The lovely Ashley Greene (aka Alice Cullen) is on the cover of the December issue of Maxim magazine. Ashley celebrated at the Maxim launch party for her December cover in New York City last night.

On landing her first major role in Twilight: “Oh, my God, I wanted this part so badly! I worked my butt off for it because I absolutely love Alice, my character. She’s sweet, sexy, and a killer! so when they told me I got it, I tried to play it all cool, you know, for about a minute. Because suddenly the Twilight blogs started picking it up, and then fans were there taking photos, and I’m on the news, and I was like, ‘What?’ And then I got really nervous.”

On the physical training for Eclipse: “Yeah, I get to fight in Eclipse. My trainer is teaching me MMA right now. So. Cool. But I feel if I was in a real fight, I’d get my ass kicked…We’re just now moving up to more advanced stuff, toward being able to actually kick somebody’s ass. The problem is, I know tae kwon do, so I’m used to just sort of tapping for points when you kick, but MMA is a full knock-them-to-the ground follow-through.”

On what’s next: “I want to hit up James Bond. That would be awesome.”

I can’t wait to see the fighting scenes with the newborns in Eclipse. I can definitely see Ashley as a Bond girl!

You know, I felt that same way. I really love the character of Alice and Ashley as an actress, but I thought the same thing with the acting.

I don't know if it was the delivery of the lines, the lines itself, or a combination of both. I went to see it again last night, and I thought the exact same thing that I thought both times before, and that really is too bad.

I hope that Eclipse proves to be better and that she's able to really show us the abilities that she has as an actress.

I have to disagree with you there, and I blame MR for writing that one in. None of the Cullens, not even Alice, would do such a non-human thing with so many witnesses. Yes, I know, a perfectly fit jock would look natural pulling that off. But Alice trying to look human? It just didn't work for me.

I check at least once a day for any updates. We really don't expect any news about Midnight Sun for quite a while. I suspect we will see at least one or two novels in the Host series before she even attempts to finish it. The last post on her site answers all the fans questions about Midnight Sun.

So, it's the December issue… I remember hearing that she was going to be in Maxim and couldn't find it on the stands, since it wasn't out yet. My husband is in Japan now and I send him packages – usually with some magazines he may find interesting. He hates my TL obsession so I'm trying to convert him based on the hotness of Ashley! I know, I'm shameless! I have to try something – he will be home for the Eclipse release and I can't have him holding me back! LOL!

I liked it because it was a glimpse of the very perky and enthusiastic Alice I like from the books. That characteristic has not been portrayed in the movies (either Twilight or New Moon) very much.

Whether it was accurately written or not is inconsequential. I'm not a fan of MR and think she just got by with the skin of her teeth on New Moon. Luckily, CW and the cast were there to make it better – perfect, no – but definitely better than the original script.

Ultimately, I don't care – I still liked the scene. It was cute, charming, and funny.

True – it does show the perky Alice that we all love – I could totally see her doing that from the Cullen's house. And don't get me wrong – I loved the movie! I saw it for the 3rd time today : )

I agree and disagree.. I liked her at every point EXCEPT between the time she sees Edward going to the Volturi and they leave Italy. After that, I had no problem at all. Even if it was just for the vote scene lol.

OME i take back all the horrible things i said about KStew. I hated her in twilght and i hate the movie. But i just saw NewMoon…and…im speechless. She was amazing! Everybody was amazing. She was soooo much better and sooo much more prettier and everything. My greatest apologies to Kristen Stewert, she really was amazing in NewMoon, and i only hope the best from her and the cast in Eclipse.
