I like the first trailer the best… I've seen it many times though – but it's still really good! The real teaser for Eclipse should be any time now, since the New Moon teaser came out only a couple of months after it finished filming, so… I cannot wait. It will be awesome! They better have more Edward and Bella romance in Eclipse and the famous leg hitch! Lol. And the tent scene!! Yes!! The scene everyone is waiting for!

Eclipse doesn't come out until January 30 so the trailers can start AfTeR january. I have seen the trailers of Eclipse and Jacob didn't look like Taylor Laurner. I hope they don't replace him because he worked so hard to not get replaced in Mew Moon JUST because he wasn't buff enough. Go Team Jacob ( or Team Taylor Laurner should I say) because he was a good friend in New Moon and Bella was just using him. She even said,” Its always been about Edward.” Please don't replace Taylor Lautner as Jacob in ANY of the Twilight Saga movies!!!!!

Eclipse comes out April or May, can't remember which one. Any trailers that you saw were fanmade and not official, and probably why Jacob didn't look like Taylor Lautner as they would use someone else. Eclipse is all done filming and Taylor Lautner is Jacob.

I have just spent 2 weeks reading all 4.5 books over and over. I have to agree that whilst Robert Pattison does seem to bring Edward straight out of the book, Taylor did his part very well and is a very beliveable Jacob. putting it down to the smile, because thats what bella concentrates on in book 3&4.

I saw the films and then read the books, i think that this was the best way tround because they leave so much out of the films. So i guess im a little fudged for the next 3 films. (Incase you havent herd Breaking dawn is going to be split into 2 films)

I cant wait for eclipse! I am so excited! I am sure that it is going to be great just like twilight and new moon were. Eclipse is out on june 30th, but it seems like forever to me its barely january and im already getting impatient. I just hope this next 6 months go by fast.
I personally am not a team jacob or team edward. I think both of them are great! Jacob was a very good friend to bella when she needed someone the most. Edward loves her more than anything and is willing to do or give her anything she wants just to make her happy. So i think both of them are great guys.

It took me 3.5 days to read all of the books
A little over zealous lol I think anyone who has read the books prior to seeing the movies may be left a little deflated. The books explore and divulge the nature of the characters and i do not feel that the movies bring this to the screen . I was disappointed with both films but having said that, anything more to feed my addiction is welcome 
If they are splitting Breaking Dawn (1st i've heard of this) into 2 films i hope they include every detail this time round. Maybe my imagination is better than what a director or producer can bring but hopefully with more screen time the final films can really indulge my thirst for all things Twilight Saga.

Today's fashionable and “sparkly” vampires don't even compare to Anne Rice's or Steven King's 'Salom's Lot. The ones in those books are what monsters should be like, not Meyer's goopy, LOVE story.

now there is a surprise, bella crying. come on, does she have to do it all the time? i know that it sucked for her when edward left but “cowboy up”. a man (or a vampire) leaving is not the end of the world. she should have learned to take care of herslef. she was selfish. instead of trying to live her life, she chose to walk around in the shadows while he was gone. and when she finally became almost human again she lead Jake on. she knew that she didnt want him but did she stop him from holding her hand when they were together? no. she knew all along that her heart belonged to edward. and in breaking dawn i know that it was nessie that wanted jake to be around or whatever but she was killing edward everytime that jake walked in the door and she got excited to see him. it wasnt fair to jake either. she was married and having edwards baby by that time. how about at her wedding when jake asked her to dance and she told him he could have as many dances that night as he wanted. her wedding! that is so selfish and unfair to edward…thats when you put your feelings for jake aside and get on with your “happily ever after”.
and edward, i understand that bella is his life, the world revolves around her…whatever but he has to let her live and breathe. he needs to be less concerned about her getting hurt, and if he cant do that then he just needs to walk away. the only reason that he wanted her in the first place is because she was a mystery. he couldnt read her thoughts like he could with everyone else on the planet. if he wanted her to be safe and happy and he truely could not live without her then he could have saved himself alot of drama, trouble and headaches by changing her from the start.
both edward and jacob are controlling jerks. i would say that they dont deserve her but because of who she is, they obviously do.
she is a minipulator…again battle in eclipse-let everyone else get hurt but please stay with me and forget about your families. she is naive in thinking that life is fair and easy and that nothing bad will happen. i think that there is something seriously wrong with the characters in this book.
oh and the host was pretty muchs the exact same book as twilight. if you are in love with edward or jacob for that matter then you will love that book. if you want to read the exact same thing again, by all means do it. but if you are looking for something original, put the book down and walk away

