The Official Score for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is now available! Have you listened to it yet?

To my ears, the Eclipse Score sounds more dynamic and mature than the scores for the previous movies in the Twilight Saga. There are some very lovely pieces such as “Bella’s Theme” and “First Kiss” alongside positively menacing tracks like “They’re Coming Here” and “The Battle”. It holds up well alongside Howard Shore’s other masterful works for movies like The Lord of the Rings and Eastern Promises. The Barnes & Noble review notes that–

Most of the score is powerful, even muscular, suggesting that a lot more than broken hearts might be at stake in this film. Shore signals danger through echoing guitars and galloping drums, most strikingly on “Riley” and “Victoria” with the drama and dread befitting a vampire on the warpath…..The most restrained yet majestic Twilight music yet, Shore’s Eclipse score brings a surprising amount of dignity to this pop culture phenomenon.

Love it too!! It's an ''easy'' melody, which fit's his character, because it's easy to be around him, but… It has also a dark edge to it, which, in my opinion, shows how he's somehow tormenting himself by loving Bella though deep in his heart he knows that she's never gonna love him as much as she loves Edward. I really felt kinda sorry for him. Not always of course because the way he persuaded Bella to kiss him is really off limit! But just imagine that you really love someone, but also know that you already lost! I'd consider him is a really honourable person because he'd catch a bullet for Bella after all, no matter what, and that makes him more mature than much people might think him. (in my opinion)

i saw eclipse last night it was AMAZING of course but the best yet!!you guys are gonna LOVE IT!!!!anywho the score was amazing as well and it just fit so perfectly with the story.on some parts when you could really hear it i got the chills because it went so well with the story.but the move WAS THE BEST ONE EVERRRRR!!!!!!!!have fun tonight!!!!!!!

Loved how Metric's (and Howard Shore's) “Eclipse (All Yours)” incorporated the score baseline – especially in “Wedding Plans”. Best score yet.

I had the great joy of seeing Howard Shore preform in Pittsburg, doing the Lord of the Ring score….so I was so excited to hear that he was writing the Eclipse score and I really feel that he has done it again. The man is amazing!!!! I really feel he has captured the spirit of the characters and events of the movie. Now I can't wait to see and hear it all together. Howard RockS

I have it and is freaking amazing bougth it today at 2 am lol I havent slept much OMG i can't freaking wait anymore! please someone only this time get harry and make him make time go faster with a spell or something LOL I love all the songs in the soundtrack and the battle song gives me guspbuns my favorite one is WEDDING PLANS!!!!!!!! I love it and yeah I know is the song from the soudntrack but I love the first part if you don't BITE ME! lol ok now I'm gonna peace out cuz ppl are waiting for me LOL bye! see ya!

AaAh,, now I'm even more excited to see the movie… I hope I'll love it the way that you do.. although.. untill now I love Twilight and New Moon both too, even with all the criticism around twilight, I just love it!! The score is tremendous so I hope the movie as well:-))

Howard Shore's work for LODR is absolutely fantastic, I am one of the biggest fans of his music! I'm sure Eclipse will be just as epic! I just heard the extracts of each song, and I loved the “first kiss” and there was another one with “kiss” in it I just loved. DS really did his homework!

That's the 2nd time today, that someone liked my Avi! Like yours too… I know, I thought he was absolutly SMOKING HOT in RM. Here in Holland there were only bad references about his acting skills as Tyler, I thought they must 've been blind, deaf or insane because I was like trembling for three days after I'd seen it:-o SOOOO Convincing.. I liked that score too actually!
