Haha we're in sync!

It's true that no one knows Bella better than SM, but I have read these books over & over and I still can't find the correct translation of love between Bella and Jacob.
Yes, she feels really guitly when she hurts him, but so would any other decent human being. Yes, she feels better when she's around him, but that just makes him her temporary “rebound”. She wants to see him be happy. Hey Bella, I want my friends happy too.
But none of these things constitute love. They constitute friendship.

And what Jacob needs to realize is that no matter how much he thinks he loves Bella, eventually one day he would imprint on someone else and leave her. He won't have a choice. It's not like he's be doing it to save her soul like Edward did in NM. No, Jacob would leave Bella because he found someone better.

So is Jacob a good friend? Sure, when he's not trying to kiss Bella or guilt her into being with him. That's like the modern day “pity sex” in a sense. And don't even get me started on how they are trying to modernize this entire franchise!!

But is Jake a good lover? I dont think so. Team Jacob would argue that he is healthier and less detrimental to her. She could still be with her family and she could grow and still be protected. True, all of that is true. But that wouldn't be guaranteed for life, because one day Jacob will imprint and leave. Edward would ALWAYS be there, even if she wasn't wth him.

He even said that to Jacob! I think it was in the tent scene when he says something like “but one day you would leave her and I will be there waiting.”

They both know. But even with all of that knowledge Jacob is selfish enough to keep hurting her with guilt and in the process hurts himself. It's like he's asking for it.

Haha, yes when it comes to Jacob fans I have to restrain myself. I see their points but I just can't bring myself to fully agree 100%. Maybe in a world where Jacob didn't imprint and Edward….i can't even say this….never…existed…aahhh! Maybe then Jacob would be right for her. But Edward DOES exist and Jacob WILL imprint.

Case closed.

SIDE NOTE: You know what part in Eclipse really gets me sooo pissed? Bella just left La Push after telling Jake she loves him & pictured their lives together…yada yada yaaa. Edward finds her in her truck and then holds her and just lets her cry…and what does Bella think? She's thinking she wants a different pair of arms around her!!! I threw my book across the room the first time I read that line! And still when I read it I get upset! Can't she realize pure perfection when it's holding her! God woman! If it's not Edward, it's not worth it! Imagine if Edward could have read her mind!! He would have been devastated!! Damnit Bella!! lol.

Whoa… you'd better not announce that too loudly around here or,as a future Daddy C and pronounced Twi-Guy, you will have ladies showing up at your doorstep (or your bedroom window Edward-style)! LOL! Many of the girls/women on here would love nothing more than to have their guys “get it”.

as a guy i feel it very hard to express how i feel sometimes, but thank god i have fans to talk to like you who basically takes the words that i cannot find in my head.

I love bella, but her and the whole jacob thing just makes me want to punch her. its like edward has feelings too. I know edward is stronger than jacob and can bear more than he can, but thats not to say that edward doesnt feel human emotions. It's utterly ridiculous for her to show such fake feelings towards jacob…the kid can handle himself..stop thinking he is such a baby. Like edward said, the kid knows how to play dirty. And all jacob fans might be thinking jacob is a saint for getting bella to realize like she loves him (pulls the trigger cuz she is lying to herself), but how the hell do u find his manipulating ways to be in the slight bit attractive. There is nothing romantic about the kid…hes a typical teenage guy with big freaking muscles and the brain the size of a pea. I love the tent scene when he finally realizes how much edward loves bella and i love how edward pointed out how jake's toys with bella emotions.

And then after she goes and sees jake at his house after he gets his bones crushed (thank you newborn for crushing that dog), she goes to her truck and cries to edward and comments that she wishes jacobs arms were around here….god, like another time i want to punch bella….its like jake makes her act like such a douche and i truly thinks he manipulates that way she feels about him. Sorry bella, but u don't love him…in BD, she goes right back to the way things were with jake just being the friend…its like in BD, you would think bella would act different to jake since she admitted that she loved him, but i think shes right back to just trreating him like a friend cuz thats all he really is. I think meyer made a huge error throwing in the “in love” word when it comes to bella and jakes relationship. There are just so many instances throughout new moon -> BD that seem to contradict her romantic feelings for jake.

I know stephanie meyer will say the love is there, but the way she wrote the book, its just not there. And thank you for pointing out so many good quotes from kstew cuz you have made me less angry at her and now i can overlook her interview saying that bella is absolutely in love with jacob. I just think that crap is coming from summit and stephanie meyer's mouth but i don't really buy it at all. She is not absolutely in love with jacob…it just goes against the way she acted all throughout eclipse and all throughout breaking dawn.

I love all the little things u remember and are able to point out…sometimes i forget the little moments that get me so riled. I totally agree with you that meyer should have elaborated the edward and bella love on island esme….like why she devotes so much detail to jake and bella's kiss is beyond me. But i guess if ur trying to add drama into a book that crap is a good drama but to the true fans who read the books b/c of the relationship between edward and bella, it like didn't make sense at all. I just still will never believe that the relationship with bella and jake was real…yeah they had a friendship…a very manipulative and game playing friendship but thats it.