are you going by the book or by the movie. Rob and Taylor are not Edward and Jacob. They portray those characters. So that is a matter of opinion or one's taste. If you go by the book and the way SM describes him Edward is the most Handsome. SM said that when he came to her in a dream he was incredibly handsome a hunk of a vampire and he looked like a male model.
As far as Rob and taylor I'm not into any one of them. But overall Rob is sexier and he does not have to take off his shirt for me to see his sexiness. Jacob is cute in a boyish sort of way. and his abs do absolutely nothing for me. When i look at rob sexy is written all across his forehead. That is not what i see when i look at Jacob. But again it a matter of one's taste.

I agree with you CarolinaCullenCoven, and people get too serious over these debates, I'm Twi-hard, but I'm not insane lol… I like all of them of course, which is why I read all the books a million times, bought all the Twilight stuff to put in my china cabinets and all that, cuz I like them ALL… I personally wouldn't read a book or watch a movie so hardcore if I only liked one charector in them lol… But Rob is more of a man, and Jake is more a boy… Which makes sense if you pay attention to how old Jake is… yeah his body reached full adult throughout transformation, but mentally, still a child… They are all young though. And if you go by the actors themselves, Taylor was 17, Rob is 23 I think… So Taylor IS a boy… But I love both of them, sexyness award goes to edward though… But as far as being a hardcore fan, I'm a Twilight As A Whole fan.. This is not to say that I am more Team Jacob than Team Edward, on the contrary, sort of. I believe that Bella and Edward belong together, only because, even though she's not super outspoken about it, Bella is very independant. She needs someone who won't just let her do what she wants whenever she wants (which, let's face it, is what Jacob would do) and she finds that in Edward. He gives her here freedom but sort of manipulates her into not doing dangerous things. Which sound bad I think, but is actually good.
I root for Jacob simply because I knew Bella was never going to end up with him, but he is such an amazing friend to Bella (regardless of her lack of romantic interest in him, a lot of guys would have just moved on leaving Bella alone). He deserves happiness. Someone who makes him as happy as everyone else you see in these novels. I felt like he really deserved that.

I am just confused that Summit hasn't released an official Eclipse trailer yet. It comes out in June, for NM, the first sneek peek happened (i think) at the MTV movie awards, and that was only a few months after T came out and like 9 months before NM would reach theaters, I just want a peek at what they've got for Eclipse, they finished shooting months ago…Eclipse was the only book I liked out of the TS, so I am hoping they don't ruin it like they did T, because that movie was just a plain disappointment…

I have my reasons…well he was in the top 100 worst actors os 2009 or something, and liked new moon best because he didn't have to act as much, etc. yeah and i don't get why all these ppl are saying he's hot…I mean i don't think so.
Apparently those who diss any of the characters didn't read the books. Edward is to look heavenly and I think that Rob Pattinson pulls the Edward look off really well. They don't seem to get the fact that Jacob is supposed to be almost 7 feet tall by the end of “Eclipse”. I doubt that Taylor Lautner will be able to grow that tall between now and the end of filming. I, for one, am part of Team Edward. Jacob was not meant for Bella, period. People need to stop bashing all the characters in this love triangle and read the books. Maybe then they'll have a better understanding of the movies.

There should be no teams, because if you have read the books and comprehended the material, you would know that Bella is meant to be with Edward, and Jacob is meant to be her best friend, which is how it ends up anyways. I am not for a team at all. I love both characters. I do agree that Edward is the better pick for Bella but I am still so excited about Bellas and Jacobs kiss in eclipse. I have read the books twice just in case I missed something the first time.
It is most definitely a long wait. I want to see more of the additions of ♥Edward♥. He and Bella are the story not all the fighting that is exciting when it refers back to them. There's too much OTHER character development. They need to have their own Movies. Right?!!?!!
My comment was about people who suggest that the ending of the story should be different and Bella should be with Jacob, as I said in my previous post. Liking the character Jacob is fine, that is why he was in the plot, he brings a different element to the story line, however many people tend to say that simply because they like his character, the end should be different. I am saying thata true fan of the series and the books understands that the love between bella and edward is true and irrevocable, so yes, although I understand people have different opinions, I feel true fans are not those who think Bella should choose Jacob, because when Meyer wrote the book, that's what she dreamed. She dreamt of Edward and Bella. That is the right ending. Without that ending there is no Twilight. That's all I am saying.
This makes sense, because you are explaining your choice of team because you like his character, but not that the story should be altered. I apprecaite this as many team jacob fans seem to take their 'team' to another level and want the story to be different. that's just silly IMO, because if you love the series, you love all of it, you dont want to change it.

