A TwiCrack reader emailed a translation of a recent Argentinian article. In this article they claim -

“According to the information handled by the portal, Argentinian actress will participate in a film from director David Slade.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s manager is a close friend of Michael Bublé and was the one who managed the reunion between the director and the actress.
It was predictable that she was going to break ground on the outside, due to her confirmed affair with Canadian singer Michael Bublé.
Is that the boy has a lot of press in the northern countries and is slowly becoming a figure of influence within the genre. He also has many contacts that helped Luisana to take a few steps in the Hollywood film.
So much so that Luisana is confirmed that will participate in a film by the British filmmaker David Slade, who has just convened her for his next film.
It should be noted that Slade is working in the U.S. on the third film of the Twilight saga “Eclipse”, due to 2010.
Leonardo DiCaprio’s manager, who is a close friend of Bublé, was the one who arranged the meeting between Slade and Luisana.
Luisana will have one last date with David to discuss the details of his character, Tanya, a vampire from the Denali clan.”

Interesting. Can’t wait to get confirmation! She’s definitely hot. Maybe a bit too hot? I always imagined Tanya as being attractive. Like a movie star, just not the type of movie that involves really high heels and props… Google ‘Luisana’ ..

UPDATE: Rumor Control: Luisana will NOT be in Eclipse! Due to the fact that Tanya Denali isn’t in Eclipse (not a shocker there, but hey Melissa Rosenberg does give her own ‘take’ on things). Is she in Breaking Dawn? No clue. Summit officials have said that Luiana is not in Eclipse, the article is a complete fabrication. You can check it out at TwiCrack!

Leah Clearwater and Seth Clearwater have been cast for the third film in the Twilight Saga, Eclipse.

Julia Jones will take on the role of Leah Clearwater, and BooBoo Stewart will fill the role of Seth Clearwater.

Maria, who tries to create an army of newborn vampires in Eclipse, has just been cast and the role goes to actress Catalina Sandino Moreno.

This according to the RiskyBusuinessBlog, which has been spot-on with earlier breaking stories.

The Colombian-born Sandino Moreno most notably starred in “Grace,” in which she played a pregnant teacher who becomes a drug mule, as well as Steven Soderbergh’s epic “Che” and the upcoming indie drama “Frail,” in which she plays the title character, who’s described as a naive Midwestern girl.

A new member of the third film in the Twilight Saga, Eclipse has been cast.

Royce King II will be played by Jack Huston, who was recently in the movie Outlander.

Royce King II is a human that lived during the great depression and was once engaged to Rosalie Hale before being killed by her.

Huston is the grandson of director John Huston and nephew of actors Angelica and Danny Huston, and is set to appear in ABC’s Eastwick soon.

Variety is reporting that Jodelle Ferland will be joining the cast of Eclipse. She has previously played roles in Silent Hill and Tideland–

Thesp Jodelle Ferland (“Silent Hill”) is the latest addition to the “Twilight” franchise, joining “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” as a vampire who has just been turned.

Ferland was most recently seen in the CBS telepic “Pictures of Hollis Woods.” She can be seen next in the thriller “Case 39″ with Renee Zellweger.

Given her age and looks, I’m going to assume that she’s been cast for the role of Bree, who is described in the casting notes as–

Bree: 14-17, beautiful, 5′1″ – 5′3″, short dark hair, fair skin. Has a high pitched shrill scream. She is one of the newborn army who ravaged Seattle, killing many with her fellows under the guise of a serial killer.

Rachelle LeFevre has issued an official statement about the recasting of Victoria to Bryce Dallas Howard. It seems that Summit was not willing to allow for the 10-day overlap with the filming of Barney’s Version.

In the release, she says–

“I was stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria for ‘Eclipse,’”

“I was fully committed to the ‘Twilight’ saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria,” Rachelle continued, explaining the turn of events that led to the casting change. “I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. My commitment to ‘Barney’s Version’ is only ten days. Summit picked up my option for ‘Eclipse.’ Although the production schedule for ‘Eclipse’ is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those ten days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for ‘Eclipse,’ never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10 day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part.”

“I am greatly saddened that I will not get to complete my portrayal of Victoria for the ‘Twilight’ audience. This is a story, a theatrical journey and a character that I truly love and about which I am very passionate. I will be forever grateful to the fan support and loyalty I’ve received since being cast for this role, and I am hurt deeply by Summit’s surprising decision to move on without me. I wish the cast and crew of ‘Eclipse’ only the very best,” she said.

Actress Rachelle Lefevre Will Be Replaced By Howard In The Role Of Victoria

Los Angeles – July 28, 2009 – Summit Entertainment announced today that Bryce Dallas Howard will take over the role of “Victoria” in the studio’s upcoming production of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. Actress, Rachelle Lefevre, who portrayed the character in TWILIGHT as well as the upcoming release of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, will not continue in the role due to scheduling conflicts with another commitment the actor has made. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE will start filming in Vancouver this coming August.

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, the third film in the studio’s TWILIGHT film franchise based on Stephenie Meyer’s blockbuster book series, will be directed by David Slade from a screenplay written by Melissa Rosenberg. The film will be released theatrically in North America on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.

“We are incredibly happy that Bryce has agreed to come into the franchise,” said Erik Feig, Summit’s President of Worldwide Production and Acquisitions. “Rachelle brought “Victoria” to great screen life and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character. The franchise is lucky to have such a talented actress as Bryce coming in to fill the role.”

Howard most recently starred in TERMINATOR SALVATION as Kate Connor and has been seen in SPIDER-MAN 3, LADY IN THE WATER, and THE VILLAGE. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for her leading performance as an actress in the HBO film AS YOU LIKE IT.

Why did Rachelle LeFevre leave, you ask? The Hollywood Reporter shows this project in her future:

Rosamund Pike, Minnie Driver and Rachelle Lefevre are playing Paul Giamatti’s many wives in “Barney’s Version,” the adaptation of the Mordecai Richler novel being directed by Richard Lewis. Robert Lantos is producing via his Serendipity Point Films.”Barney’s” tells the story of the politically incorrect, fully lived life of the impulsive, irascible and fearlessly blunt Barney Panofsky (Giamatti).

Lefevre will play Clara, Barney’s first wife, a wild, troubled artist. Driver plays Barney’s second wife, the annoyingly loquacious Mrs. “P.” Miriam, Barney’s third wife and true love, will be played by Pike.

Principal photography starts Aug. 17 in Rome. Dustin Hoffman also is in the cast, playing Barney’s father.

The casting of Riley for Eclipse has been confirmed by the reliable RiskyBizBlog, and it comes out of left field.

Newcomer Xavier Samuel from Australia will take on the role of Riley in Eclipse–

Samuel, repped by Management 360, Gersh and Shanahan in Australia, has been in series of films down under, including “Newcastle,” in which he played a Goth teenager amidst a group of surfers (the movie played Tribeca last year — though you can bet Netflix will see just a small spike now), the Aussie period drama “September” and the upcoming sci-fi thriller “Road Train.” This marks his first U.S. role.

What’s the verdict? Do you think he will make a good Riley?

Summit is holding an official open casting call for the roles of Seth and Leah Clearwater. Both are important roles for members of the Quileute Indians in Eclipse. To participate, you must fit the general age range and description of the character, and then record your scene using Actorcast software.
