first
2nd
???
yay! top 10 and something new lol
Im sorry, but where's the vintage lace “Anne of Green Gables” look. This is not it!! Why is it so hard to read the books and follow what Stephenie Meyer wrote! Come on people, follow the story!
Finally some news… soooo little news these days. I want more.
Nice dress, but can't imagine Kristen in it.
COOL!
FINALLLYYYYYY something…
wedding dresses oooooooh!
Gah! Top ten!!
congrats on first!!!!!
I think the dress looks great
10th please? and that's not what I imagine…too big and too OVEEEEEEEER the edge. Bella won't like it that way, right?
I can't believe I'm in the top ten for a new post (the first in, like, 3 days! YAY!
Actually I liked the Monique gown, it has more of that 1920's feel.
Likewise… I think they have to make something more skanky for her.
Anyway, this dress is really pretty and I can't wait for more Eclipse news
i think the first and second one looks the best
I agree… not an early 20th century look at all although some of the other designs tried to reference that time period at least.
Bella shouldn't be made to look like a snow beast!! Like Toula Portokalos!!!
Something which emphasizes her dainty frame would be awesome. For the above dress someone with a bigger bone structure and body frame will be suitable.
HA HA I do try! Did you have a good weekend? I went to the movies on Saturday and there were posters hanging up for New Monn with countdowns!!!!!!!!!!! So EXCITED!!!
mmmmmm It is not how I imaguine it. What about how bella explain it, she said it loock like a inverted cala lily.
i like lela rose's and monique lhuillier's efforts the most!!!
4th! Within the top 5!
I agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
The lela rose one looks like what I've imagined. The last one is just horrible.
I liked Monique Lhuillier's the best..it seemed simple enough and of the right era for Bella's dress.
WTF is that?
totaly un-1900's
can not, at all, imagine kristen wearing that dress (nor would i tbh)
the designer has missed some very important points- firstly it needs to look edwardian, secondly it has lace, thirdly it has full sleaves- as thats a typical trait of edwardian dresses.

thank you
TOTALLY agree with jeanna13's top comment (would be more specific myself but I CAN NOT SEE THEM ON MY WORK COMPUTER!!!!!!!!!!!) ARG
Thats what I said the second one hit the mark perfectly. (Monique Lhuillier's)
I totally agree. The top of the dress is all modern. I guess the tierd bottom is suppose to look vintage with a modern twist. Not to mention, it is totally not Bella!!
new-post-osity!!!!
hmm… but im not sure Bella is really a, “oh look at me in my pretty poofy dress” type girl.
it is a pretty dress tho. and really it's a new post. so i don't really mind
)
OMG! I was laughing so hard at the Toula comment I fell off my work chair!
Not very good for what the dress was described as…way too much volume going on there.
I got my issue of Modern Bride in the mail the other day, and there's a Twilight inspired spread – “Eternal Love” or something like that and they had little captions like “will keep you swooning way beyond twilight”, etc.
Even the Bridal mags are being affected!
But one of the dresses in that spread were suitable for Bella, I think. If you see Modern Bride in stores flip through to it
i love it!!:)
*jumps out from behind cardboard Edward*
Boo!!
Haha, how are ya girl?
I couldn't think of anything better!
I think the term “snow beast” would be apt!!

Take care not to get caught at work though!
I agree the first dress is too much – she'd get lost in.
I think the Monique Lhuillier is closer to what's written in the book and would look the best on her body.
The Lela Rose one looks good to.
AT LAST SOME MORE NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHEYYYYYYYYY!!
P.S, THE DRESS IS NICE TOO
Congrats. The coveted first post in a long time spot… nice!
Exactly!!
It looks chic and also looks that it will fit KStew's frame…
I like the second one, loocks more like the story and more like bella
It looks nice, but I need to see more selections. hahahaha
LOL .. I'm just laughing at the look on Rob's face when he sees Kristen dressed up in a wedding dress for the wedding scene. Somebody better be getting video of that sh*t. hehe
One boss working from home – the other 2 on vaca. Should be OK for a few minutes though the hysterical laughter was hard to cover up!
Omg new news!!!!! Woo hooo!!! I'll take what ever even a dress??
!!!
YAY!! Your avi pic has changed!! That is an adorable pic
Yes!! yes and yes for the dress
Second one definatly is much more remenicent of the early 1900 era- much more bella, and much more realistic.
not to mention beautiful
definatly the second one iss a winner
LOL same case here!!
One working from home and the other no where to be found
Plus I am blasting Nickelback at loud volume!
I ♥ my job and bosses!
you 4 need some pictures instead of the gray face – it is too hard to tell you all apart! Do you need help fining specific types of pic's? I am sure there will be plenty of us to help you look… or make suggestions…
OHMYGOD.
I THOUGH THE THING ROUND HER NECK WAS HER FACE FOR A SECOND!
LOL.. ok Alice… haha
Hmm in my opnion the dress is too grandiose… she need a artless one… like in her daydream with edward (was it a daydream?? I'm not sure)… i think i remember she said somethin like a dress from the time of jane austin
I wonder how it will feel to her looking at sketches and picking out her wedding dress!(the real Kstew I mean)
Hrm, interesting…. Only a couple I actually like.
My office is huge but my department is on a separate floor so there are only 5 people working up here right now.
I LOVE MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING – so my life but a different nationality! LOL
this dress is nice, but i imagined something less frilly and way more simple… hopefully this is just a beginning stage for the final product?
hahaha. Gotta have choices.
I don't even remember the description of the dress in the book, but am I the only that thinks this is cool that Instyle magazine is having people sketch potential Bella wedding dresses?
Random much? hehe
I can't picture Kristen in the first one. It's definitely not “Anne of Green Gables”. I think the second one would be perfect. I can already see Kristen wearing it.
We need the movies to come out sooner!
OMG same!!! I love MBFGW me too from a diff nationality… but my life is closer to Bend it Like Beckham
Good for you!! Keep up the commenting and posting!
Too much dress for too little Bella! Exactly, she needs to look sleek and dainty… with an old world flare… haha… listen to me talking as if I really know fashion! Christian Siriano just likes to get his name where ever he can! Not that the dress isn't pretty… but I don't think he knew anything about Bella's character when he made it…just some random wedding dress that he designed and wanted to get seen.
I love that even InStyle magazine is getting in on the Twilight mania! LOL
Wonder how many people were like WTF? when they saw this on their site.
I don't know if this is how the dress was described in the book. I know the wedding is supposed to be 1900's themed…and this dress seems much more modern. Still a pretty dress though.
i like it, i think it looks classy. but yes, it doesnt have that 1900's feel to it; it seems more of a modern version. the top of it is what i imagined but the skirt of it needs to be more fitted. because didnt they say that it “flowed over the shape of her hips?”
I know finally! Why thanks. I think it's cute for right now. I have to do something between updates.
OMG!!! The one bu Monique Lhuillier is exactly the way I pictured her dress in my head!!
I seriously have tears in my eyes! It looks like her “Anne of Green Gables” daydream!
That IS Bella's dress
LOL!! The fact that you KNOW who Christian Siriano is shows that u know enough abt fashion…
I too cant comment like an expert but we have an immediate idea if the dress will suit her or not and that, my friend, is fashion intuition!
Ummm ok these designers obviously haven't read the book!
She'd look like a cupcake, the dress would drown her!
However I think the Lela Rose design is so pretty!
i like monique lhuillier's and max azria's. they're not puffy and totally simple, old-fashioned, classically classy and totally what Edward would choose for Bella
but, if they're going to put it a little puffy, the one by lela rose is totally a perfect choice..
and the total disaster would be the one by zac posen. bummer.. i like that guy, though..
i LOVE the second dress (monique whatever…) is close to what i have imagined anyway….
Between update I had got my work done!!!
Can you believe it?? WORK!!!
*sigh*
They better have more choices because this one doesn't fit the character at all!! They should have the readers send in picutres of dresses they imagine on her… they would get great choices then!!