What would be the point in giving jacob a chance when she already knows that she can live w/o Jacob but not w/o Edward. She already lost edward she saw what it did to her. yet jacob was in her life and bella never healed. Edward altered bella the moment he entered into her life and only he was able to make her whole again not jacob. Asking bella to try and let go of Edward is like asking a mother to give up one of her children. Impossible. Edward is bella's true love not jacob. She wants Edward forever and giving Jacob a chance was never going to change that. It would only have made things worse for Jacob because bella would be the same “broken” bella she was when she lost Edward. So really what would have been the point.:)

I realize the actor can't grow to 7 feet tall, but what about special effects. They did a pretty decent job on Harry Potter getting Hagrid to appear taller (not near as big as he should have been) but why can't they make the character of Jacob appear bigger than he is in real life.

I really like the first fanmade one (the one at the top). I think it's better than the original. That person should go into business creating trailers. Wow it was so cool and it really highlighted the meaning of the story. Love, friendship and peace. The peace being the peace between that ridicules fight between vampires and shapeshifters. I love the Eclipse trailer. The action scenes are epic and super exciting. It is great to see more Edward-Bella together, even when the world is coming to an end during the battles!!! We missed Edward-Bella in New Moon (I like to watch the beginning and end of New Moon, when they are together). I love the overall look and hair of Edward in the original Twilight more. Is it just me??? Thanks!
I agree!!!!!!!! Edward is supposed to be the most beautiful person in Bella's eyes, who dazzles her. The Directors should not have focused on the pasty white makeup so much. I think, everyone looked normal and much better in the original Twilight movie. I do not understand why they just did not keep the look.

OMG!! David Slade is a Genius!!! Absolutely fantastic….This 3rd installment is going to surpass the first 2…It seems that there is a lot more action and darkness to it. I loveeee it!!! I'm so happy that David Slade directed Eclipse, I couldn't think of a better director for it. Now hopefully Summit will hire another fantastic director like Knight Shamalaya for the 2 part Breaking Dawn movie!!!

IMHO Bella is selfish. I think she wants to choose nasty/cold vampire (who leave her) instead of hot (in any meanings) and loyal Jake because she wants live forever young and pretty and wants that her future husband will never see her old and unattractive. I really like the movies, but I desagree in some parts, can the movies stick with the books?? Although I believe both guys are hott and unique in their own way, you have to look at the books. Even though both guys love Bella it's ultimately up to her. She made her choice. Remember that the wolves imprint with someone. What if Bella HAD chose Jacob and then imprinted with someone else? But if you have read the books, then you know that the reason Jacob feels like he's in love with Bella is because she has in her Jacob's true imprint mate, Nessie. I LOVE the books and I'm glad that they ended the way that they did. My only hope is that Stephanie continues writing Nessie's story. I believe there's a lot to be written about.

I completely agree. I would rather have people who dont look exactly the part but can carry that emotional atmosphere of the character perfectly. Like, Nikki, I think she is so pretty…but shes not the most beautiful person in the world (the way Rose is described in the books) but I wouldnt have any other person play her. Nikki does a perfect portrayal of Rosalie. Same with Rob – I dont think hes the best looking guy in the world but he is like the perfect Edward. Id rather have someone who can play the character, not stand there and look pretty.
Come on guys, there is no need to fight over if jacob is hot or edward is hotter. And the same goes for if they shouldn't be playing their character. Robert does an amazing job as edward as he makes edward seem vunerable which is what he feels about being with bella. And the person who plays stefan is good as stefan but not as edward. The same goes for jacob. He is great as jacob but it would be weird if someone else played him. And Jacob is in love with Bella because Renesmee is technically inside her as an egg cell, so there is only a slight pull towards bella and not enough to notice it as an imprint, making him believe he is in love with Bella. Besides, you can have both Edward and Jacob on team switzerland, or also called team edcob!

