Kellan Lutz On ‘Breaking Dawn’ In 3D!

Kellan Lutz appeared at the Cosmopolitan Magazine’s Fun Fearless Men 2010 party and chatted with MTV about Breaking Dawn in 3D.

“I heard they were talking about it. I don’t really care to see it in 3-D,” he told MTV News on the red carpet at Cosmopolitan magazine’s 2010 Fun Fearless Males party on Monday night in New York City.

Like Pattinson, Lutz isn’t a big fan of movies filmed in multiple dimensions. “3-D kind of hurts my eyes anyways. ‘Avatar’ was amazing in 3-D and in IMAX, but I don’t think I wanna see a little baby half-vampire in 3-D,” he said, echoing a similar sentiment made by Stewart. “There’s just some scenes I just wouldn’t want to see in 3-D.”

And with no formal announcement that more movies will be shot from the “Twilight Saga,” Lutz is in favor of breaking the book up into two flicks with “New Moon” helmer Chris Weitz back in the director’s chair, if the film should get the green light. “I’d love to see Chris Weitz come back,” he said late last year. “I just had so much fun shooting with him. I mean, obviously I would just love to do ['Breaking Dawn']. There’s no word. … Hopefully we get that phone call, and if they want to make it into five movies, I just don’t want it to end. I love my character so much.”

OK, I don’t think I want to see Breaking Dawn in 3D either BUT I wouldn’t mind seeing it on IMAX! Especially the honeymoons!

o i know they cant start over again BECAUSE they are in the mid of post. I just hope they credit him too. he is the one who started the process. usually if someone gets fired in the show buzz they will not credit them meaning they will delete the name from the credits refuse to pay the person and so on. it can and will get ugly at times. i wish scummit wish just smart enough to hired both and pay both and credit both. i dont know if this is their plan i dont think so because they would stated something like “Eclipse is adding a editor to the team” and not “Eclipse replaces editor with the one from Twilight” most movies and the really great ones like titanic, avatar, lotr and several other have had two or more film editors and not just assistants. Its clear that Art has some experience mainly in action with 30 days, etc. And Nancy yes has a lot of experience but all of it is in Drama/Romance/teen boppers. As one reporter pointed out her most action films was Step Up, Twilight, and Lords of Dogtown. AND thoses only had a few very mild action scenes ballet studio was her most intense scene. I just wish since he start the editing he should not get completely “fired” he should get partial credit and paid the amount owned and i doubt Scummit is or will pay him. and more importantly scummit needs to release a official statement and reassure us they didnt f*** up too much. Credit is do where credit was done. There are even a few movies where there are two or more editors and in the credits and on IMDb it was written out like Editor(Romance), Editor(Action), Editor(Special Effects) and yes they all had assistants and they were labeled that way too. They should do that with Eclipse. Because honestly it is not Art' fault complete he DOES take order from DS and Scummit. Yes twilight was good in compare to new moon when it came to going from one scene to the next. the editor job is also pacing and twilight was alot worst then new moon in that. then there the blue tint which also part of a editor's job. well its the editor, director and cinematographer. cinematographer decides tone color, editor makes sure it doesnt overwell the picture by toning down or up among other things and the director overseas all. As a friend of my family pointed out “stronger edit” could mean many things like tightening up a film/making cleaner cuts/pacing issues/tone/mood/balance of elements she basically said it could mean anything depending on the notes given. We meaning the public and even herself will never truly know the only ones who know are thoses on the project. She is a Oscar winning editor. I emailed her about this. She said she was really surprise that the director didnt get fired because its usually both especially if its a team relationship like Art and David. Her best guess was the film has multiple issues and the studio is freaking out and gave notes and there was little to no follow through. There may have even been a issue between David and Art. She said too that they arent going to start over again this closer but she has seen it happen before. She said IT IS EXTREMELY RARE and the film has to be a total kill. She even said that Nancy and Art could work together. She personally knows Nancy called her easy going and great to work with and told to me relax and the film is in good hands. She hasnt talked to Nancy months or maybe years. She has read the reports and she reminded me that they make up things to make it look really bad. She said the fact they do have two editors even though not at the same time may most likely be the best thing for the film. She too thinks they should credit both editors.

New Moon, was ok. but i scratched my head a lot. it had a lot of random moments, it felt rushed. i don't know if CW should take blame cause mr wrote it & he didn't edit it, but he was the director, so he had a say over the final product. even though BD is my least favorite, it needs to be good overall. it has a lot going on yet at the same time not really. i'm not making a bit of sense right now. lol

no, you are. yes it was SO rushed. i was very disappointed. its my fave book too.
BD has to be great cos its one of my faves besides new moon.

im not saying which i prefer or what they should do, only what adora scott said who obviously knows more about this than i do. but yes it would be best to have two. a nice balance of action and romance in two people. as for movie comparisons, well new moon was too rushed. a big disappointment for me. and sure, art jones should get partial credit and some pay its only fair but we really won't know.

“As a friend of my family pointed out “stronger edit” could mean many things like tightening up a film/making cleaner cuts/pacing issues/tone/mood/balance of elements she basically said it could mean anything depending on the notes given. why are things screwing up? cos they've rushed things. filming two movies back to back and handling merchandise, conventions, premieres, promo. its a simple case of: when you rush thing, it turns crappy. but there's still hope.

Yep. I want a good Twilight something we fans can proud of and the film critics wont tear it up but I want it out now. It is being rushed to much. CH signed in late oct 07 had want 5 months of preproduction, 6 weeks of production, 7 months of post production she had to do 2 weeks of reshoots so 6.5. – films have to be “picture locked” about a month before release so really 5.5 months. CW sign on in mid dec 08 had 3 months of preprod., 3 mos to film and 5 mos of post prod. DS sign in late april had 4 mos of perprod., 3 mos to film and 7 mos of post prod. So total time was CH-12 MOS, CW- 11 MOS, and DS-14 MOS so really david was given the most time. hmmm. sorry you probably already knew this or could figure it out I had to write it out for myself. I think Chris did a great job for the 11 months he was given so did CH. Her problem was budget. Chris also has exp. in films like this. I read adora comments after that post took me time to find them. my family friend said something along that line plus more. “when you rush thing, it turns crappy. but there's still hope.” true depending how much they f***ed up. The Last Song just went to picture locked in the last few days so Nancy will have all the time well for 3 mos for Eclipse. My friend comforted me. so i am a little more confident than before. she did say their deadline is May 28 because the 30 is a Sunday and the 31 is a holiday. That and all July 4 holiday movies a due the friday before memorial day. they can ask for an extention up to a week meaning June 4. I just hope and want Scummit to be fair for once. yes everyone makes mistakes we are not all perfect. one thing my friend said was about the “no blame” towards Art she said that means they are blaming him. Why point that out and why fire him so there is some sort of blame game. I dont know I am getting restless because beside a poster, a picture, few interview questions and a pending trailer and leaked scripts and pictures we have had nothing at all. I am a little annoyed about that. so are many others. i want something offical. more than a trailer because honestly we deserve more now.

  • http://www.fanfiction.com/~youroasis MCNutters [Team Nessie!]

yes DS had more time thus the editing should be really good.
but wow gonna their turn in theirs super late?

i dont mind waiting. im sure we'll get pics soon and the trailer next week, definitely.
