Jacob was close. Jacob had heard every word we'd said. Jacob was in agony. The howl choked off into a peculiar gurgled sob, and then it was quiet again. I did not hear his silent escape, but I could feel it- I could feel the absence I had wrongly assumed before, the empty space he left behind.
“Because your space heater has reached his limit, ” Edward answered quietly. “Truce over,” he added, so low I couldn't be sure that was really what he'd said.
“Jacob was listening,” I whispered. It wasn't a question.
“yes.”
“You knew.”
“Yes.”
I stared at nothing, seeing nothing.
“I never promised to fight fair,” he reminded me quietly. “And he deserves to know.”
My head fell into my hands.
“Are you angry eith me?” he asked.
“Not you,” I whispered. “I'm horrified at me.”

“I don't care. I can't just sit here.” I shrugged off Jacob;s parka, shoved my feet into my boots, and crawled stiffly to the door; my legs felt numb. “I have to- I have to…” I didn't know how to finish the sentence, didn't know what there was to do, but I unzipped the door anyway, and climbed out into the bright, icy morning.
There was less snow that I would have thought after the fury of last night's storm. Probably it had blown away rather than melted in the sun that now shone low southeast, glancing off the snow that lingered and stabbing at my unadjusted eyes. The air still had a bite to it, but it was dead calm and slowly becoming more seasonable as the sun rose higher.

It's another scene where bella imagines her life with Jake? Or it is the part where Jake heard Edward and Bella in the tent, about the engagement…. owh, slade, I start to like you more and more..
yeah after kissing the dog, she had to get the bad after taste by kissing Edward.

I always thought Jacob was the one playing dirty…he used Bella's emotions for him against her to get her to kiss him.
That was the defining moment for me that made me team edward all the way. Jacob pissed me off wih the toying of Bella's emotions to get his way. Ever since that part of the book I didn't really feel for his character anymore. It would have been different if he was innocent.

Ok, so i think its when Edward reads Seth's mind and realizes that Bella kissed Jacob!! That created more heartbreak for ME than anything else. I was more heartbroken when Edward had to find out about her kissing Jacob. Even if he was letting it slide and still torturing himself because he knew he created the situation by leaving in the first place. I know its the tent scene but, doesn't everyone's heart break during that scene?!
Oh, and off topic a bit, i want to say when she cries all night on Edward about Jacob and being a bad person and he asks her if she made the right decision… GOD, that was HEARTBREAKING to me.

yes it was heartbreaking. but the crying all night was not all about jacob she was also crying because she had said to herself that morning that she would never let edward see her shed another tear for jacob and here she was crying on his shirt. so now she starts crying over edward, thinking about the hurt she is causing him. my heart really broke for her and edward and for jake. however bella and edward did get their happy ending and that is the only thing that matters. so what ever heart break they went through was worth it.
This was the point where i said to myself… ” if i read the rest of this saga and they don't end up together i may KILL SOMEONE!” lol

could 'nt agree with you more. i love when bella quoted from wuthering heights. Edward is still doubtful. Bella then quotes from the book to make him understand that she loves him to the point where she cannot live without him. then she tells him “I have to be with you it's the only way i can Live.” Edward also quotes from the book as if he finally gets where shes coming from. Beautiful. I had a lump in my throat.
totally agree. and while i understand that some of the things he did were due to his immaturity and age. manipulating her when she was at her most vulnerable was way above and beyond. but what bothered me the most was that because of his selfishness in manipulating her to the point where she becomes weak and gives in to the kiss. she now has to deal with feeling guilty and disgusted with herself. because she felt it was a betrayal to edward. and what does he do he runs away to go and fight, leaving her alone to face edward.

OK, as for the snow and heartbreak- remember when Bella says that it was June 4 and graduation was a week away, and this is AFTER graduation? Yes, it still snows there in June. Pumpkins on the porch- it's killing me. If they want to pull down the house, could they be doing a couple of exterior scenes for BD for fall (pumpkins) winter (red awning) so they can just redo the inside of the house (remember they took Renesmee over at Christmas?) They could do that on a set, and just do exterior shots so they don't have to mess with the house any more and just have them on hand… That's all I can come up with. (Much hope involved…..)
