yeah i am new here(*shakes hand back:)) before I started commenting I would lurk around LOL and just die laughing at you all cause you all are so funny I would sit here just almost wet my pants:) LOL I discovered Twilight when I had just gotton thru with the HP series and I was having a withdrawl syndrome LOL and i was desperate to read anything I did start reading(at the time) a different vamp series which is good anyway I was walking thru Target and I was looking around and I discovered this book with 2 white arms holding an apple so I picked it up looked at the Twilight oh well what is this so I got real courious and picked up the book looked at it and read what it was about andthen bought that Twilight Eclipse and NM all at the sametime(before BD) and the second I started the first sentence I knew right then that book was going to be hit:) then found out that it was going to be a movie so I thought oh cool at the time I did not know who Rob was*runs and hides* LOL I have seen goblet of fire but I only him as Cedric anyway back to Twilight I really started to get very attracted to Edward and when the movie came out and on the day it opened I thought OMG what if this guy IS 17 the actor that is LOL and when Rob strutted across that cafeteria my body shut down to nothing:) and the rest is history and here I am:)

wow that's great! same happen to me when i finish reading twilight.. i started reading this other series.. which are great too.. but nothing like edward *sigh* well i have to admit that *hangs face in shame* i started reading twilight AFTER watching the movie.. it was really funny becuase my boyfriend's cousin got me into watching that movie.. he was like “it reminds me of me & my girl” i was like okay..?? cuz i really wouldnt have watch it if it wasn't for him.. and then i got hooked! and omg i have never ever! been as obsessed with something as i am w/ the twilight saga.. is just amazing! and yeah robert is really hot… but i'm more into taylor cuz we are about the same age! well he's older than me actually i'm 17 and he is going to be 18 & all you know! LOL but about edward and jacob? i can't decide! that's why i'm team swizz.. i'll take whatever i can! LOL

oh thank you very much it is really nice to meet you too Twilight( I was telling someone else this story) for me was something that just fell on my lap so to speak:) I had just completed the last HP book and I was desperate to find something to read and I was in Target one day and I was looking around andI saw this book with a pic of 2 arms holding a red apple and I thought hmhmm courious I picked it up looked at it and stood there reading what it was about and I thought okay I will get it and I bought Eclipse and NM as well all on the same day took all of them home and thesecond I read the first paragraph I knew that this book was specail:) and I really became very attracted to Edward and then when I found out there was going to be a movie I thought oh my god what if this guy is 17?! LOL so I thought okay just see it and that's it well the second Rob strutted across that screen suddenly everything just shut down LOL and when Bella asks who is he I said out loud a GOD I did not expect to say that LOL it just happend LOL:)

Well my Twilight indoctrination was when I rented this movie called Penelope and they should a teaser trailer of Twilight which eventually came out 7 months after I had read the series. They did an interview of SM and she reminded me of a young Anne Rice who I adore. I had gotten out of reading do to a failed marriage and going back to school at the age of 30 ( yes I don't mind telling my age than). She showed so much exuberance for these characters that I immediately went to Books-A-Million and bought Twilight and Midnight in the Garden of good and Evil. When I read the book in ignited feelings that I hadn't felt since high school which was 16yrs ago. I am like you I am Team Edward when it comes to the book. Don't get me wrong Rob is very handsome but actor wise I think Jackson Rathbone is the cats meow. I am an artist and Jackson has that artsy quality about him that I just can't resist. I read all the books within a week which was outstanding for me since I hadn't read leisurely in so long and went to the midnight show of Twilight. Although I am not a fan of MR I still go to see the movies nonetheless. I have read the Saga 5 times and read The Host 3 times. I am hooked on SM and can't wait for her to write more. I think everyone's dream man is Edward because he is a gentleman and he knows how to erupt feelings in you that you thought were long dead. So that's my story.

I also have read all of Anne Rice's books on her vampire saga and the way she decribed Lestat is a far cry from Edward that is for sure this charater is kind of arrogantand thinks he is the best at everything and I loved her books of The Witching Hour and Lasher I know there is a 3rd book of the Witching Hour series but I don't remember the name of it and wow what a story:) yeah Jacks is a very talented guy that is for sure he is an artist and very good at acting he was a guest star on Criminal Minds?(I think it was) and he really showed what he can do and i hope he(next year) gets an Emmy nod for his guest appearance I saw part of a sence on U-TUBE and I loved his performance he definitly did an outstanding job:)

OHMYGOD. i thought i was the only one who thought that! i think your honestly right. the face shape, eyebrows, thin nose, chin. it all matches up. they could very well be mother and daughter. HOWEVER, dakota plays the fifteen year old cherrie, her face was bound to be more rounder and child-like, and dimpled. so in that case, dakota fits the bill. riley on the other hand plays her faternal twin, marie currie. so they are pretty much 'related' onscreen.

