Eclipse Producer Hopes Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart “Stay Together”, Explains Victoria Recasting

Time has a revealing new interview with Twilight Saga producer Wyck Godfrey. In it, he explains why he hopes that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart “stay together”–

Everyone is talking about whatever is going on between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Is that good for business?
Do you want the honest answer? I haven’t even thought of it that way.
That’s not the honest answer.
It really is. I honestly don’t think of it in terms of business. It doesn’t affect our core business at all. The thing I do think about is, Oh my God, I hope they stay together. Because it could be awkward on set in the next movie if they have a huge falling out. It’s like, Wow, they have to portray this love story through two more movies. God, I hope they stay together; please stay together. That’s what affects my day-to-day.

You have said it was a scheduling conflict on her part. Missing a box office hit for scheduling? How does that happen?
I think her management told her it would be fine and that she could do both [projects] without really understanding the realities of our schedule. We were locked into shooting her those first two weeks, and those were the weeks that she wasn’t available. That was a hard lesson. As a producer you can work around [scheduling conflicts] when there’s lead time, but when you find out at the last minute, you cannot. And it was heartbreaking for her and us. As much as people like to report differently, no one likes to replace people in a franchise. You don’t want to rock the boat.

Lol. Summit’s aware that the eggs been out of the basket for a while now and that we are not stupid lol. Anyways, I mean if someone still thinks they are friends; then o well. I still think they are friends; but I honestly feel that they are dating. I mean he was so happy to be with her at the premiere and kept checking her out in that dress. O, and what girl flies out of the country to see some guy who’s her friend just for her birthday? Nikki is her best friend, and they are barely together these days. It’s always rob and kristen together. Why are they mostly together than the other cast members? I barely see them hanging out with other casts members. I just feel like the birthday fly out to see rob was it for me. I mean i have best friends, and unless they are sick or something terrible happen; I wouldn’t fly that far for no one except my family or my boyfriend. Hint! Well, I don’t need confirmation. If they are or aren’t; I still love them both and wish them the best with their careers and life

You know, I think if Wyck Godfrey really wants Robsten to “stay together” for Breaking Dawn…then he DOES think it's good for business for his two leads to be a couple IRL. I for one don't think it's HIS business to talk about his leads' personal lives, however obvious it may seem to some.

(But what's funny is my husband saw about 3 seconds of “Robsten” discussion on some special on E! tonight and said, “Oh he's already tapped that. Many times.” [very crude, my hubby.] He barely even knows who the actors are!)

But exactly that could ruin you. totally agree! they were not a couple when they’re filming Twilight and yet the chemistry was SO evident there. i’m not worried for BD if ever they broke up. i’m sure they’re mature and professional enough to do a movie without their personal life getting in the way. ^_^

I think he knows exactly what he is doing and he is a d*#che bag for doing it. He has no consideration for either actors or their private life. He's kept PLENTY of secrets from the media. Why now?