LMAO!
Took a couple of quizzes on facebook – Apparently I am a total wolf girl ( according tot he quizzes I am best matched to an alpha and big fat NO to vamps… is it too late to change my name? LOL)
I know!!! Right, why can't we be the designers instead?.
What happened to “Anne of Green Gables” look?
First those dolls and now this…..
Hell Yeah!!!
I have already taken one of the Alphas… so u might have to manage with the other one…
I agree…I like the Lela Rose one.
Good news !! but I'm afraid that means that there's no breaking dawn movie :'(
Out of the 9 or 10 they have, I like the Siriano bodice, but I like Lhuillier skirt and train. A merge of those two would be cool. But if I had to choose one as is, I like Lhuillier's.
They should definitely go with the Monique Lhuillier dress.
Loves… I have no idea how to make an avatar. I literally repel technology (wink)
I agree, monique lhuillier's is the prettiest with being somewhat accurate with the vintage details…plus she makes gorgeous gowns.
GLADLY! =]
I wouldn't try to take that which is yours…
The second dress in the gallery is the only one that I think would really work for the movie.
I really hope they don't choose a modern dress and stick close to the original vision. It's one of the only things that I really respected in Eclipse. I adore 1920's wedding style, and was so happy to read that's the angle Stephenie Meyer decided to choose.
I think the dress in the book is hideous.
umm that dress…….lik r they serious i mean guys can u actually picture 4 1 minute kstew in that?????? no no no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is not even close 2 how imagined bellas dress!!
I will try to help. What sort of pic are you thinking of?
Did you see the 2nd one Ash?
Its much better than the first, it looks much more like what I imagined
Beautiful dress. But a little too modern maybe?
but it is not Kristen who will be wearing it really. it will be Bella. and she is more conservative. =]
i know this is just the beginning of the dresses that will come pouring in for her to wear. all designers are going to want Bella to be wearing their dress in Breaking Dawn. I can't wait to see what it will look like. it is going to be stunning! and you know they will not let that leak out until the movie itself! lol
Well bella liked it and I like it too…..
Good idea, but I doubt they would do it that way.
Hmm… well according to the Queen Bee, Bella's dress is vintage and old fashioned… just like sweet, sweet Edward *sighs*The entire wedding is somewhat based on Edward's old fashioned-being… YES… I cant wait… that dress is beautiful but I think they need to go more vintage!!!
Exactly and it was said to be more old fashioned so I honestly thing the Erin Fetherston or the Lela Rose dress would be the best choice
I think the 2nd one is more Bella… but wt is up with the 4th and 10th one??? Really weird….. lol!
)
The second one by Monique Lhuillier is the best. IMO It is Jane Austen with a modern twist. Perfect! Number three is very approriate, but I honestly don't think Kristen would look that great in it. That's my only problem with it.
I think Max Azria capture the gown perfectly. It's the closest to anne of green gables. The lace, the high neck, and the sleeves. It's the 5th image out of the ten.
If you want a more modern interpretation of what Bella's dress was I would say Monique's (the 2nd one I think) is beautiful.
But all in all, in my opinion, Max Azria came the closest to my image of her dress.
I liked number 5. It had the lace, the sleeves, and the high neck. It's how I imagined the dress in my head.
I think if you take away the stripes the lace forms in the upper section it's perfect.
this is going to be one tough choice for them. they know they are going to have to get it right! pivotal scene needs an amazing dress for that first time we see her walk down those stairs!!
I liked the 2nd one and #7 too. the others… some of them look like finger painting, and others don't suit the style
if you click on the article you'll see the other dress choices the second 1 I think would be the most perfect! and i have to admit i'm getting sick of everyone hating on Kristen I'm just saying….
I completely agree. my favourite was the one by Monique Lhuillier. It was the only one that looked beautiful without looking skanky. I bet the others didn't even think about what Bella would wear.
I found a dress online that i think is perfect for Bella, and at the moment it is one of the most looked at images for Bella.
Here it is: http://imbettingonalice1901.deviantart.com/art/...
Please look and tell me what you think…
They looked okay. I liked the second one the best. Seems most “Bellaish” to me. Hopefully whoever directs BD won't let Kstew wear converse with her wedding dress like she did in Twilight. Although I do love converse sneaks! xD
Well if you ask me,
the second one is the closest to how I imagine Bella's dress, however when I read the book I pictured it with bare shoulders…
I must say I didn't pay much attention to how Bella's dress looked like when I read the books, I was more interested in the whole wedding itself, and what was going on there
)
I must read the description again I guess
))
I actually have on my comp right now. It looks like Alex Meraz almost nekkid
okay so on further thought, i thought i would just draw my own idea for her dress.
any feedback people? i hope someone likes it haha:
http://s900.photobucket.com/albums/ac206/Twiadd...
i love that!!!
)
(nice avatar btw
omg that dress is great! i sketched my version of her dress and it looks similar to that: simple yet sooo elegant.
They should give the designers of what was described in the book …
and see what they made out of it. It would be nice if some designer, hopefully those who are good at making wedding dress, will do it, and auction the dress out for charity … they should have a contest among top designers and let us fans choose the one that is must befitting for bella on her wedding day
Then after it was filmed, the dress can be auctioned to the highest price for charity?!!!
Thanks.
So many people miss interpret the late 1910's for the victorian era and draw Bella in a flouncy gown. She would never have worn it if it had frills all over it. I thought this was a good compromise between the vintage style and simple elegance.
*squees at my avatar* I loves it! They are just so beautiful together. Team Edward and Bella always – Jacob never got a look in. I'm reading 'New Moon' at the moment and i'm finding it so hard! lol.

