By now I’m sure you know the drill… MTV announces voting and the twihards come out in force to make sure that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart get Best Kiss and as many awards for the latest Twi-Film. This year its Eclipse that is up for many awards!

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s did-they-didn’t-they MTV Movie Awards kiss last year may have ranked among our favorite MTV memories of Rob, but if you ask me, the “Twilight” twosome could do it better. (Exhibit A: Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams’ acrobatic acceptance speech, which still gets me hot and bothered.) Will the third time be the charm for Robsten? Help us find out by nominating them for a Best Kiss golden popcorn at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards!

Yep, it’s that time of year again! Voting begins today in 13 categories, including Best Movie, Best Fight, Best Badass Star and the brand-new Best Line From A Movie (“Release the Kraken.” “I’m 6’5″, 220 pounds and there are two of me.”)

Browse all the nomination categories and cast your vote at MovieAwards.MTV.com. Voting is open now until Tuesday, April 5. The victors will proceed to the final round of voting, which takes place May 3 through June 4. And, of course, the winners will be announced at the 20th annual Movie Awards, airing live on Sunday, June 5 at 9 p.m. ET.

So here’s how things work:

The power of the Golden Popcorn is once again yours! Starting today, we’re asking you to cast your votes and select the nominees for the 2011 MTV Movie Awards in 13 categories ranging from the familiar (Best Movie, Best Kiss) to the brand-new (Best Line from a Movie).

Can “Eclipse” reprise the success of “Twilight” (seven nods) and “New Moon” (five nods) before it? Will Biggest Badass star go to Robert Downey Jr.’s sardonic, super-suited hero in “Iron Man 2,” to Angelina Jolie for her acrobatic brawling in “Salt,” or someone else entirely? Which star’s unforgettable line — Liam Neeson’s plea to release the Kraken? Justin Timberlake’s insistence that only a billion dollars is truly cool? — will be the first to take home this award? For a third-straight year, it’s up to you!

Here’s how it’ll work: Starting Tuesday (March 22) and running through April 5, you can log onto MovieAwards.MTV.com to nominate your favorite movies, stars and crazy cinematic moments. Once the final nominees are announced, head back to the site to vote for the winners from May 3 through June 4. Voting for Best Movie, however, will remain open throughout the live ceremony on June 5 — meaning you’ll have a chance to affect the night’s biggest prize until the very last minute.

“MTV’s viewers are die-hard film buffs, and we love to see how they wield that dedication when voting for the MTV Movie Awards,” said Stephen Friedman, general manager of MTV. “This year’s show will once again reward movie buffs with previews of the year’s most anticipated movies and one-of-a-kind moments that become pop-culture history.”

The 20th Annual MTV Movie Awards will air live on Sunday, June 5, at 9 p.m. ET from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

So go… run… vote! and this year we may get an actual kiss!

*Rumour Alert* I thought I’d put that out there before we proceed….

So rumour has it that Robert Pattinson is teaming up with David Slade for a role in his new movie Daredevil!

Robert Pattinson As Daredevil Rumors Surface; Said To Be Similar In Tone To Batman Begins!

Apparently, there’s some “talk” that the Twilight actor is being looked at to reteam with David Slade on Daredevil, while new details on the tone and story have also emerged…

“The West Hollywood Resnorter” over at Moviehole has a very interesting piece up about David Slade’s planned Daredevil movie (said to be a continuation, rather than a reboot) but two things in particular caught my eye.. The first, is the revelation that the movie will be similar in tone to Batman Begins, while the mention of a bad guy trying to destroy Daredevil certaintly fits in with the rumor that they’re thinking of basing it on Frank Miller’s “Born Again” series.

Slade’s pitch, I’m told, is said to be a “close cousin” of some of the other superhero movies out there in the market place (I believe he’s referring to films like “Thor” and “Captain America” which are bright, boisterous blockbuster types that skip on the gloom and go straight to the boom!) – which shouldn’t surprise anyone. “It’s a bit Batman Begins. The bad guy will learn who Daredevil really is and tries to destroy him – but not via the usual methods.”

Second, was the mention of there being “talk” about Twilight’s Robert Pattinson being linked to the role. Seeing as he’s worked with Slade before and is rather popular with a certain demographic, it’s not hard to believe that he’d be considered (and there is something of a resemblence) but as we’re talking about the guy who directed 30 Days Of Night and a character like Matt Murdock, I don’t see it happenning!

And yes, with David Slade given the job, there’s “some kind of talk” about Robert Pattinson – who, with the “Twilight” series winding up, is going to be looking for a new well-paying gig – playing the part of Matt Murdock – – -which, I have to say, I don’t dislike the idea of.

So what did you all think of this year’s PCA’s? And how cute were all 3 castmates! I wish they all could’ve been present. Heck I wish we saw more of Tay, Stewy, and Rob!

Director David Slade was interviewed at the Vancouver International Film Festival by Starlight Casino and he said some great things about Robert Pattinson, Edward Cullen and Eclipse (starts around the 1.20 mark)
