Ashley signed my “Support Movie Captioning” shirt because I told her that I am petitioning to get theaters to offer Rear Window Captioning for hard-of-hearing/deaf moviegoers. Since I'm hearing-impaired, I know how much the deaf community would greatly benefit from being able to enjoy captions while watching their favorite films.
Rear Window captioning is a device that is set up in a certain number of theater seats that allow the viewer sitting in front of it, to read a screen that provides the captions. For more information on Rear Window Captioning, please visit: http://ncam.wgbh.org/mopix/
Ashley's brother, Joe Greene has informed Ashley of this petition and she mentioned that when I met her so I was ecstatic that she's aware of it and supports it as well.