VOILA avi pic! try it out…
omg… i totally agree.. LELA ROSE it is! It's the closest to what the dress SHOULD be! LACE LACE LACE!!!
the rest are cute but some of them are a wtf?
aww!! i know i cry every time i read it and i usually skip like 4 chapters in the middle haha AND italy is my fav part EVER!! like out of the whole series (other than esme island of course haha)
dudeee bella would NEVER wear a flouncy gown! with frills and bows and stuff.. nah it has to be simple and i think thats what ur gown accomplishes
sme here. i cant imagine bella in tht! i mean if she wont even wear a prom dress, why in the world would she allow alice to make her wear tht?
lol
if kristen doesn't want to wear it I will be glad to take it.
I like your drawing. I couldn't see Alice letting her get away with a simple bodice though.. maybe a corset? who knows… I can barely dress myself and since when did these movies dress bella correctly anyway?
I like the 7th one by Lela Rose except itd have to be white
hahaha me neither. the 2nd one is indeed absolutely stunning!!! its WAY simple but still with the lace, very feminine. bella would TOTALLY wear it!
ya the second 1 is by far the best 1!!!!!! i dnt no wat that dude was thnking with the 1st 1!! obviously never read the fricken book!!!!!!!
hahahahahaha!!
you are so right though… probably something more fitted and not loose like what i pictured…
(i like ur avatar/name btw lol it made me chuckle)
I'm sort of sadomasochistic (cringe because she knows she used a twilight word), because i loved the parts in New Moon when Bella was clearly in pain. I have just read the bit where she goes back to the house and wonders whats inside. I'm like 'Yes! Feel the pain, jump off the cliff! But whatever you do DON'T LOVE JACOB BLACK!'
Volterra reunion is the most amazing scene ever. I could feel my heart thumping in my chest when i watched the film clip. OMG! Its amazing! *goes to youtube to play it again*
I like your gown too. There are kind of similar in their intentions in their designs don't you think? Both have lace at the bottom and a smooth design at the top.
If she was considering sweats to begin with, Alice would have had to physically wrestle her into anything as hideous as those designer dresses!
Seeing any Breaking Dawn related news puts a HUGGGGGEEEEEE smile on my face…….BUT, with that being said…….no…very nice sketch, and a lovely dress, but not all all close to how Bella's is actually described.
i have a queation……………………..
R THEY F*CKIN SERIOUS WITH THE 10TH DRESS?????????????????????????????
The wedding dress will have to be perfect, perfect like Bella's Anne of Green Gables vision. A time when love wasn't so hard and times were slightly more innocent. the look needs to fall in line with gowns of the early 1900's.
i completely agree…and by the design of pretty much every other dress it is obvious they did not read the saga or even the description of the dress
but i REALLY like the second one, and it is EXACTLY how i pictured bella's dress
Haha. *pats self on shoulder*
Look at us with our fashion intuition!! Lol
Yes… I will admit… I watched that season of Project Runway! Lol He is a squirlley dude that's for sure!
Her dress will be beautiful in the movie if they stick to the book!
thanks
i was close to 1st. darn. i missed it.
No, of course not. Only we think of things like that, Summit just does whatever they darn well please!
lol hey you!
whats this about leg hitches? i forgot that part
I agree, that one's definitely the more bella-ish in my opinion.
i agree, there are elements from both dresses i would use….does anyone else think the fourth one just looks like a big scribble? i dont see a dress?
Yeah, I really liked that one! It really has to 1918-look, which is the way it is described in the book. I hope they do a good job with it.
It's gonna be AMAZING to see the wedding finally up on the big screen. But I've been thinking this past weekend (since it's been so slow on news), that when all the movies are over and done with…..what the hell are we gonna do?? I'm gonna need some serious therapy to handle it. Not seeing the cast together, not learning any more new news about the filming of our beloved saga. OME, I think I might start crying right here and now :´(
Thanks Rox! 1918 is such a hard period to get right, as it was a little late on for the edwardian frills but too early for the short flapper '20's look.
*crosses fingers, toes and eyeballs* wow! now i can't see properly. Yeah, i hope they make a good job of it too. Chris Weitz has done an AMAZING job with New Moon. Perhaps they'll take him back on for BD if the fans rave about New Moon enough.
I'm starting to stockpile tissues now for when its all over. what shall we do??!! There has been some talk of a volturi movie afterwards. I myself would prefer them to do the past and formation of the Cullen family. That would be fantastic!
*brings out the party poppers* but lets not despair, eclipse being filmed AND New Moon still waiting to be released. There's never been a better time to be a Twerd! ;p
Ummmm….. That one does not look like something Bella would wear. I don't like it for her.
thank god im not the only one who just saw a mess! it looks like one of those squiggles a shrink is supposed to show you!
Noooooooooo. they HAVE to have the Anne of Green Gables dress. It has to be the dress for Edward.
That's not “Anne of Green Gables” -like.
That's the whole point of the wedding…it's supposed to be from Edward's time because he was that type of guy in 1918.
I would LOVE for Chris to come back for BD, what he's done so far look beyond anything I would have imagined.
Yeah, movies about the Volturi and the Cullens would be exciting to see, but I don't think we can expect any of our favourite Twilight actors to be a part of that, I think once the saga is done with, they want to move on and do something different.
But you're right, I shouldn't sit here beeing depressed already, it IS a great time to be a Twerd, if only there could be some more news!
Bring on November that's all i say!
*standing ovation for CW* Bravo!
And, your right, our favourite actors probs won't be in any other Twilight films after BD. The last thing i want Summit to do is use second rate actors to replace them and make more money. Quality not quantity is what matters with the films.
SHOUT OUT TO ALL TWERDS! WHOOOOOO!
I'm going to say I go with Monique fthat dress fits more to Bella's style the first dress is way too much like princess fairy tale that isn't even Bella's style the next dress would have to be the design by Max, then the design shown by I'mbettingonAlice…Lastly our very own TwiAddict! everything else is BLAH!
These were my exact thoughts. Lhuillier skirt because in the book- it says when bella is shaking and nervous she watched the silk/satin skirt ripple under her and Alice buttoned a long row of satin/silk buttons… all the other designes have to much lace for description given in the book. Now I found a design which i thought with a little tweaking would be gorgeous for her dress- vintage bodice lace (need to add a matching train/veil here obviously) and replace the taffetta to 100% silk satin And of course make it all in beautiful white. Its also has a more modern cut… What do you think? Am i stretching here?
take a look: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&i...
