With just a few offbeat Australian flicks under his belt, the sandy-haired 26-year-old had been chosen to play newborn vampire Riley, the latest heartthrob in The Twilight Saga. Almost instantaneously he was being hailed as Robert Pattinson’s doppelgänger and couldn’t get coffee without seeing flashbulbs.

“It was all very sudden, not just with the paparazzi but also with being cast in general,” says Xavier, who’s been acting since high school. “I did an audition from Sydney on tape. Then I got word that it was down to four guys—and that I was one of them.”

    He's definately a cutie… but he's still no Rob in my book! Kind of erks me that they keep comparing them. No comparison! Xavier is way cuter in real like then dressed as Riley, but I think Rob is cuter in real life then dressed as Edward. It has something to do with that white make-up and those vampire eyes!

    I didnt know how I felt about this guy being in the movie but after seeing the Eclipse trailer…..Holy Crap! I have no doubts haha! He looks good as a bad vamp, too bad he's not in more of the movie :(

    It seems as if they have the proposal down from the clips, trailer, etc. I know they filmed graduation and the party…I am just hoping we don't get the lack of romantic scenes as was the case in NM.
