MTV’s Hollywood Crush has put together their list of fashion hits and misses from the 82nd Annual Academy Awards. Both Eclipse co-stars Anna Kendrick and Kristen Stewart were hits -
We weren’t as surprised by our love for Anna Kendrick‘s romantic Elie Saab gown though. Anna has always been one of our red carpet favorites and the Oscars were no different. We loved the color of the dress, the draping, slit and of course makeup.
Anna’s “New Moon” co-star Kristen Stewart also wore a dark color, midnight blue, and while we haven’t always loved Kristen’s style, we couldn’t stop gushing over her fabulous Oscars look. The black strapless Monique Lhuillier dress looked great on Kristen and we thought the decision to go with a classic up-do was totally on point. Our one gripe? We would have loved to see more bling. But we won’t hold that against her, especially since she did such a good job of holding her posture for the pictures!
In regards to Kristen’s bling. Her ears are not pierced. Unless she wanted to wear clip ons, earrings were out of the question! She did have a very dainty bracelet on. I think the lack of jewelry kept Kristen true to who she is. Her look, in my opinion, was flawless.
Anna always looks smashing. She truly owns any red carpet she is on! Another flawless look.

I thought the dress looked well without all the bling jewellery, she isnt all about drawing attention to herself just for the sake of it, i thought she looked effortless…and beautiful

Agree. I think added bling would've aged her look, since the dress is soooo sophisticated by itself. She really pulled it off. She couldn't have looked more perfect for the big night. All my worries about her wearing a long dress were banished the moment I spied her on the RC:)

More bling on Kristen? I think she did wear the perfect amount bling. I love it when people don't over do the bling thing. Just some subtle jewelry is the best! brings out her beautiful dress!
I think they both deserved it. Kristen looks perfect the way she is. I wouldn't add or take away anything. Just PERFECT. And for Anna she looks beautiful, I think the dress was a perfect fit.

Exactly. Anna's look was so romantic. Kristen was just glammed up, Old Hollywood Vixen style. God, our women nailed it! Taylor was adorable, as usual.

A necklace would have just distracted from all of that milky white skin. Stewy was our own Snow White come to life – with just a hint of vixen thrown in.
I just watched Up In The Air yesterday and that girl nailed that role. I heard Mo'nique was amazing, but Anna should be so proud of what she accomplished in this movie. She looked the part last night. Like the star she is meant to be.

I haven't seen Up In The Air, but I'll try to watch it this week. I'm really curious to see her performance, it must be really good to be nominated for an Oscar. I'm looking forward to seeing Precious, too. This year was a tough competition. But yeah, Anna should be proud of herself just for being nominated. Well done, Anna.

I always disagree with fashion people anyway. I agree LMC. She doesn't need any more jewelry. She was beautiful, yet stayed true to herself.

In my not-so-humble opinion, it would detract from the overall beauty of the look. There were some people who had WAY to much bling going on… a prime example of what to stay away from!
I'm not sure why some people are saying she needed more jewellery, I think she was spot on with just the bracelet.

They both looked so amazing… I really love Kstew she is so ball-sie. I hate the frigging papparazzi, there needs to be some strict laws put enforce. I know I do not KNOW these famous people, but it scares me to see the Papp after them. It's insane, they are going to cause and accident or something