i always saw it as some thing like this
http://www.annebarge.com/static/Spring/2005/Cou...
WOW, I just went back to finish reading the thread (because I stoped before to comment on the dress in your link), but now that I read the way you feel about New Moon, I totally recognize my own reactions!! I am totally Team Edward and Bella, I've never really understood the facination with Jacob (don't hate on me Team Jacob fans). And like you said, in New Moon, I love the parts when Bella is in total agony, when she feels the pain so hard she can't hardly breath, and when she tells Jacob that she hughs her chest because it hurts her to talk about the Cullens. Oh shit, I'm gonna start crying just thinking about it.
Hopefully this really comes across in the movie, I want to sit in that movie theater crying my eyes out (because that's what I did throughout the most of the book, I just couldn't stop crying). Whenever Bella even thought about Edward I just started crying again, and I want to feel this watching the movie. I'm soo excited for november!! =)
yeah, thats a good idea. i think that the designers should send out a PSA and ask the twi-fans to give criticsm!
i agree 100%
she should wair some thing simple and classy and elgant and old fasioned
http://fashionbride.files.wordpress.com/2009/05...
like this one
yeah! the 2nd one is something Bella would wear…but i love christian siriano! …if only he had designed the 2nd one!
I do like the second one, but the one by Lila Rose is what I pictured…plus it's almost exactly like an updated version of the one my grandmother wore in the '20s. Those two are the only ones that look like a calla lily to me.
I absolutely love that dress for Bella!
OMGosh, most of the dresses didn't even look pretty! :/ But I did really like the dress sketch by Monique Lhuillier on the InStyle website. Definitely the best style and the prettiest.
I like that one!
I liked the one made my monica ..
fitted bella(kristen) pretty well .. it's beautiful but also a little old fashioned..
but.. am I missunderstanding .. or why are they looking for dresses if they not are making breaking dawn?
I liked the Lela Rose one best as well. Looks more like what I pictured when reading the book!
Oh I Love this thread, all the Gorgas dresses! I hope who ever designs Bellas dress gets it right, or that I will NOT put up with LOL
Hmmm it's not what I imagined in the book but maybe in could work. This is a drawing after all.
Looks awesome and would fit Kristella great!
I sooo agree. i would like the dress to be simple, but to look absolutly great. with like alice style to it. Its tooo Designerish for bella and alice wouldnt do that to her….
And yes NEWS!!! lol
x
Can't see that dress on Kristen…or Bella! Yuck!!
Im loving Monique Lhuilliers design! But the 4th one, where the hell was the head? It looked a little like a picassco dress lol
They just need for this dress to look like how it was described in the book! How much easier can it be? Hell, go ask Meyers what the dress should look like. They already screwed up this movie by getting rid of the original Victoria, they better not botch this up as well! You'll have one pissed off fan right here! *raising hand in the air*
lol i agree. alice would win tht match hands down though! I bet alice would wear tht though!
In you go on the InStyle icon you can see all 10 dresses. According to what the books describes I would go with either Monique Lhuilleir, or Maz Azria dresses. I think designers need to at least read the section of the book where the dress is describe and come up with something good.
To me the #1 of all ten dresses would be definetely Maz Azria.
Did you see the Max Azria dress?
I don't like it. It just too much for Kristen to wear or Bella. Please stop screwing around Summit and actually read the book!
The second one is beautiful, the one by Monique Lhuillier. I can picture Bella wearing something like that
I think the mAx Azria dress was pretty good too becuase in the book it says it has long sleeves
Hello,
I see you are new to our little party. Welcome! I hope you have as much fun posting as we all do.
As a courtesy, I thought I might mention to you that honey_bee (yes, it is spelled differently) is a friend and fellow poster on here and the New Moon site. We are a bit over protective of our friends' names and avatars. As she has been here for quite some time – might you change your name to avoid confusion? I had to go look through my list to see if you were her. And since you are new, it might help to scroll through some of the posts to see what names and avatars are out there. I know it becomes more difficult as people take them up.
Again, welcome to the party. I look forward to seeing a photo rather than a gray face. Please let me know what you've changed your name to so I can thank you and read your fun comments. : )
dont like the dresses at all
I could totally see Bella in the 2nd one but the 1st one is nice to. I can wait to see how they do Kristen's make up in Breaking Dawn to make her look more beautiful than she already is. Plus they have to make her look different to since when she first see's herself after she becomes a vampire she has to look hard to see parts of her old self.
i don't know if i can imagine kristen/bella in it i don't think that would be something that bella would wear considering she doesn't like big clothing and something flashy. (but i can say that could be something alice would pick out)
bella is conservative bcuz edward is all i want to protect ur virtue! blah!
Looks like this one is the most popular. It's the one I chose, too.
I'm hoping if they do BD for sure.. and have a designer create a wedding dress.. that they talk to SM to get a couple hints.
::sigh:: I'm ashamed that I know the name. lol. I only recognized it, though, because he made an appearance on Ugly Betty and I watch that show. haha.
agreed! i can see the Monique Lhuillier or the Lela Rose dress working, it has that vintage feel.
I looked at the different dresses. First, what in the world was Brian Reyes drawing? It looked more like a neuron than a dress.
As for my favorite of the dresses I'm tied between Max Azria and Lela Rose. I'm leaning closer to Max's design. Too bad he put his name on the crapfest of generic clothes that Miley Cyrus “designed” for wal-mart. To me that kind of ruined his credibility… hmmm…
Are you kidding me?!?!? Ahh!!
Sorry… didn't mean to freak out… haha
The leg hitch was in Eclipse when Edward had Alice “kidnap” Bella for the weekend while he went hunting and she got really ticked off at him. She had called and left him a message and told him that he had had it when he got home. When he got home she had slept on the couch because she refused to sleep on the bed that he bought for her. He moved her and when he did she woke up and she of course instantly forgave him and they started like making out. When they had gone to a point where she thought that he was going to pull away he instead “hitched” het leg around her waste and continued on… It was sooo hot. That is a lot of ours favorite scene so… we are Team Leg Hitch! I think that I have also decided to add “Hey_I_Read (about hitches and tents) to my name since the tent scene is a tie for me with the hitch. Haha
Hope that cleared that all up!! LOL
You probably don't remember since it was a scene that didn't involve Jacob!

