In a new interview with FearNet.com, Eclipse Vampire Ashley Greene (aka Alice Cullen) talks about seeing pieces of Eclipse, her character Alice Cullen, and working with  Taylor Lautner on the set of New Moon -

Have you been given the chance to see any part of Eclipse yet?

I just did ADR a couple of days ago, actually, so I got to see some of the film. I was with [director] David Slade, and when I was doing ADR, I of course asked if I could see the whole scene played out so I could see something! It looks so good. I’m so excited.

You got to tear off a vampire’s head in Twilight and face off with the Volturi in New Moon. What can you tell us about the things you get to do in Eclipse, which we know from the book will have more of a fighting element?

The thing I’ll say about Twilight is, one, it’s given me this Hollywood crash course and I’ve been able to work with three great directors. And also, my character is an incredible character to break out with because she’s perky and happy and sweet, and she’s this best friend character that everybody loves, so it’s an amazing first character to have. Throughout the series you’ve gotten to see her go from really sweet to kind of sassy, and now in the third one we get to showcase this massive fight sequence that I’m a part of, so we got to get our action star fix. You get to see Alice get kind of down and dirty and see a really intense side of her that maybe you haven’t seen before.

In New Moon your scenes with Taylor seemed to have more of a snap, perhaps because you’d gotten to know each other better after Twilight and could riff of each other more, and also because your characters would love to rip each other’s head off in their scenes together. Do we get to see more of that banter and repartee with Taylor in Eclipse?

Those scenes are really fun to film! You know, they always say that the nicest people can play the meanest characters. I remember someone saying in an interview that Rachel McAdams was the sweetest girl, and she played this awful, mean character in Mean Girls. I think it’s the same thing with Taylor. He’s so sweet, I can look at him and be mean to him onscreen or have a fight with him and know that he’s not going to take it personally, so we definitely got to play off each other a little bit.

“I will never say never,” the 23-year-old actress told MTV News at South by Southwest while promoting her upcoming indie “Skateland.” “I will say, at this moment, nudity in a film is something that does turn me off because of the context that it’s put in in most of the films. It exploits women, and it’s not artistic at all.”

That’s not to say the “Twilight” star is afraid of showing off a little skin. In January, she shot a series of SoBe Lifewater ads wearing only a painted-on bikini as she posed in the water and on the beach.

While Greene currently has no interest in appearing on camera in the buff, she admits that if the right part came along, she’d have to consider going nude. “I won’t say that, down the years, if I find a character and it’s absolutely necessary and it tells a story, I wouldn’t nix it because of that,” she said.

So what does Greene look for in a role? How is she trying to shape her career now that the “Twilight” franchise has made her a well-known Hollywood player? “It’s a very different world for me to be thrown into, being able to pick roles and say, ‘Is that good for me?’ ” she explained. “What we’re trying to do is build longevity and to showcase what I can do. It’s a little frightening, but it’s a lot of fun to be able to pick and choose. My biggest criteria is to be able to read a script and really care about the characters and be affected by them and want to know what they’re doing and what happens to them next.”

You’re right Ashley – never say never. Because you never know what role just may come your way!

It’s bound to become a topic sooner or later.  With the Twilight castmembers involved in so many wonderful individual non-Twilight projects, Ashley Green has ‘Apparition’ & ‘Skateland’ in the works, Taylor Lautner has ‘Valentine’s Day’ & ’Stretch Armstrong’.  Not to mention Kristen Stewart’s many projects including ‘The Yellow Handkerchief’, and Robert Pattinson’s ‘Remember Me & the upcoming film ‘Bel Ami’, one has to wonder what will happen post-Twilight?

It’s no secret that we’ve become pretty attached to the Twilight bunch. And as much as it aches us to see them take on other roles and kiss other people, we have to start letting go! (Even with a likely three films left, still.)

Robert Pattinson is already ahead of the pack with Remember Me this weekend, Kristen Stewart stars in The Runaways, opening next week (with New Moon vamp Dakota Fanning). And our girl Anna Kendrick even got a an Oscar nom!

Frankly this is not a topic that I even feel comfortable discussing, but what will life be like after Twilight?  While I fully intend to continue supporting all the actors in all of their individual projects, I will continue to keep the saga alive.  What will you  all do when all the movies are completed, and perhaps Midnight Sun is complete?
