Eclipse easternconferencechampions 280x187 Interview With Eastern Conference Champions Off The Twilight Saga Eclipse Soundtrack eclipse soundtrack Bitchin’ Lifestyle  interviewed Eastern Conference Champions recently.  Their song ”A Million Miles an Hour” is featured on The Twilight Saga Eclipse Soundtrack.   ECC talked about being a part of the Eclipse soundtrack and how they would react if they had Robert Pattinson’s level of fame.

Greg Lyons, Joshua Ostrander and Melissa Dougherty are about get a feel of just how powerful Twilight fans really are. While you may not have heard of a band called Eastern Conference Champions just yet, you will soon enough. Snagging a spot on the newly released ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ soundtrack, their song ‘A Million Miles An Hour’ is but one of their already amazing collection of accomplishments.

Bitchin’ Lifestyle chatted with ECC drummer Greg Lyons about the scarcity of soft pretzels in Los Angeles and got the 411 on how they are a part of the most widely talked about movie franchise around.

BL: How did ECC get involved with Twilight – are you aware of what a big deal it is?

GL:  The Twilight thing was months of hard work for us, lots of stress, lots of hearing “maybe” and all that. We knew we had a chance but we also knew that hundreds of other bands – most of whom were more well known than ECC – were going for it as well. When we got the placement the three of us knew it would be a big deal but probably didn’t anticipate how big it actually is.

BL: Robert Pattinson has legions of ravenous female fans willing to sell their first born for chance at meeting him, how do you think you all would react to such a level of fame?

GL:  We would cower and cry in a dark corner.

BL: Tell us about “A Million Miles An Hour” – what’s the song about?

GL: The song came together in a late night recording session just hours before we were leaving for Las Vegas to celebrate Josh’s birthday. It’s about how we feel we’re able to turn it up and come through with what we need to do at any given time and also about the never ending “hurry up and wait” moments that happen.

BL: What would you say are your musical influences? If you had to choose, which musical decade would you want to be a part of?

GL: We all grew up on a variety of music ranging from The Stones and The Beatles to The Pixies and The Jesus and Mary Chain, to anything and everything else.  As long as the music is good, we’ll like it.  This decade works fine for us as long as it has room for ECC.

This is random buuut…is anybody else getting a popup advertisement at the bottom of this screen on this site??? It is driving me CRAZY!!! :-(

On a happier note, I love the diversity of the artists on these soundtracks and I'm loving all of the Eclipse promo coverage :-)

Cower in a corner and cry!
    Sounds about right….haha!

When I heard their name, I just KNEW they were from Philly (I'm a big Flyers and hockey fan). This interview confirmed it. That song is phenomenal!

I'm giving it a trial run–I don't want to make any advertisements on the site too obtrusive. If enough people don't like it, I'll remove it. Unfortunately my server bills are through-the-roof right now. But I want to keep my readers happy =). Respond back if it's bugging the heck outta ya.

I'll try making it so it will close permanently after being closed once, and will auto-hide after a few seconds. Read my other post in this thread for more info. Defintely want feedback–I'm trying it out and not sure I'll be keeping it if it's to obtrusive for readers.

Ok made some changes so it should only pop up once, And stay permantly closed if you close manually, and auto-close after a bit. Hopefully that makes it less annoying. But keep the feedback coming!

    haha thankss =)

“Heavy In Your Arms” is really growing in me. I like “Chop & Change” and “Rolling in on a Burning Tire”

I'm with everyone else in regards to the pop-up on the bottom.

Tis cool. If keeping the ads means keeping this site up, I'm all for it. I love getting all of my news here, and I guess I forget that running a site as big as this isn't free :-/

Anyway, the new settings are awesome, and thanks for responding to me :-)

Thanks for the feedback–I really try to keep the ads as unobtrusive as possible while still affording to pay for server bills and everything else that goes into making the site. I've avoided pop-ups and pop-unders and “ads between pages” for this very reason.

  • Whitneee (aka CB's Angel) 3/09

I am actually lured in by some of the sidebar ads on here (because I have no restraint or shame LOL), so the twi advertising is working :-)

It's never been annoying, I was just starting to think that my popup protection wasn't working or something. I love the layout of this site and I love that the ads all stay in the same place; it looks very professional. A lot of twi-sites look like they were put together on a typewriter and have random ads floating around the pages, but your sites are very clean and neat. Thanks again for welcoming our input
    :-)