My favourite one is the Lela Rose one too, it's so beautiful and just like I imagined. Very Alice like, considering she'd supposed to have designed it.
Most of the designers totally ignored the brief and put their own twist on it but I'm sure the one they use will be pretty close to the description in the book
So excited now!! Bring on the wedding!
Me too! Lela Rose version is more how I envisioned it!!
Like the dress but its just not like bella described in breaking dawn. :/
Team Edward
<3
I really like two. But the book says its built around edward in the era. So 3 would also work. BUT i think two would fit kristen better, and its alot like i pictured it while reading the book.
I am not really feeling any of these dresses…. they just do not seem like the one that Bella would wear…. at all. I am not sure if it is the odd drawings or I am just imagining a completely different dress (what what described in BD)…. hopefully they get the dress right for the movie though!
The Monique Lhuillier design is my pick. Classic, graceful and flowing – gorgeous. Kristen in one lucky girl. She gets to marry Edward and date Rob!
Pretty dress!…AAAHHH it'll be interesting what they'll use!!
OHHH…and Eddie in a tux!….WOOO…can't ever get enough of Robbiekins in a tux!
Aww I really really liked the 2nd and the 7th dress I can actually picture them in BD .
I wonder if half any of these designers took time to read the book before drawing a picture. Some of them are just silly. I like the Monique Lhuillier best.
I like the Lela Rose one, but none of them are right. It needs to be more vintage, maybe more of an ivory colour rather than dazzling white. More fitted around the waist, with lots of lace. That would be more in keeping with the time period the dress is supposed to represent.
the max azria dress and the lela rose dress were my faves.
Exactly my thought!! =) i was thinking Lela Rose, Monique Lhuilier, or the Erin Fetherston one…
I really like Max Azria & Lela Rose's dress…both of them are a combination of how I imagined it! I also like Monique Lhuillier bottom part of the dress it is very beautiful and it has the long line of buttons, but the top part does not look like a 1918 or Anne of Green Gables kind of dress.
Ohhh that leg hitch, I can't wait to see that in the movie!!!! They better put that in there!
Ok I'm not seeing any of them really Bella is a simple kind of girl but maybe that's my interpretation.
The second one Monique is quite good, the 5th one by Max is the one I associate most with Anne of the Green Gables, the 7th one by Lela is not too far off either. I have no idea what the 4th one is just a messy squigle I guess.
Back to the drawing board I'd say
NEXT!!!
hahaha i know…. all my friends are team jacob cuz hes “hot and not overjealous and crazy like edward”
im sorry but i wil never truly get the fascination with jake: in my mind he is purely friend if i were bella. but yea me too! i read new moon cuz i like the whole shes so in love that when he leaves she dies inside. thats true soulmateyness (haha) right there.
and im pretty sure im going to cry when i see the reunion. pretty sure.
Some of these dresses are a bit crazy…i could never see Bella wearing a lot of them…but the Monique Lhuillier design is really close to what i imagined when i read the book!! so exciting…
Yes ma'm they better!! *wink*
Hitch it up Rob!! Lol
No kidding here's and idea…
How about FOLLOWING THE DESCRIPTION IN THE BOOK!
What a concept for the designers
i love this one
http://www.instyle.com/instyle/package/general/...
okay so right now im drawing my own and it looks just like that no lie i'll post it when i finish
thank you i just said that i'm in love with it so beautiful and so bella omg crying
I actually hate it, its not traditional at all, if there dare but that freaking bag on her for breaking dawn i will be so pissed, they just cant do that !!
It's beautifull but it doesn't really seem like 'Bella' to me, it's too much. The dress should be simpler, more elegant than flashy like this one…
I think the Max Azria Victorian vintage lace gown is more with what they should be going for, but I also could see the Monique Lhuillier 1920s mermaid style lace and silk dress being as Alice put a twist on it. That would look like something Alice would put out there.
I didn't realize that they were actually gonna show us the dress. I figured they'd save that until she actually walked down the aisle in Breaking Dawn. Interesting.
I like that one too.
Love This Dress!
It's almost what I thought it would look like from the book.
In regards to the InStyle Dress. I think that the gown is made for a celebrity rather than Bella's character. Beautiful Gown but not for Bella.
Me too, but I think the Max Azria victorian is closer to what the book talks about.
The dress by Monique Lhuillier, it's so romantic, ladylike, looks kinda like what the ring's era is like? I love it. Love the laces, feels kinda sexy.
The dress by Erin Fetherston, it looks romantic, sweet, girly but i don't like pink in wedding dress, i feel a tradtional wedding dress should be white or creamy, it doesn't feel very wedding like too, more like a dress fr jane austen's era.
The dress by Brain Reyes, it sounds ok but I can't see it fr the abstract drawing. But I don't think i like the color and that it looks like a blouse and a long skirt?
The dress by Max Azria, abit stiff looking, i don't really like the simple drawing, can't get the feel of the dress fr the simple drawing. Abit of lace is nice but lots of laces, kinda uncomfortable? High neck and squarish shoulder area = stiff.
The dress by Prabal Gurung, though dramatic looking, the long train will look nice but low back, I am not sure about that, not so bella like. It's abit too modern as well.
The dress by Lela Rose, it look really really sweet, simple, and it has some laces, it also look pretty romantic. I like it.
The dress by Christian Siriano, too runway to me, too dramatic, too modern. Not the right dress for bella.
The dress by Badgley Mischka, too not so wedding like, high neck again, abit uncomfy.
The dress by Zac Posen, too dramatic, too puffy, pink (not so traditional wedding like), puffy shoulders (not really nice), i hate the messy drawing. Don't like it.
So by far, my two faves are the first dress by Monique Lhuillier and the 6th dress by Lela Rose.
I guess to me, wedding dresses should be either white, or creamy white, or peachy white.
My vote is for Monique Lhuillier dress (the 2nd one), Cristian's is too modern looking