MR takes out all his mean lines and makes him look like a saint and beefs up eclipse with everything about the love triangle and actually makes it seem like jake has a chance. what some jacob fans dont get is that there is a difference between having muscles and being classified as hot b/c of the muscles and just being drop dead sexy….rpatz may not have the muscles but he is better looking and doesnt wear the same thing to every event like taylor does. Ok so have you read Breaking dawn. I think SM totally shows how Bella has some sort of connection to Jacob. There is a part of her that has feelings her him goes away when she has her daughter. And frankly he spends half of BD still convinced he is in love with Bella.
Anyway, I think that though new Moon was my least favorite book it has so far been my favorite movie. It is amazing how much a little extra money can do in the budget it makes Twilight look very low budget if they had a little more money they really could have done that so much better. I totally see it getting some enhancements for like a box set release once breaking dawn comes out.

she had a daughter. She released those feelings after they kissed cuz
she finally realized who she was and what she truly wanted.
New moon was still an amateur movie…many things were poorly done and
too many holes were left in the story. I thought they could have
added way more dialogue into new moonthat wasn't in the book but they
blew it. And all the good Edward/Bella talk at the end was axed. It
was a boring book for most fans but I really thought they could have
made the movie better…I think they needed to add more scenes of
Edward while he was away and not ax his stuff at the end and stop
making Edward so depressing and stop making Jake look like a saint
(they cut out way too many of his jerk moments and even in one
instance flipped a jerk moment from the book into a saint moment in
the movie).
Eclipse will be way better though for sure. Slade actually knows what
he is doing…it's not enough just to go mostly from the
book…there's a lot more a director has to do to make the audience
connect and stuff. Honestly new moon looked more professional but I
liked twilight more. And don't even get me started on that terrible
score and soundtrack…the guy doing the score didn't even do any
research and he admitted it.

Lets all face it, if SM didn't wright these books you all wouldn't have anything to argue about. I think SM is brilliant. She really opened up a new world for all ages. The books are awesome and the movies are exciting to watch. I love them all.
my only complaint (as far as book/movie consistency) so far is that in the scene between Edward and Jacob in the parking lot, it's all wrong. The phone call from Jacob the night before has obviously not taken place. and Bella is the one that thinks Jacob is checking if she's still human, not Edward. He reads his mind that day and tells her that Jacob wanted to talk to him and knew he'd be wherever she was. and what's with Bella getting on the motorcycle and riding off? Edward would NEVER let that happen (at that point).
And also the Volturi in Seattle scene isn't technically in the book, but since the book is from Bella's perspective it's up to the imagination to think of what's happening elsewhere. The scene makes sense and I think it's good to add in other povs.

New Moon was boring, indeed. The entire Saga is centered on the love story between Edward and Bella, so the second film/book was a story without a subject. Secondly, why are you even comparing Rob/ Edward to Taylor/ Jacob? They are worlds apart as actors, not to mention as characters. By the way, has any of you seen How to Be, or Little Ashes, or Remember Me? Rob really knows his act, trust me, although he is still very young. And i am not a 14-year old drooling whenever seeing Pattinson. But he will make it big time, i bet! Looking forward to Eclipse. The book was the best off all 4 since it's all about Bella and Edward's relationship moving to new levels and gettnig more physical and comfortable with each other. I still can't figure out WHY the triangle. There are no other choices once you have met your soulmate. They should have just let Jacob be in love with Bella and she never question her feelings for Edward no matter what she was giving up. She should have had no doubts whatsover, this is the only thing that ruined this book for me. That was really not in context with the story line. Hope they didn't dwell on it too much in the movie. By the way, no one could have played the brooding, intense vampire like Pattinson did. He really brought Edward, perfectly, to life. I am also not a 14 year old drooing over any of them.

Made the midnight line, saw the movie. As I suspected, just like it was the best book, it was the best movie. What makes this book/movie the best is the relationship between Edward and Bella. I am so happy the way they handled the kiss between Bella and Jacob. It gave the kids in the theater what they wanted to see, without putting too much importance on it. They made it seem like a spurt of the moment thing that Bella did to keep Jacob out of trouble. They didn't make it into some romantic s#*t. And Edwards's final proposal, when she says yes.. =) ..WOW…. Pattison nailed it..ahhhhh. The leg hitch…. good….Her ending speech as to why she wants to change is great….Will be going again this weekend…………Dont miss it, guys.. you wont be sorry.

Not the best movie of them three. I think the artist wore too much makeup, specially the vampires. They tried to put too much into 2 hours, they changed key dialogues from the book and inserted new cold and trivial dialogues into the movie. Best book yes, best movie, doubt it.
There is a lot to fit into 2 hrs, but, it was well done. Yes, some good dialoque and parts were missing and after reading the book, it was hard to follow the story. It jumped a lot. So, I simply forgot the book, an watched the movie. It had good and funny dialogue. I think it would have been nicer to have a little more Edward/Bella interaction, since it was predominant in the book. If they could make the movie longer, it would have been nicer; the flow would have been better. But, overall it was good.

