When you put your heart and soul into something as intense as the duration of a film production, you become completely lost in it. You focus on doing your very best to get it right each day and you work on this for so long that you assume an ownership of it.

When shooting The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, I always felt an awareness of how many people this film would reach and as a result, knew that this film did not just belong to myself, the producers and the studio, but more so, to all of you, the fans of The Twilight Saga.

At the end of the day, after all the hard work is done, all that’s left is the film itself, and your overwhelmingly positive and supportive responses have made me feel like we must have done something right. As a filmmaker, this is a rare and strange feeling of connection with an audience of which I will never forget and I thank you all for it.

David — I think I can speak for all Twilight Saga fans when I say you are the greatest thing since sliced bread!! You brought one the best books from the Twilight Saga to life, and you did it justice. So THANK YOU for listening to us, and putting everything into it.

The cast looked so relaxed in their roles and you def got the best from them, super directing! The feel of the film was sooooo good, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and forgot all about my drink & sweets LOL that has never been known before!!!!

Wish you could have directed BD as well <3

Yes it truly is. It’s amazing how this saga has united so many people from all over the world. I think if Stephenie Meyer knew that she would feel proud. hahah Not it’s not just a book-i–it’s hard to put into words, but we are fiercely protective of our saga. That’s why we get upset when things are changed in it on the screen. hahaha It’s like a part of us.I liked the Eclipse soundtrack-most of it, but the score didn’t really move me. It was better than NM score,but I’m just Carter Burwell all the way. hahahaha I liked a few on the NM soundtrack,too,but Twilight—I loved em all. hahaha In Eclipse I loved My Love and Love is Forever, and Heavy in your Arms and most of them. But those are my favs.Yeah, we do need something exceptional for BD, Hope we get it.haha I’ve lost count of how many times I watched Twilight. I saw it 5 times in the theater, but I’ve watched it so many times on DVD. haha I saw NM once–I still need to get it. Eclipse I’ve seen once,but hope to be ablre to go back several times and I will definitely have that DVD. hahahaha This is great-sharing our thoughts. Hugs!

I have so much to say about new moon but generally I liked the movie, not as much as twilight or eclipse, but it was a nice experience too…and I do like CW but something didn't work so good in new moon. Maybe the script wasn't that strong (definitely), so he couldn't do many things to improve it and you're so right about the editing department. I think they did well they rehired the first twilight's editor for eclipse…New moon needed a stronger editing…anyway…this is past. We're looking forward now…to the breaking dawnnnn!!! )

ahhhh leg hitch…why couldn't it be slower? I mean, everytime I watch it it goes so fast…I can't get enough of it..haha
Well, I've heard so many people saying about twilight's E/B connection, and I think I'm the only person that I find them great. I mean, I have read twilight (and is my favorite book out of 4). The book was wayyy better than the movie but I blame the script for that. In twilight, bella and edward were at their beginning, they get to know each other. It seems so natural and normal…They're in love but they just try to understand each other, to find some balance…and edward was so…controlled? I don't find the word…I mean, he tried to control hiself, his feelings and actions. So, it didn't seem so bad to me…

It's so strange to me, because there are moments in the movie, Twilight, that Rob and Stewy seem so much like the book characters. I really like when they are talking in the rain, the hospital scene when he kisses her forehead (very Edward), Bella washing her truck, prom. They were all great. I just think in the beginning, Edward came across as creepy. LOL Which, I did not mind. He is supposed to be distant, cool. It was just not consistent, but I still love that movie. There were traces in NM, as well, but this is the first one where we see Book Edward throughout. For me, at least.

Hey hon, I LOVE the Twilight movie and the E/B connection-it was so natural. Edward had so much self control in Twilght. Have you read Midnight Sun online? It's great,cause it explains how hard it was for him. It's Edward's POV. Twilight comes in an extremely close #1 for me. It and Eclipse are by far my favs. There are parts in each one that I adore.

WOO!! I finally saw Eclipse for the first time today, and I have to say, David Slade is my favorite director now. He made this movie frikkin' awesome!!!!!

awww, how can you not love this men???…I just know that I will forever love that guy for making eclipse the best one yet…yeah, I had a little doubts about him directing the movie, I was afraid that the movie will be too dark…but he proved me wrong and I*m glad he did!and now he is thanking US, when we are the ones who should be thanking him, so thank you David Slade, and I truly adore you and your work! just keep doing an amazing work!!!!

hey thanks! I try to be a more active part of this community..It's been a year I've been “here” watching everything – first in newmoonmovie.org..but I didn't post cause my english is not so good and I try to be simple so you can understand…
Anyway, twilight is unbeatable to me…even though eclipse was freaking awesome, twilight is always my first love. I haven't read Midnight Sun (just a few pages) because of the language. I'm gonna read it during summer, as I have more time, cause I want to understand everything, every emotion and thought of edward…Wish Stephenie could finish and publish it one day…

I think Rob did handle it in both movies..I didn't like him much in new moon…I think he didn't get into the movie so much because of his little part…I was super excited by his performance in Eclipse…Edward is growing into him. And of course, his personal relationship with Kristen – whatever kind of relationship it is – helps both of them to their performances…they act soooooo real…:))

Welcome to our community darlin'. Your English seems great hon. I understand you perfectly.It really is hard to beat Twilight. I even think the score and soundtrack are unbeatable. I wish they'd bring Carter Burwell back for the score in BD. But Twilight hooked me. hahahaha When I saw Edward walk into the cafeteria–I was hooked. LOL The E&B interaction was wonderful. If you can finish Midnight Sun you'll love it,I wish she had finished it,too . It explains so much of why Edward was weird in some scenes in Twilight,and gives his POV of Twilight. It's awesome.I guess I have Twilight and Eclipse up there close to the same mark. hahahahaha But I could watch Twilight over and over and over——and I do,LOLWhen Eclipse comes out on DVD–I'll be doing the same thing. I wasn't into New Moon that much. I didn't get the feeling in that one. But I want it as part of my collection. Ya gotta have it. It was good, but it just didn't give me what the other two did..

thanks hun! It's so nice to connect with people around the world and speak about it…Twilight is not just a book series or movie series. It's beyond that. It appeals to us in a unique way I cannot describe.
I definitely agree with you about the twilight soundtrack. Eclipse Soundtrack was good but I expected more. I love My love and Love is Forever. These are my favs. But not forgetting the Meadow theme from new moon soundtrack…I liked it so much..I love whatever has to do with piano. And liked Jacob's theme in New Moon too.
I need something exceptional for the BD soundtrack…something greater than the previous ones…we'll see
As for the movies, well I really don't remember how many times I've seen Twilight. About twenty? Umm yes…But new moon, well, maybe 10-12…and I feel the same like you..Just have it because it completes the saga..