WHICH ONE WOULD YOU GUYS PICK?
I feel like the designer for the dress should go to either Vera Wang or Stella McCartney .They both do stunning wedding dresses
You're right on that one because whoever the lucky designer is to get it right is gonna get well known fast IF they aren't known already because they'll get to claim the title of making Bella's wedding dress.
I can't wait and hope they stay true to the book. Surely Stephenie will have some say in what the dress is I mean it's her made up character and she wrote the book she should know what she wants Bella's dress to look like.
This kinda sounds like a fun contest lol.
The Fetherstone dress is the only one that looks “Austinesk”. The rest look too contemporary or deco. Maybe they need an older designer to be working on this project!

Alright so as I said b4 I drew my own dress a while ago
my fave out of these is this one
http://www.instyle.com/instyle/package/general/...
i like the first and second dresses … third one is too princess like.
Good find.
I think maybe the second one is best. For me.
If I had to choose one of these I would choose the one by Lela Rose too. It was my favorite. I would prefer what you said follow the book, but I can't see the designers giving up the chance to have their own design in one of the biggest movies of 2010.
You must remember, it's not really bella like in the book as it's by ALICE. LOL.
They tried to make the dress according to the style of the ring.
Yeah I also really like the 2nd one too
What i d give for the wedding scene to be real for Robsten
ME TOO! It's my fave fave.
Lela Rose all the way!!!!!!!!!!!gorgeous dress if kristen gets to wear it she'll look fantastic!
I love this news. I can't wait to see that movie!!!! Ah the twilight parties I will have when they are all out on dvd. lol
Was one of those sketches even of a wedding gown??? lol
Anyhoo, I like the Monique Lhuillier one – very 'Bella' but it has to suit Kristen as well and IMHO this one does
i love it too, it's lovely, very romantic, and abit lace, abit of train…nice..
btw, Monique's dress is also my top fave.
That was my fav too!
Good sketches, well done.
i know right!
and how many people do you think will want that dress as their wedding dress? lol.
i think its perfect.. i mean its old fashion but pretty and kinda modern too..i was worry about that part honestly..i didnt want bella in an ugly old fahion dress..but they should look for more options..maybe theres something less loud than that..but remember that alice chose the dress..so i think its great
the bottom area is abit simple? maybe some more work … like a train …
i think there are some layers in the book?
lace top and pear buttons are nice. ^^
Oh no, no, no, no.
Just NO.
Way too much frills, lace, and poofs. I get that they're trying to go for the era of the dress but they all took it too far. And a pink dress? I hope that's a joke.
The dress needs to be simplistic yet beautiful. Like Bella/KStew.
The only one that was remotley what I would find fitting was the one by Prabal Gurung. Love the low back. I could see Bella/Kstew in that.
The Lhuilier is my favorite. I cant remember the description in the book but it reminds me of the early century and my second favorite is the Sieriano although it may be a bit to much for Bella. The Lhuilier is simple yet elegant. I think it would look perfect on Kristen's slim frame and something we would all love to see on her.
¨lol… the real robsten wedding … ahh … we can dream … wonder will kristen be girly about it … like really want a long white wedding dress …
or just a short modern one … or no dress at all?? LOL
I am still picturing the Anne of Green Gables wedding dress…
What happened there? None of the one's shown look like that?
I m guessing no dress lol then it could be a nude wedding and I wouldnt mind seeing rob nude
i didnt realy like any of those dresses!!! stephenie wrote it as an anne of greene gables look and i just didnt see it in them…they looked a bit too modern imo! if i had to choose though i would say my favorite was the lela rose gown
OMG that does not look like bella at all. i could not see her wearing that dress. sorry try again. i think the dress needs to be more simple and lots more lace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You guys just make my day. I love coming home and reading all the hilarious comments that go with the news! I didn't really like any of the dresses either. If I absolutely had to pick on it would be the one with the buttons all down the back with the train only coming out a little at the bottom. When Bella looked in the glass at the wedding she thought and i quote ” the narrow sheath of the shimmering white dress flared out subtly at the train almost like an inverted calla lily, cut so skillfully that her body looked elegant and graceful.” Did any of those even slightly resemble an inverted calla lily!!??
*views picture of wedding dress*
LMAO!!!
Can you believe Twilight's so huge that they have someone like Christian sketching BElla's wedding dress?????
Though Im not complaining, it's well deserved.
I can totally picture Bella wearing the second one or that one from Rose… Awww… noi i get to dream about breaking dawn! if only it were november already LOL
I read it as “Anne of Green Gables”-esque. I felt it had a classic Victorian look, but with some modernity to it. That's how I pictured it in my mind anways.
I think they're just giving ideas out to the world lol. If they were seriously planning the actual dress as of right now, it WOULD be top secret. haha
I think the Monique Lhuillier dress is the right style for Bella. Given, she isn't the one picking out the dress, if she were to meet Edward in his natural age and time (before he changed), it would be around 1920s or so, the era that both the ring and the dress embrace.
At least that's what I think. lol
Anyways, that dress is my favorite of the bunch. Tally my vote up for that one!
I'm dying with laughter right now because several of the things you said above that you didn't really like, describe my wedding dress.
I love the one by Monique L. Has more of an old fashioned feel to it. And it looks more “Bella” than the rest.
I think Bella would hurt herself in the one above. It's too much dress for her.
LOL
thanks i'll work on it it's just an idea i really love the one that i said b4 so beautiful i was like crying for real when i fist saw it i saw kris/bella wearing it robward lifting the vail * water works* oh there i go again lol
All of these dresses are soooo gorgeous!
I suppose they will want there own touch. As long as its not some crazy modern thing. Or can you imagain the horror of TwiFans everywhere if it was black and red and goth like would be expected in some other vamp movie. Lol that will never happen we wouldn't allow it
Sent on the TELUS Mobility network with BlackBerry
Dont complain, poor Will is the only one posting and so it must be hard for him to keep up!
As for the dresses….the first one is way way way too extravagant. Its supposed to be simple and classic with a modern twist to it. And even though Alice picked it she would have kept in mind that Bella doesnt like anything too showy!
Therefore i definitly like the 2nd dress, Monique Lhullier, and the Lela Rose dress the most.
i love the second one too!!!! it so beautiful. its bella beautiful.
thats why its monique lhuillier.
shes just a wonderful designer… she nailed the look… cant wait to see what bella wears! sooo excited for BD….. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHhh lol
thnk you i'll work on some other ones too just to see it has to be perfect it is THE dress ya know
YEAH BUT THEY HAVE TO GO WITH WHAT FITS THE ACTORS BODY.
(EX: THE BLUE DRESS IN TWILIGHT).
I looked up the description of the dress in the book. White, shiny, vintage lace, train, veil, Anne of Green Gables, centered around 1918. Edwardian Era.
I thought Erin Fetherston and Moniqu Lhilliers and Lela Rose's dresses were the only ones REMOTELY close..
The ones who clearly did not pick up the books to read them were Posen (Pink???), Sirano (off the shoulder???) Gurung (low cut back) and Reyes (youthful??)….
I REALLY REALLY REALLY HOPE they get some fashion historians to come on board and help them out!!!
I DISAGREE WITH WHAT SOME PEOPLE POSTED…
THEY STYLIST HAVE TO GO WITH WHAT FITS KRISTEN'S FIGURE…THEY CAN'T JUST THROW STUFF ON HERE THAT MAY SEEM LIKE BELLA IN THE BOOK AND ALL….
THEY PICK WHAT LOOKS GOOD ON HER BUT WITH THE STATE OF MIND THAT BELLA WOULD/WOULD NOT WEAR THIS..
This slideshow is great of Edward & Bella/Rob&Kris.
http://www.twifans.com/photo/photo/slideshow?fe...
I liked the Monique and Lela Rose dresses the best. From that list anyway.
This one is my ALL TIME FAVORITE:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/uptowngirl61/22142...
Out of all of them the Lela Rose is my personal fave – sophisticated, classic yet modern and not over the top – not sure if it meets the description from the book but out of the selections shown it is the best
I LOVE Christian!! He was my favorite on Project Runway! I was so happy when he won! Now to the dress:
I really like it! I think it would be better for Rosalie in the flashback scene though… it seems more like her. But then again, Alice probably got Bella to wear a really girly dress (i don't really remember). I really like it, like it A LOT!
I saw the second one and thought it was perfect, then saw the third and thought that would be perfect. Definatley one of those.
I love CHRISTIAN!
That's how I got “FIERCE” from.
All of the dresses look AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL.
However, it's not the style I was imagining when I read the book.
I wish they could just take materials from each wedding gown and mix it up together– I DON'T KNOW.
I'm not an expert at this and don't know how that's gonna turn out.
But whatever, and you know what? If I weren't a fan of Twilight, I would have never thought I would be thinking things like this. Deciding and over-analyzing what wedding dress an actress should wear for a movie?
Oh, Twilight… What have you done to me…?