And finally, hell yeah there is no freakin love triangle. Bellas feelings for jake are way over exaggerated and this love triangle crap is BS and bella being torn between two guys is just BS. I was in love with jake but i knew it was not enough bella said….so there no love triangle. There was no choice to make ever cuz edward was always her guy. I love how u say jake is an obstacle cuz thats totally how i view him. I wished he was just totally wiped out of the story in BD cuz even though he is normal in BD, he is still just so dumb and boring and him falling in love with a half-vampire baby is just plain weird. I love that the half- vampire baby is born, but i wish meyer just got rid of jake and didn't have him imprint.

I saw that meadow picture released as well from eclipse so i have high hopes that it will end up in the movie. I really hope this movie is good and for now all i can do is think positive cuz after all the false messages being sent out for new moon, i think the movie actually told the story pretty accurately. Of course i would have loved for edward/bella at the end and a little more drama leading into bella going to save edward, but for the most part the last thing she says to jake pretty much tells u that the love triangle is crap…. Bella to jake: “don't make me choose, because it'll be him, it's always been him”…i know kstew hated saying that line cuz it made her emotional but i was like hell yeah girl, u tell that piece of crap.

And hopefully by the time eclipse is over your sis will come back to the correct team (even though the whole team thing is getting on my nerves) and get off “team abs” cuz abs mean totally nothing. Edward is such a deeper character and has so much more to offer and is so much more romantic, he makes jacob look like a piece of crap. All jacob has is his petty jokes and his muscles….besides that, he is just a boring idiot.

the movie nontheless will be very interesting and i cant wait to hear what the tv spots are gonna be saying about bella having to make a choice, but they can send out the wrong message all they want cuz as long as the movie correctly portrays the book, i will be a happy camper. Half the crap they tried to hype up about new moon was so false…if u read the books and watched the movie, u understood the real message that the movie sent. New moon has nothing to do with the love triangle. All it does is establish an obstacle for the next book that edward and bella's love easily breaks through. Jacob never had a chance breaking their bond. I will never feel bad for jake and i will never cheer for him as the underdog. He is just a piece of dirt and he gets too much sympathy that it makes me sick.

I was reading s*x scenes at the age of 8 and I used to get chased out of the adult section of the library for reading books well beyond my years. I didn't care.
I generally go by the mantra of watching what the critics hate and avoiding what they rave about. I never agree with them.
I've watched NM 5 times and it's brilliant despite what that woman did to the screenplay. The box office doesn't lie and NM is taking in so much money.
Critics are bitter and jaded, who needs em?!

I love escapism like the saga. I spend more time in a fantasy world than I do in the real one! There's room for all types of stories, I don't see why people want to limit what we can read and watch.
I found BD odd the first time I read it because there are so many surprises in it but when you really think about it, the story ended exactly as it should and it's one of the few books you can put down and feel satisfied with the ending.
Then you pick up Twilight and start all over again!

You are so wrong. Jacob is the coolest in Eclipse, so much more interesting than Edward that is really boring and never has his own opinion. Edward is a control freak in Eclipse, when he say to Bella that she cant meet Jacob, that is not for Edward to decide. I hate Edward in Eclipse.
Jacob loves Bella and he is better for her, and you should not forget that the sexiest parts of Eclipse is between Bella and Jacob.

Eclipse is NOT a “war movie”, its about love, and the most important in it is the love triangle, they cant take away the feelings in it. I want Eclipse to be more intimate, the fighting scenes in it is not important.

It would have been better If a women directed it.

2)Edward telling Jacob he'll break his jaw (anger=sexy)
3)The proposal. All of it. I want Bella begging for it.
4)The tent scene…enough said
5)Bella reciting the line in Wuthering Heights to explain her love for Edward. *sigh*
6)Bella's dress, because I'm so excited/curious
7)The meadow scene at the end when Edward can hardly control himself…..so hot.

And of course the cute little scenes between them like applying to college, and doing some dishes together, and the Florida trip because the little things make all the difference. But those 7 above all else lol.

I've read some fanfic too, but it's definitely a lot steamier than SM would approve of. It's like Twilight for adults lol.

I would love to see Edward's relation to Heathcliff, but I just don't see MR being thoughtful enough to include it. She has a tendency to leave out things like that. I mean in NM we didn't get the “Death that hath sucked the honey of thy breath..” quote during the reunion. Instead, we got it during the class video of Romeo & Juliet.

In fact, we didn't even get the scene in which Edward reveals to Bella that before her, his life “was like a moonless night..” I mean, come on MR!! It's not that hard to screenwrite when you have the perfect script right before your eyes.

Sure, she has to condense, but condensing is not intrinsic to eliminating. They don't have to go hand in hand.