I have read all of the chronicles by Anne Rice which I think my favorite is Lestat. True Lestat tends to be arrogant but when you read The vampire Lestat you understand why he had a hard life and he didn't even have a choice. I love the Witching Hour and Lasher I think the book your thinking of is Memnoch the Devil. I am currently reading her newest creation its calle Angel Time. It is getting rather good but its been so long since I have read her work I forgot it takes a while to get into the meat of the novel. I love Jacks and haven't seen that show or episode but I heard he did a good job in it. I saw him in concert in Nov. in Nashville with his band 100 monkeys and they were so good. They are kinda bluesy funk sound that is so infectious.

oh yeah definitly Lestat did have a hard life and did not have a choice in becoming a vampire and Memnoch is the one where Lestat challenges the devil I want to get Angel Time I have read that the critics really like this one so I will get it and read it you are so lucky to have seen 100 monkeys I hope they come to the Bay Area at some point I thought they were but I was wrong I love that kind of music I also love classic rock and easy listening music I also collect soundtracks of different/broadway shows I have the(movie) soundtrack of RENT as example and Chicago Grease etc and also last but certainly not least New Moon both score and movie soundtrack:)

Sorry I had to reply here. I love True Blood (we might get lynched for saying that) but after reading the Saga I was thirsty for more vampyric novels so I started reading the Sookie Stackhouse novels or the Dead novels as it were than I saw both seasons of True Blood and although I think Alan Ball (The creator of the show) is very talented he did take liberties with the scripts. I do love the show though it does follow the general flow of the novels. I do love the music they choose for the shows. You're right the music usually follows the creole or cajun influence. Which character do you like. I am a fan of Eric ( Alexander Skarsgard) if you have read the books you will know why. I have enjoyed talking with you maybe if you like we can exchange e-mail addresses.

You're right Memnoch was part of the chronicles I think I am thinking of let me see it starts with a B Blackwood Farm I think it has been a really long time so I may be wrong. So you live in the Bay area I have a aunt who lived in LA for over 40 yrs but she moved back to TN that is where I reside at the moment. I was lucky that 100 monkeys came to Nashville I hope thay come to your area they are really talented. I usually like alternative, adult-alternative, punk, blues, rock, and classic rock. I also enjoy classical music. My grandmother enjoyed old movies so I watched them with her and most of them were musicals. I have seen several musicals and plays during my childhood one of my favs is Chicago. I don't lile Rent though. I absolutely loved the New Moon Soundtrack but I haven't listened to the score though. I won a signed copy of the soundtrack from the lead singer of Hurricane Bells which was cool seeing how I have never won anything in my life.

yeah as a matter it was Blackwood Farms:) and you say your grandmother loved classic movies my favorite(and I do mean ultimate favorite) is the movie:To Kill A Mockingbird the book is written by Harper Lee and it is brilliant the movie is outstanding and I have read the book and I love it I see the movie once in a while on one of the movie channels and words could not describe how brilliant this movie is it takes place in the south and it is in the 1930's and it deals with a black man being accused of raping a white girl the acting in this movie is excellent:) I would highly recomend that you read the book then see the movie and let me know what you thought of both?

I have read To Kill a Mockingbird and have seen the film. Gregory peck was outstanding in the movie and I especially love the last part of the film when I forget his name tells scout to stand up and give the respect her father Atticus deserves in the courtroom. Of course Gregory Peck can't do wrong. I would have to say one of my favorite classic films is Citizen Kane. I also love Alfred Hitchcock and love To catch a thief and Charade. I love when TCM has 31 days of Oscar during the month of the oscars they always show the creme de la creme of the celluloid vision.

i think the charater was the priest that told Scout to give the respect her father Atticus deserves I named my cat Atticus:) oh Alfred Hitchcock he was the master of horror and thrillers I loved Psycho:) and The Birds two of my favorites:)

I like Psycho to. The Birds was okay I just didn't like Melanie Griffith's mother in it. She wasn't much of an actress. Beautiful but not much of an actress.

yeah Janet Leigh did'nt really get to act much in Psycho maybe like(if I am guessing correctly) first 20 or so minutes but that is really it and as for Melanie mom yeah her performance was not excatly oscar materail In the Birds LOL:)
