Well, I love the updates from David Slade. I think it's pretty smart actually. Crazed fans and paparazzi could make this a living nightmare for him, so he seems to be choosing to make love, not war with the "enemy clan". Anyone hear anything about the scene when Edward kidnaps Bella? This scene HAS to be in the movie. The proposal itself was in New Moon, but the lopsided agreement/ultimatum was in Eclipse and is one of my fave parts of the whole series. Anyone.....? Really hope he puts this scence in (in all of it's steamy glory!)

Wow I just felt embarrassed, I went to Barnes and Noble to buy my Calculus books. Instead, I ended up buying almost Twilight and NM merchandise they had. I bought the NM and Twilight calendar, Twilight Jigsaw Puzzle, and bookmarks. I was trying to look for the NM companion, but couldn't find it. The embarrassing part was that people kept staring at me all weird, like saying " What a Twi freak" lol. Even the cashier was like "WOAH"... I ended up blushing. But got to say Twilight is really addicting!!!! >.< There goes my $100 bucks lmao

Switzerland is a neutral European country and stays out of the conflicts that go on over there. People like to say that the country "doesn't pick sides."

Team Switz people here use the term Switzerland to mean the same idea...they don't pick a side to "team" with....they just like and root for them both.

The "Natural Path" part comes from the section in the book that leaves me in
absolute tears! It's in Eclipse, p. 599. Jake talks about it when he's
telling Bella that basically if things were as they should have been, no
monsters or magic in the world, that he would have been the natural path
that her life would have taken, not Edward.

p. 598--bottom:
"The worst part is knowing what would have been." (Jacob)
"What might have been," I sighed.
"No." Jacob shook his head. "I'm exactly right for you, Bella. It would have
been effortless for us--comfortable, easy as breathing. I was the natural
path your life would have taken..." He stared into space for a moment, and I
waited. "If the world was the way it was supposed to be, if there were no
monsters and no magic....."

Wow..that gets me every time. I figured if Bella didn't want him to be her
natural path, then he could be My Natural Path. ;o)

*sigh* he was her natural path...and that is an intense relationship when something would be easy as breathing....

There are just some posts or questions that people ask that just need to be
taken right from the book...explaining it just doensn't do the job. No doubt
he was her natural path, and she knew it as well. In the next paragraph
after the one I quoted she even said as much, knowing he was right, that in
that world he was her soul mate and they would have been happy together.

I see it that way as well...she was ready to "settle" for "Paris," though
still knowing she loved Edward beyond the shadow of a doubt. She would have
made things work with Jake, and yes, if Alice hadn't returned, then the

You know though, I'm honestly glad that Alice did return because Jacob
should never have someone just "settle" for him. He has too many loving and
endearing qualities for that..he needs someone that truly appreciates who he
is and what he has to offer...and that was not Bella.

Do you think after a period of time, though, that you can fall in love with a person and have it not be considered settling? I think that's possible.. that love can grow and deepen like that and be a true love that you didn't expect. Just curious what you thought. ;)

You know....that's a great point, and I do believe that "settling" can grow
into a deep and meaningful, loving relationship. Look at how marriages used
to be arranged, having the person already picked for you and you had no
choice. Many of them wound up as loving marriages. I also think about years
ago how widows used to marry for the sole purpose of having a provider for
herself and the kids---many of those turned into loving relationships as
well. I guess I was looking at it from the "present" time and not looking
too far into the future. I think she would have definitely grown to love
Jake deeper than she realized she already did, but I guess I will always
wonder if there's this small part of her that still would pine for Edward.

Ya know I never thought of it that way bc I wanted him 2 have who he
wanted some badly (Bella) but that's true he needed someone who was
going 2 not deal w the 2d option...

Hey...if you happen to see Rob&Kristen_Fan_Marie (Marie) or (RFM) around
these posts, drop a her a comment or two. She's wanting to venture out and
meet some great wolf gals, and she would absolutely love to hear from some.
She's great...has a super outlook on the wolves although she's a *gasp*
VAMP GIRL...and has that "soft spot" for Taycob. ;o) Very easy to talk to
and she'd be ecstatic if she heard from a wolf gal! :o)

I was just having a conversation with "I Love Alphas" the other day about
this...it was like we had talked about out everything else in the books and
under the sun, but somehow we forgot THIS! LOL

You know....frankly, I absolutely love the whole idea of imprinting and am
so happy that Jake found the one that was truly meant for him---complete
mutual feelings and the equal drawing of both into what will later become
the most wonderful, loving relationship for him. I don't see it as some
do...."it's a baby, for goodness sake...A BABY!" Well, yeah, technically she
is, BUT right now it is only the draw to want to protect her and provide
for her, do whatever he can....(If I had time I'd pull out my book and find
the part where he tells Bella all about the imprinting thing--LOL--but
getting ready to go to work). It's not sexual in any way...right now he is
just her protector and she knows that there's something about him too, but
she just sees it as him being there for her all the time.

To me, I find it downright romantic to know that the person you will
eventually wind up marrying has been with you from day one, making sure that
you were cared for, happy, protected...THEN when that day comes that it
"registers" for both that there is more, they will have the most wonderful,
loving relationship----the kind that Jacob deserves---someone that truly
loves him through and through, no questions asked. *sigh*

I'm lovin' it! I do understand why Rob fans are disappointed with the lack

That's really what irritates me is when people start blaming it on Taylor
and call him names because of the publicity he is getting with Kristen when

Yes...RFM is great. She and I just "clicked", and it cracks me up! You're
right...we are definitely okay with the teams, and even though I have
allegiance to Jacob, I'm not blind to the fact that Edward has a pull for
others as well. To me it's all about open-mindedness.

