Eclipse 200906141201 Interview with Eclipse Director David Slade david slade David Slade, who will be directing the sequel to New Moon, Eclipse, has a new interview with Fearnet. He says–

What will differ about Slade’s Twilight? “I don’t really know. We haven’t even started shooting yet.” While the director says he has a basic idea of what he wants to do with it, he is more concerned with telling a good story than being “different.” “It is darker, and there is a lot more action than the previous two,” he admits. “The third book is from Bella’s point of view, but the film will be more objective.” And just how will he do that? “We are going to focus on the origin stories of several characters, like Jasper, and show how Bella will decide between Edward and Jacob.”

Hold on to your seat belts, cause he is going to make those newborns scary. Bet you anything instead of reading the headlines in the newspaper like the book we will see those people getting killed or at least getting pulled or dragged into the dark muahaha.

Maybe we shouldn't be worrying that much. Stephenie Meyer's got a “veto” in the whole thing… We should trust her that she won't let Eclipse get too scary (we should think of the TwiMoms and TwiGrans- or whatever they are called) and I think she wouldn't want the Edward and Bella moments to get lost… Cause that's what everyone's been worried about at the Newmoonmovie page…

If they doesn't show Jasper's story… he will have something to worry about!!

yes, that's something essential. Mrs Rosenberg seems to have a different version of the books…
Maybe she doesn't understand that SM wrote the books and she must try to be faithful to them!!

I hope she treats Jasper/Alice's story with respect.

Don't worry Jasper's history is in there because they are casting for Maria and Maria was the lady who changed him

There are some things that I feel positive David will do right, but there are some other things I;m still not sure about. I'll have to keep an open mind.

What does he mean, that the book was written for 15 yr old girls?!?!!! There are alot of older fans out there. It is a book for all ages. I hope he doesn't think this is some teenage chick flick!

i don't know what it is, maybe it's because the photo is grayscale, but he scares me. Like the intensity of his eyes or something..*shudder*

From an outsiders point of view, one can understand but onces you read these books, and know the characters, one has to backtrack that, we have a girl whose boyfriend has faught the impluse of killing her, now we have the dark history of Rosalie who was gang raped and we have Jasper's dark past on why is harder for him to not hunt humans. Stephenie does not go for the gore but for the scary, I mean she did write a novel based on vampires, not Disney characters, so they have to be scary.

I don't think we will have to worry one thing see despite the mix reviews about 30s days of Night, alot of people did say he kept true to the graphic novel and one of the elements was the relationship between the sheriff played by Josh Harnett and his wife Stella.

Hope your right….the Twilight saga is an ultimate romance so hopefully he dosen't get carried away with the action scenes to forget that!! However, I do want to see good action scenes as well!

You all have made some great comments, but I have to say this guy just does not feel right…. maybe its just me but he seem a little full of himself and I'm afraid he will put his own movie together and bully everyone else into his way of thinking

Not really 30s Days of Night was made just like the graphic novel. So unlike Catherine, despite being a fan messed up some parts, I think David like Chris is going to keep it close to the book, although from a movie goers point of view, I think we will be getting a thrill of seeing the people in Seattle getting killed without knowing what it is, and hey it is in the book, we see the fight between the wolves, the Cullens, vs the newborn army is in the book. I'm sure the relationship between Bella and Edward is going to be given the adult treatment.

But how can they go adult when every tween is wetting there pants trying to see Rob I wish they could treat the last 2 movies with an adult theme otherwise we may be left with a slightly dull tween movie

That would be awesome to see some of the people get attacked instead of just having the whole movie from bella's point of view. I'd rather see it all go down thatn have Bella just read or hear about it.

I know. I don't want them to sugar coat these movies thinking they are just for teens. I wish they were going to be Rated R…but they can make some adult-like scenes and still be PG-13 (the notebook has love scenes for example on a pg-13 movie) Hopefully they will make an extended cut for DVD for all us adults that don't mind seeing a little skin and violence.

You just wanna see Rob get all hot and heavy!!!! But I agree, I wouldn't mind a more adult Eclipse.

Alot of Adult themed movies are PG-13, hey movies like Obsessed which was today's Fatal Attraction was PG-13 and TAKEN, with Liam Neeson who's daughter gets kidnapped in Paris and almost sold to the sex slave trade is also believe it or not PG-13 and good call about the Notebook's racy love scene despite the rating, So my beef isn't PG-13, all the Pirates of the Caribbean were PG-13 and some pretty hardcore stuff happened there. We can take seeing the Cold Woman massacring the Quilete villagers.

wow. Taken was such a great movie…they just don't make them like that anymore. I am usually very unimpressed with movies lately. Maybe one great one I will see in a year that I actually would buy….and I'm a movie freak (I watch them all the time). You're right they can totally keep all this PG-13….I think alot of the time movies get an R rating just for language…which is unnecessary in our Twilight Saga!

What a conicidence on Friday they were given 30 Days at Night and I had a chance to see it again and analyze what look David would give Eclipse and one thing I was pleased is how you care for the characters, and he does get small town folks, how everyone knows everyone. Which is perfect for Forks. And other thing, I see Eclipse as the darker fairy tale, Victoria is out to destroy Bella, just like the Queen of Snowwhite wanted to do Snow White. And remember we have the seduction scene and we have the scene where Edward and Bella almost make love in the meadow. And we can see that Mr Slade is not squmish to the blood and gore. So we can asume there won't be any sugar coating whatsoever.

Remember there is going to be alot of more kissing in Eclipse and not just quit little pecks, I mean we are going to be seeing some heavy duty make out sections between Edward and Bella.

1. They kiss when she is about to answer her mom's mail
2.They kiss when he gets back from hunting with his brothers
3.They kiss when before she asks to be dropped off La Push ( he even sits her on the kitchen counter hot stuff)
4. Graduation, three times
5.The big seduction scene where Bella tries seducing Edward, and when he offically proposes
6.After Bella kisses Jacob, she urges Edward to fight back, and uses Eddie as a breath mint No offense to Jake lovers, but everytime I read that it feels like Bella is making out with her own brother.
7. When Edward “gives in” to what Bella wants no strings attached.

Yep we may require to bring a bid.

lol vampgirl I dare say they will hand out bids and wipes to help will all the drool. I can't wait for new moon to come out but then to be getting updates of Eclipse as soon as Aug that will really be unholy man can't wait

I think they gotten the directos that fit each movie.

CH- I know there are those who loved the Twilight Movie, and those who strongly disliked it, but it was the first movie and it introduced you to the characters

CW- for New Moon, there is alot more going on here, the wolves come into the story and also the true villians of the saga make their debut

DS-Eclipse it's darker, edgier, the wolves and the Cullens join forces against Victoria and her newborns, the final show down between Victoria and Edward (winner for best fight right here), the reason behind the cold war between the wolves and the vampires. And ofcoarse Bella finally decides to agree to Edward's terms.

now all we need is who will be chosen to direct Breaking Dawn, there are those of us who would love for CW to come back and finish the saga for us, If he is availabe
