonder if they use focus groups in post-production. I seriously think
they should consult us. Also, their focus groups should not be comprised
solely of tweens who aren't able to articulate what does and doesn't work in
these films. (Don't get me wrong, I love the tweens — they do the hard
work of standing outside screaming and showing Summit how much support there
is for the Saga. This function should not be underestimated.) However, they
need to look at the numbers and acknowledge that they have a huge adult
following (read Midnight Showings – 80% female -50% of females above the age
of 21) and adjust accordingly. A focus group made up of educated adult
female fans would be helpful. I hereby offer my consulting services, DS and
Summit!

i am very off date on this but i had to say this to someone…in eclipse it said jasper was the rank of Major by the time of his transformation and he was in army for 2 years. he went up SIXTEEN RANKS in only TWO YEARS! thats INSANE! the book said he ranked fast but i didnt know THAT fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 13 and my mom wants to see Eclipse with me but I wont have that, no sir. I know how the book is and all of the romance and I don't want my mother thinking I'm a book whore. Eclipse is my favorite book and I always go see the movies alone, it's been like that since twilight! I cannot wait to see it, TEAM EDWARD & Jacob.