Dammit. WTF Disqus? What's up with the double posting.
non of them is right!!! u see Alice didnt mess withe the all “lets make it modern” s*it! i think it should be more true to the 1900 style!
eh, too out there, in my opinion. i mean, dont get me wrong, the dress is pretty. just not bella.
I like the one made by Monique Lhuillier the best! http://www.instyle.com/instyle/package/general/...
It so elegant with the high neck and the beautiful veil… *sighs dreamily*
Thats what I thought immediately. Stephenie is very descriptive about the dress in the book. Its slightly old fashioned and has alot to do with Bella's vision of her and edward as characters in an Anne of Green Gables novel. That dress is way too high fashion. HAs no-one working on these films bothered to read the freaking masterpiece that is the Twilight saga? Is it so hard to sit down with stephenie and ask her to approve the designs?
First BDH in a horrid wig and now this.
That's my favorite, too. So dreamy!
Hey there, btw. How have you been?
Hi, I think the Prabal Gurung matches the description/image the book creates the most. The Monique L is also nice but Prabal seems to have paid the most attention to the book.
had a look through the in style selection and i think numbers 2 and 7 fit the description in the book best
The dress looks awesome and I just love Christian!
Ok, here's the thing….are they REALLY going to go for a 1900s style dress for the movie version? The reasoning behind that in the books was that Alice wanted to have an old fashioned dress to fit the old fashioned Edward. However, in the movie, Edward was very modern, i.e. “the square root of pi”, “to get to the other side”, “spider monkey”, and my personal favorite “google it.” Also, for New Moon (movie), they have Bella wearing a cute green dress to her birthday party, when clearly in the book she is wearing jeans and a plain blue shirt. Also, in Twilight (movie) she is wearing leggings under her prom dress as well as tennis shoes, when in the book she has no leggings, and is wearing strappy high heels. Something tells me they will be taking these same liberties in Breaking Dawn when it comes to the wedding dress selection….

Oh my Gosh, I REALLY hope she doesn't wear converse again with ANY dress! Isn't she wearing them with that green dress for her birthday party in New Moon? What's UP with that? That's totally Kristen Stewart's style, NOT Bella's! Ugh.
He isabelle!
I've been fine, thanks for asking
I had a wonderful weekend. I went sailing with family on the Ijsselmeer (it's a lake in the north of the Netherlands). And the weather was sunny, so I even got to work on my tan a bit
How are you? What did you think about the fanfic I mailed you?
So glad someone else feels the same way. I hated the Converse with the dress. Actually for the most part I really liked the way Bella was dressed in Twilight except for this one major blooper.
Double Ugh!
Dont worry Nutty, I forgot that part too.
Cant say it registered as such a significant moment for me to be honest. LOL
Honestly it doesnt matter who the designer is as long as the dress looks right. At this rate, we'll see Bella going down the aisle in bloody chuck taylors!
hey cool, I've been sailing on the Ijsselmeer, awww.. now I'm jealous. i love boating.
The weather here is crappy. Boo.
Good point, and you are probably right about that. Modern, but understated would be my guess, and would certainly fit the on screen Bella vision.
SHRUGS…..in the end, it's really no big deal…as long as Breaking Dawn gets made.
I am wondering if there are more wedding dress sketches that were submitted besides the 10 they show here because I would like to see more sketch styles, especially ones in which the dress poofs out from the waste down with a long train. Also, I would want to see only white dresses instead of these off-white dresses. Bella is suppose to be a virgin and the whiter her gown is, the more symbolic of her virginity at least from Edward's “old-fashioned” point of view. More importantly, I wonder if Summit would entertain the idea of allowing a Twilight Fans to vote for the best dress that will be used in Breaking Dawn. I think that would be a great idea to allow people to vote on which dress they like the best and that would look the best on Kristen Stewart. I hope they will consider and realize how much excitement and publicity they would gain from going forward with this idea.
I agree. Monique or Lela. The others were just so off. Don't even wan to mention that Bone Coloured ( ! ) thing by reyes.
I know that the designers need their own touch but it also lends to the character of the novels. Bella would never wear something like that. She hates attention.
Sigh… are these movies just becoming about the hype and so-called celebrities and forgetting the story?
The Monique Lhuillier seems very close to what I pictured based on description in book.
#2 is the one i think is the best for bella
Out of the 10 dresses, the only two I like were #7 and #8. However, I did not like the color of #7; I would rather see #7 in white. I still believe that Summit should insist dress designers to follow more closely with what Stephenie Meyer describes in Breaking Dawn. I also like the idea of a contest in which the fans get to vote online for their favorite dress and hope Summit will consider such an idea.
seriously… i don't recall anything about vintage lace.. i'm going to draw and post my own interpretation.. see what you guys think. this is driving me crazy..
LOL! really? then what got you into the books? wait a minute…carlisle right?
i personally dont care for E/B sorry y'all. all i care about is seeing some half-nekkid men running around LOL ;D
I'm with you…as long as it gets made, it doesn't really matter in the end what her dress looks like. I have noticed that some people get very upset when every little detail isn't EXACTLY like the book. What they fail to realize, however, is that is nearly impossible unless the movie is 5 hours long, or possibly even longer.
I do, however, think that this was a cool thing for In Style to do. It's just showing how mainstream Twilight really is, and that it's NOT just for Twi Hard Fan Girls. : )
LOL, yeah those converse have GOT TO GO! At least, not with dresses ANYMORE!
I thought she dressed kinda boring. I mean, I know in the books her clothing was simple and not trendy or flashy or anything. But C'MON!!! This is the MOVIES!! We like the visual, you know? It looks like her clothes in New Moon might be slightly better.
*crosses fingers*
I think the second one with the tank style bodice in the white/silver.
i think the dress should be simple ,suttle
something snazzy but not to snazzy if u get wot i mean
it has to portray bella's “no fuss” side
I don't think they ever read the story.. or care.. Part of being a design professsional is working within guidelines…
How would Superman look in a pair of shorts and a ratty t-shirt???
ok here's what i think… simple satin. pretty. elegant. word.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/36257248@N04/38567...
not the dress that i imajend at AAAlll !!
i hope they go for the discription of S.mayer
yeah, but i dont think they'd really do that! but then again LOVES CHASKE *points to comment down there* said there might be a slight possibility that they DO screw it up!
But yeah, designers dont really matter to me, but Christian is just so cool! So it'd be like — a combination of amazing designing and a cool person.
i REALLY hope that they dont screw it up! and some of those things that you're mentioning are little things, at least they didnt like cut out the Edward leaving or Wolf pack! THAT would be stupid…and we all know that MR is a terrible screenwriter unless the director steps in!
Actually it's the dangerous element that I loved about the book. Being an old fashioned romantic, I fell for the love story that transcends everything, the intense bond between two people despite it being incredibly dangerous for both of them. The fact that these two characters shouldn't actually come together at all. And the sex side of it was just an extension of that for me. There are a million books out there where you can get far more interesting 'sexy time' LOL.
Oh and I do LOVE Carlisle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
which is also helped a lot by peter right?
yes for me it was that too. i just love forbidden love stories.
It also had a high neck and buttoned up the back.
Alice told Bella in her closet that the lace was vintage and that part of the dress was her own design.
definitely helped by Peter!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is so gorgeous and hot and lovely and friendly and cool and and and………………….. LMAO
and just hot? LOL
*bites nails*
I'm scared… VERY scared!
http://img2.timeinc.net/instyle/images/2009/Gal...
i liked that one^^^ the best, closest to how i imagined it.
Defiantly agree with the historian
also agree with your superman comment you made below but for some reason cant comment on it there
add the lace and I'd totally vote for yours!
I so didn't like that blue dress in Twilight. My friends and I all simultaneously went yuck when she came down the stairs. to each his own
I have a hard time deciding between the Lela Rose and Erin Fetherston dress. However, I'd have to pick the Lela Rose dress because they incorporated both the train and lace close to how I imagined it to be. I'd rather the train be connected to the dress though, and not a separate piece sewn on the lower back.
hey ECC!! From that list i love the Lela Rose dress the best too!
YAY!! you still have that like to our favorite dress!! we seriously need to figure out a way to suggest that to like the wardrobe people of the Twilight saga! lol
Hey! I did one better and saved our dress to my computer! I just got home from work, did I miss any news??
Really?!! Awesome!!! ummm i don't think sooo… nothing too exciting anyways!! lol.
(i still think our dress is the best!)
OMG
THAT LOOKS AMAZING!
i kinda want it for myself now…lol
yeah, my fave out of that list was that one too! Lela Rose did an awesome sketch!
i love the lace on it…. like described!
oh and i wanted to ask you if you thought this was over the line…. so i was on another website earlier and they were doing the same thing we were with finding rings and dresses and stuff, but then, they out did us and started looking for Bella's hairstyle for the wedding!!! i think we should look too! i looked back in Breaking Dawn when Alice and Rosalie are doing Bella's hair and Alice says to Rosalie “You can start braiding. I want it intricate. The veil goes here, underneath.” soo what do you think about this??
http://www.celebrityweddingbuzz.com/photos/unca...
the top style! not the bottom. or something like it… i will keep searching!!
omg I am appalled at the audacity!! haha no seriously after I read this I started searching for hairstyles and found this one:
I know it doesn't have any braids, I thought it was pretty though.
http://z.hubpages.com/u/11769_f260.jpg
I liked the one you found too.
Ok I'm just gonna start posting links like mad.