Saw it yesterday! It was great. I was disappointed that the epilogue, “Choice”, was not placed in the movie (I was preparing for a huge cry fest…I brought tissue and everything…). Also, the break up scene with Bella and Jacob was so cold, I wanted to punch Bella myself. I mean, Jacob is just laying there in injured and in pain, and she just brushed him off like he was nothing. In the book, Bella cries all night over Jacob. She loved him with a passion, but it still didn't defeat her love for Edward. Unlike the book, the movie ends happily with Edward and Bella excited for their wedding. The ending will be a little disappointing for people who read the books (because of the skipped epilogue), but it is still an awesome movie! There is more action, the romance is about the same, and it is funny yet serious. Overall, Jacob gets the worse end of the stick. I am looking forward to seeing the wedding, honeymoon, Bella's pregnancy, and Jacob becoming somewhat of a pedophile…that's going to be weird…I am still excited to see it though! November 18, 2011(unless they change the date for it by then)! I am a teenager by the way!

I have to say that although a fence sitter when it comes to edward and jacob in the novels,(because they both play a very different and important role) i have to say that the makeup or stylists should be sacked and do not do any justice for edwards character in newmoon and twilight. In the first movie, edward looks suave, sophisticated and very much the gentleman that Stepanie myer described. In new moon and eclipse he looks scruffy and dishevelled and not the young clean cut face that we first saw in twilight. His hair, eybrows and sideburns are way too overgrown and makes his character appear “older”, and that is a bad thind considering he is playing a “never ageing” vampire, but Rob's smauldering eyes and acting save him… just. Jacob, however probably looks more like his character and really buffed up for his role looking less gangly and was quite impressive with all the “ohs” and “ahs” i heard in the audience when i watched new moon. No wonder there are so many jacob fans, because wat happened to the edward from twilight? he looks much older than 17 and much scruffier too.

I have gone with different friends to the theater, therefore have seen the movie severalllll times. The audience cheering for Jacob are the “young” teenagers. I think they like the 6 packs and identify him within their age group. The older teens and the women seem to go for Edward. Pattison has nailed the character and plays brooding and intense perfectly. ….Jacon seems inmature and will show some of that in Breaking Dawn, even after he “imprints” on Bella/Edward's daughter. These young kids will view it all in a different light a few years from now. Me, I'll stick with brooding, intense and romance…..these all add to EDWARD'S beauty…….

To all those who “hate” Jacob, Meyer herself has said multiple times that he was never meant to be hated. And no, I am not a teen, I am actually in my 30s and love Jacob. I believe those that like him do because he is loyal and has boyish charm. I personally feel for him because if it weren't for the vampires, he would have never phased. Edward shot himself in the foot for me when he deserted her in New Moon. Really, Jasper's shortcomings were incredibly worse than Victoria's vengence, GMAB, JMO.

I agree 100%! The Jacob character is very immature and not at all likeable as far as I'm concerned. Of course, Taylor Lautner is a treasure and I think he's going to be around for a long, long time, as will most of the actors in this wondeful series. But, as far as Jacob goes, I didn't like him in the books, and I don't like him in the movies – I just think he's very self centered! He really doesn't care what anybody else wants, and he has no respect for Bella's very obvious choice. That comes with exteme immaturity. I absolutely think Rob has nailed the Edward character, and I love everything about him. He's romantic, respectful, and if Bella chose Jacob, he would let her go – THAT is true love and Edward really makes me swoon. BUT, having said that, I really am team Charlie!! LOL! What a hunk!

If he would have been able to work those abs (they looked pretty good in the New Moon scene) no one would have noticed “Jacob”…… “Edward's” looks and character are much hotter.

Although it may have differed from yours, the times I went to see the movie, MY experience was as stated: younger/teeny boppers for Jacob older teens/other women for Edward. The “OLDER” teens/ women I KNOW are all for Edward….I dont know these actors, threfore I am in no position to criticize them. But, I did read all the books and saw all the movies and can, thus, form an opinion about the CHARACTERS. Taylor may be a great actor, but in MY opinion, his “character”, JACOB, comes across as an inmature one. You need to reread what you are responding to.
