I am personally very excited about David Slade directing Eclipse, especially after what Rachelle said about it being darker but not horror; I think that keeping it ominous and dangerous is a very good vibe to carry throughout. BUT; Eclipse is also one of the funniest books, and I don't want that to get lost. So far Chris Weitz is my hero, and I'm looking forward to what Slade will produce and making a comparison.

OH.. Chris Weitz is MY favorite too!!!! Anyone with a good sense of humor automatically gets written down on my short “people I strongly respect and admire list* I know practically nothing about David Slade, even though he scares me just to look at him. I'm hoping for a long interview, kind of like the great one we got from CW a few days ago. I'm always very very interested in how ppl view things artistically and see characters, since everything gets filtered through one's imagination.. it's always interesting to see how people shape characters into something they can relate to..
