In order to be a REGISTERED native american, you have to have a card. BOO BOO does not have. I know many people who have native american in their blood. HEC alot people have alot of different heritages. BUT the issue is SUMMIT demanded to SEE the cards that the current wolf pack have. BOO BOO does not have a card. HIS Family is not registered with any tribe. THAT is why SUmmit will not release a tribe name. Do not insult us real native americans. OUR cards are precious to us and make sure our kids get them too. Boo Boo has never set foot on a REZ nor has done anything for ANY native american community. He is an adorable kid WHO happens to not have proof to back up his what like 5 generations ago if that one of his grandfathers had blackfoot in them? Hey the others had TO SHOW paperwork. I think it it wrong that he didnt have to show paperwork. Summit goofed. But you must be a Hard core fan who doesnt want to upset their perfect little world of TWilight and admit that SUMMIT is practicing discrimination against real native americans. I have seen posts regarding Boo Boo’s heritage and he avoids the topic completely and will not comment on his paperwork. The thing is if Summit did not want to hire real native americans in the first place, that was fine. They was their right. BUT when you force a group of human beings to prove they are from a certain race, then the same standards should be held for all the actors to be cast in the same type of roles. Boo Boo no matter how bad you want him to be, DOES NOT HAVE paperwork proving he his native american. That is not a bad thing, except for the fact the SUMMIT demanded to See the other real native american actors real paperwork before being casted. Unfortunately for him, he does not have any. Summit made a big goof. BUT i think it was more David Slades call. The casting dept followed his guidelines. So it is not REne Haynes fault either. Chris Weitz will not comment on David Slades casting guidelines.

Everything that I have seen says that Boo Boo Stewart is a Black Foot. Summit did not insist that the people cast in the Quileute parts have a CARD, just that they could trace their ancestry back to Native Americans.

After all, TAYLOR LAUTNER does not have a card, and was not even sure that he had any Native blood at all, until Summit did his ancestry chart and proved that he was!

Also, Alex Meraz is not registered with an American tribe, as his tribe is not American it’s Mexican. He is Purpechua, and in Mexico they don’t even really have a registry for indigenous people, you just find it out through your genealogy chart or from what family history has been passed down from person to person.

I know this, because my son has Kickapoo ancestory (both grandparents on his dad’s side were Kickapoos from Muzquiz, Coahuila), but on the Mexico side, not the American side. He cannot get a card, because he is not on the American registry. His family looks EXACTLY like pictures of the Kickapoos in Eagle Pass, Texas (this is a border area), but he cannot prove he is Kickapoo, because his relatives lived on the Mexican side.

So, basically your idea Summit making all Quileute cast members show their Native American registry card is false. Yes, if they have one, that just made things easier for Summit to prove their ancestry, but if they said that they were Native and could prove it through GENEOLOGY, Summit accepted that, too. Which Taylor did AND Boo Boo did. Alex Meraz, also.

I understand that you want Native Americans in Native American roles, so do I! But just because someone is not a registered tribal member, does not mean that they don’t have Native blood, and Summit did not insist on all cast members having a card, they just insisted on them being able to prove their ancestry.

I am not insulting anyone by saying that Boo Boo is Native. In fact, you are being insulting to me by saying that I am being ridiculous. My kids are Native themselves, as I said, one of my sons has Kickapoo blood, and one has Aztec blood. So I love Native American people (and yes, if they are from Mexico, they are still Native AMERICANS, because Mexico is part of the American continent, just like Canada is, and also their were no country borders for centuries, until the Europeans came.) Also, I teach Hispanic kids, and many of them have almond shaped eyes like Boo Boo’s. His are a more prominent, I’m sure, because he also has Asian blood, but many Native people have almond shaped eyes like his.

I will reiterate, Boo Boo may not have a registry card, but NEITHER DOES TAYLOR the MAIN wolf/Quileute in the whole story (do you want to get rid of him, too? I SURELY do not! And most likely Alex Meraz doesn’t have one either, as his family is from Mexico.) So your whole idea about getting offended because “everyone had to show their card except Boo Boo” is false. Sorry.

And about Boo Boo never setting foot on a Rez, neither had Taylor until they started filming Twilight. That has nothing to do with having Native Ancestry. I am 1/2 Italian, so because I have never been to Italy that makes me LESS Italian? Sorry, but your attempt at logic is not logical.

Boo Boo is going to make an awesome Seth. I am sorry that the person who you preferred to get the part didn’t get it, but that does not give you the right to come down on Boo Boo and set higher standards for him than you do for Taylor. They both are gonna’ be AWESOME. Period.

The one that is setting a double standard is you, not Summit. Summit clearly states that Boo Boo is Blackfoot. He may not have a tribal card, but he has the geneology to prove it.

trust me boo boo stewart looks so so so different now from that picture he just turned 16 like a month 2 almost 2 months ago and i am tellin you when that boy cutt his hair from long to short he gained a hole bunch he is darker and hotter and he is more buffer when he lost his hair he gained puberty