We forgot about her shoes! I'll have to check the book again to see how they're described.
you think they should be modern or vintage?
OOOHHH!!! thats pretty!! i love it!
OMG we did forget about the shoes!! ummm were they even described in the book?? well… we should match the shoes with our dress we picked!
good idea??
I love all those!!! i found these a couple mins ago, but you beat me to them!!
Shoes from the early 1900s. They need to be a different color of course.

hehe. that one i think is so pretty!
Yes! I just posted a link to a pair of boots I found. I think they kick ass. They don't go WITH the dress per se, but it would be a little edgy since Kristen always pairs dresses with converse. Just an idea.
Lol the second one is Jenna Bush!!! It is pretty though.
I like the first one the best.
OMG i didn't even notice that was Jenna Bush!! LOL
i know the first one is so elegant!
okay we need to decide on hair so these are the ones i narrowed it to:

omg I am appalled at the audacity!! haha no seriously after I read this I started searching for hairstyles and found this one:
I know it doesn't have any braids, I thought it was pretty though.

oh crap… seriously?! awesome.. thank you!! i totally remember the lace now lol..
Thanks. I am a graphic designer and its are job to work within boundaries. We have to make the best of the limitations.. as it were.
I think designers get too full of themselves.. they cast aside the context and design what they would WANT.
That's part of good design.. What WORKS is not always what the client (or designer) WANTS….
Spot on! I REALLY REALLY hope that the costume designers do their homework and read the book!!! I hope Stephenie puts her foot down on this one and insists on book integrity!!!
are you kidding me…
the dress that is described in the book isn't for kristen's body type and on screen it would have looked horriable…
the blue dress was beautiful…and everyone that i talked to loved it.
don't like the dress, supose to be simple and elagant!!!!!
this dress is not eighter!!!
don't think soo
Really I thought the closest of all of them was Max Azrias dress.. He focused on the vintage and lace like the book does. It even has the high neck and the shoulders like she dreams of…
Personally, I kept invisioning my best friends gown at her wedding. It was described just like the one in the book. OLD VINTAGE HIGH NECK, like anne of green gables lol
its nice an all but its all wrong in the book she had a simple and kinda old fashioned this is no were near it read the books first if ya gonna design for it
Yes, Lela Rose was the best with Christian Siriano following very close behind. Lela Rose was just more of what I pictured and she seemed to have read the book if not the least read the wedding discription. I pictured it with the lace neck and sleeveless. Hers was the only one that made me go *ahh. that seems parfect*
Siriano's is stunning too and more modern while Rose's is elegant and more vintage and classy and not to show-offy.
I hope something similar to both of the designs appears in the movie.

I think they should have a contest for a fan to design it. What do y'all think?

I really like Erin Fetherston's design the best!

I don't like any of them really.
All in favor of a design contest say AYE!
cool….is there any way younger designers would be able to maybe enter their designs in order for it to be used in the movie? I want to be a fashion designer and it would be a great experience to design the dress that Kristen would wear at the wedding in the film! Please comment back!

It definitely needs lace and details but I love the overall shape and silhouette…thats kinda how I pictured it