BD is definitely my favorite. I think in order to remain true to the book, it has to be done in two movies. I just don't see how it will work in one. Eclipse can be done in one movie, but I really hope it's longer than NM. Maybe a good two hours and forty-five minutes. (A girl can dream)

*sigh* Midnight Sun. It made me fall in love even more with Edward. I didn't even know that was possible. I love seeing how his mind works. I cannot wait until SM completes it!

I'm Team Jacob not because I want Bella to be with him, but because I like his character more than I like Edward, and if I were to choose a guy that's who I would choose.

And he doesn't “force himself” on her like he wants her sexually. He is desperate to save her life. He does not want her to become a vampire, he sees it worse than dying, so he's desperate for her to see she has another option, to live.

I'm tired of people making Jacob seem like he's a sexual assaulter, it's all about motive.

I do think Bella should be with Edward, she loves him a lot more, but he's not a bad seed.

Okay enough bashing the fans of Jacob! I like Jacob because of his character, not his abs, and NOT because Edward left her in New Moon. I use love Edward, but it was his controlling and manipulative behaviour in Eclipse that pissed me off so much that I started to like Jacob more.

Yes, I know, Edward did the things he did because he loved Bella and wanted to protect her. That's why in the end I know Bella and Edward belong together, there love is intense.

I am Team Jacob as in I love his character, and if I had to choose I'd choose Jacob as he is funny and allows her to do the reckless things. I don't think Bella and him belong together, he deserves someone to love him as much as she loves Edward.

But there is no need to diss the fans who like ALL the characters. We are not delusional because WE like Jacob more. I like Edward, but not nearly as much as I like Jacob.

I think as we are all true fans of the saga we should all get along and respect each other.

was a serious ball drop. What were they thinking?!!

I really like CW and New Moon, but there were some fundamental problems with
the film. They are all in the details too (read: A woman wouldn't have let
them happen). I have issues with paternalism. I hate the attempts to make
this a movie that will appeal to men. The men will come with the women –
they won't have a choice. I dragged my husband to see it twice, I'm sure
many other women did/will too. I just keep imagining a boardroom full of
suits focused on fight scenes and action. Grrr!

My issues with NM are as follows:

1. — You must never put Maybelline on the RPattz. Seriously, fire the
makeup person — he/she was overzealous.
Does this really need to be covered in white paint and red lipstick? I
think not.

Robert Pattinson is playing a vampire, not a ghost. I know they used makeup
in Twilight – but it was much more flattering. Also in certain scenes – it
almost looks as if he isn't made up at all (restaurant scene, kissing
scene, prom scene– his skin is a really warm color.) Insisting that he be
paler than Bella is a detail they should drop. Fast. If it's a choice
between the eye color changes and the pale skin — choose the eye color
changes — they're much more interesting!

2. — The contacts should be attractive, not distracting. Also — black
eyes when hungry (read – Laurent's scene and Edward in Volterra). This is
actually important! Why can't they comply?

3. — Also kisses are crucial. The Twilight kiss was epic — it was like
its own movie. People who think the E&B chemistry is missing from NM are
blaming R&K; but it's the camera angles and the male lens. Camera angles
are hiding the kisses behind shoulders, etc. Not good. The male
directorial lens deemphasized the importance of the kisses. Bad move. Women
*heart* kisses. Your audience is female– no matter how many fight scenes
you include. Are you listening, DS? Please don't ignore the details!

4. — You can make a longer movie if it means more Edward Cullen — these
are words to live by — stop shorting us!!!

I wonder if they use focus groups in post-production. I seriously think
they should consult us. Also, their focus groups should not be comprised
solely of tweens who aren't able to articulate what does and doesn't work in
these films. (Don't get me wrong, I love the tweens — they do the hard
work of standing outside screaming and showing Summit how much support there
is for the Saga. This function should not be underestimated.) However, they
need to look at the numbers and acknowledge that they have a huge adult
following (read Midnight Showings – 80% female -50% of females above the age
of 21) and adjust accordingly. A focus group made up of educated adult
female fans would be helpful. I hereby offer my consulting services, DS and
Summit!

All of these details are crucial to getting it right.

Hahahaha, actually, I agreed with you. That part of Eclipse is like walking sex!! Okay, I admit I was a little confused, but I still love that part of the book. I always get goosebumps there. And of course when he says “Shut your window if you want me to stay away tonight. I'll understand.” She runs up to her room, and slams the window down, sighs, and then reopens it as wide as it'll go.

I hope it'll be there, but you're probably right. Gah, the album scene! Stupid MR! I commented about that in my new moon review. I didn't see the point of them showing Edward looking through her stuff, if they don't show that she found out he took it.

That's why I have a feeling it was shot but edited out for time. I'm not keeping my hopes up though. Lol. That's funny how we like these two scenes in these books that rarely no one talks about.

When he says to shut the window, it was like old sensitive Edward coming back to roar his sparkly head lol. I wish he would've left in a huff but he would not have been Edward if he did. I hope they fight more in the film lol.
