Peter Facinelli (aka Dr. Carlisle Cullen) was at Shadow Lake Towne Center in Papillion, Nebraska on June 19th for a celebrity benefit event with part of the proceeds going to the American Red Cross Nashville Flood Relief. A few of our lucky readers and me, Jaypat, got to meet Peter!

Peter was wonderful! He was friendly and so considerate with everyone.

Peter said he was at a Alex’s Lemonade Stand benefit in Nashville, Tennessee right before the flooding occurred there. To give back to Nashville, he decided to do celebrity guest appearances with proceeds going to the American Red Cross Nashville Flood Relief. However, Omaha has also been affected by flooding lately. He joked about everywhere he goes he’s bringing the vampire weather with him. Peter said he would give part of the proceeds from today’s event to Omaha too! Such a great guy!

Back in January, I posted Peter on the cover of Prestige magazine with some photos. Peter retweeted that post on his twitter! I was so excited. When I went to the fan event, I brought a printout of the cover page.

I told him I was a blogger for eclipsemovie.org. He said he’s heard of the site. I told him he retweeted that post on twitter and then it got 165 retweets! It was awesome! He laughed and said he would sign the print out for me. I didn’t expect him to sign it, especially since it was a printout and so wrinkly. LOL! Love him!

I’m posting a video of Peter at the event answer a fan question, but I was so shaky. My nerves got the best of me. Sorry for the shaking! :(

Congrats Jaypat! This is really cool to hear that he knows this website. Every time I see him, I have that song Stuck in my head where a group of girls put together a song about Peter to the tune of papperazzi by Lady Gaga. I think someone even posted it on this site and was the coolest video ever put together of him. I love Peter, he seems down to earth and knows how to handle this fame!

He was Awesome! When I approached him I was laughing because I was nervous and he just smiled hehe. I was in shock and did not know what to say. The great thing I did notice about him was that he smelt AMAZING!!! He looked mighty fine and Im so glad I had the chance to meet him.

Awesome! I was there, too. Heard about the event via Twitter and decided on a whim to load up two of my 3 daughters and drive 4 hours to Omaha from eastern Iowa. He was wonderful! Hugged me, my kids, talked to them, and seemed truly appreciative of our effort. I'd do it again in a heartbeat! Stayed about 2 hours, all told, and got lots of pics (but was near the front of the line when I heard him get on the mic before he took a brief break. Nerves also got the best of me as he WALKED RIGHT PAST US en route to the break area! So no close-ups of that. Gaaaahhh! Oh well! Thanks for the video! Still reeling from my encounter. *swoon!*

I wish I had known who you were, I would have said hi…I enjoy all of your web postings…He was so nice…I asked him if he was going to make it to a UCLA game while he was in town, he told me that this was his last stop before heading home for Father's Day….what a great family man!
