This time it’s hottie Jackson Rathbone who plays human blood thirsty Jasper Hale in the saga. Here Jackson tells about Jasper’s back story.

PW: So is it difficult then to play Jasper over the course of five films?

Jackson: The thing I like about Jasper’s arc is that it’s very developed — you don’t know much about him in the first film. He’s always in pain but don’t know why, until the second film, when you realize that he’s the newest to the family and he’s basically dying of hunger. It’s very difficult to live that vampryic lifestyle. So he’s having trouble adjusting. In the third film, we get to see Jasper’s backstory – see who he used to be and why he’s having such a hard time transitioning.

PW: So “Eclipse” will flashback to his time in The Civil War?

Jackson: Yeah. We do a little segue/backstory in “Eclipse”,when he was turned during the Civil War. We get to see his more aggressive tendencies. When you’re first turned into a vampire, that’s when you’re at your most ravenous, most vicious – so you see Jasper go through that. It was a lot of fun to bring out the darker side of Jasper.

I cannot wait for this film! I’m particularly interested in Rosalie & Jasper’s stories the most. FYI that’s the real Jasper Hale hair.^^

I wish they had kept the same look for all the movies, they are vampires for crying out loud, they are frozen in time. The Bouffant did make an appearance in the beginning before the disastrous birthday party.

Now there is a fight I would love to see Maria vs Alice, question how come their vampires friends who show up in Breaking Dawn, didn't show up to help them with Victoria? is it because they are fed up with the Volturi?

The ficitional story in Forks is that Jasper is Rosalie's twin brother and that is why he adopted her last name. They pretend to be Esme's orphaned Niece and nephew. Edward, Emmette and Alice pretend to be the siblings.

I am also looking forward to the beginning of the friendship between Bella and Rosalie. But Jasper's backstory always made me appreciate his will power once I reread the series.

Rosalie looked hot in New Moon they all did, except for poor Jasper. The problem with Edward's look, he didn't look seventeen, in the school he did but in the party, he looked 23, yes Rob is 23, Edward is forever 17 people! they should had kept the bouffant like in the prom.

I did really like that flashback scene, because for just those few frames,
Rosalie looked “human”. Not aloof and pissed off all the time. I noticed