For me I fell in love with "book" Jacob first before I even saw the movie,
so when I saw that Taylor was portraying him, then in my mind that just made
Jacob even better....now I was able to put a face with what I pictured in my

The "Natural Path" part comes from the section in the book that leaves me in
absolute tears! It's in Eclipse, p. 599. Jake talks about it when he's
telling Bella that basically if things were as they should have been, no
monsters or magic in the world, that he would have been the natural path
that her life would have taken, not Edward.

p. 598--bottom:
"The worst part is knowing what would have been." (Jacob)
"What might have been," I sighed.
"No." Jacob shook his head. "I'm exactly right for you, Bella. It would have
been effortless for us--comfortable, easy as breathing. I was the natural
path your life would have taken..." He stared into space for a moment, and I
waited. "If the world was the way it was supposed to be, if there were no

Wow..that gets me every time. I figured if Bella didn't want him to be her

Yes, I DID get my tix...last week! It was by happen chance that I checked

post just out of the blue..that's what irritates many of us.

Posters are TOTALLY welcome to express opinions....not saying that at

I sense that Taylor is very serious about portraying Jacob accurately. Taylor has said this many times himself. He realizes that he was possibly going to be cast aside for this role so he's gonna work his a*s off.

Rob on the other hand appears, at times, almost embarrassed to be associated with it. As does Kristen occasionally too. Maybe I'm reading into it but I get the feeling that they think they're slightly above it all now...they're too indie, hip, or whatever you want to call it. I hope I'm wrong but the VMA's left a bad taste in my mouth.

i had the same feeling as well.. like his almost embarrassed with the role. like he thinks he will be stuck as the heart throb from twilight, and he doesnt want to be known as that... but then again he's shy and he doesnt know how to act infront of the media its something totaly new to him.. and everyone has their own way to deal with certain situations and i dont think he knows how to act, so he just bluts out the first thing that comes from his mouth. but i seriously have been feeling like that for long time, i thought i was reading into it too much.. some vamp girls on here went all crazy when i mentioned that on here. and i never mentioned it again..lol
but i do love rob plp dont get me wrong am glad he got the pat of edward, and am sure he takes his role seriously and he gives 150%.

I completely agree with your opinion on rob ! sometimes he seems sooo out of it all. like hes being dragged along by his golden locks without a clue whats goin But Tay & Kristen i think really appreciate the roles they have. Taylor because this is his first MAJOR role, and it could make or break his career, and Kristen because she not only knows how important the role is, but that if she were to fail her career could go down the drain.

yea, i love robs funny personality but like you said theres also times where he should be better at speaking to public and on tv shows about the series. i think that if rob had any idea how HUGE and how seriously career inducing this gig would be, he wouldnt have taken it on. cuz i mean, he admited to having a panic attack while at the premire of twilight, and lets be honest twilight wasnt even half as amped up as new moon & Eclipse are. cant say i blame him for that either tho, because this must be crazy pressure for him to be perfect.

It's the last book I'd want to have a TJ director filming. Jake is being a major douche in it, I don't want him to be anything other than that cause Slade may or may not have a disturbing crush on him.
Also seeing as Edward's back, we have to have balance, we don't need Slade pushing more Jake scenes unnecessarily.

I hope he gets the essence of E/B, if not the movie will suck hairy mountain lion balls...

Exactly. I've been talking about BALANCE the whole time here. If David wants us to enjoy the movie, then he needs to stick to the epitome of why Eclipse even began. It's because of EDWARD and BELLA. Jacob is just another character.

Why does he like Jacob so much? Or Taylor? He has like TwitPics of him, under his uber-professional camera. David has to prove himself in the next month.

A professional director should not let his preferences get in the way of properly conveying the story.
That's why I hope he's not like Hardwicke.

Wow! Surprise surprise...no news of Rob and you guys start to insult DS, Taylor, and his character Jacob.

Taylor-he is a rising star with a lot of potential (just as Rob was before Twilight). Why is it so hard to fathom that maybe, just maybe, these directors see that in him? That they may show a special interest in him because of that? I wholeheartedly love Taycob, but I would not be upset if Rob was being the one tweeted about. I'd simply peek over the fence and enjoy it.

As for Jacob,this is ALL I have to say. Jacob is NOT just another character. He is an integral part of the Saga. You don't have to take my word for it.SM said so herself. :)

Please don't take this the wrong way, but... I think you guys may be reading more into this than is really there.

I do not think that David Slade has a "disturbing crush" on Taylor. For all we know (and we REALLY DON'T KNOW), he could be trying to respect Rob's wishes to lay low and stay out of the spotlight for a little while. Maybe Rob's fans should do the same and respect him and leave him alone to do his job and live his life with a little bit of privacy for once.

OR...maybe Taylor is just friendlier and more open with Slade than Rob. Maybe Slade is just having fun with Taylor, and sharing that fun with us lucky fans!

I think we are lucky to be receiving any updates from the actual DIRECTOR! I mean, have you ever seen any other director do that? I haven't.
