Kristen Steward talks about cutting her hair and having a wig for Eclipse.

I have to say the 10 second trailer left me thinking that they just can’t get the wigs right on the Saga but on the actual trailer it really wasn’t that bad… they even pulled out the straightening irons in some scenes!

I do hate that it looks just ok in Eclipse, but if that is what she had to do to get Joan Jett right, then so be it.
If you look at the characters or Bella and Joan Jett which one needs to have their hair for the performance. That is the way I look at it. Besides, most people are fawning over Rob and Taylor anyway. hehe

Any director can decide, Oh Bella just went and got a haircut. Would it change the entire storyline? I don't think so, people. Joan Jett's hair was part of her iconic image. I'm proud of Stewy for making that commitment.

I think the wig in Eclipse looks ok, not as good as her real hair but still ok =) People who arn't fans won't probably notice it's a wig.

And I am not a fan of the mullet, point is: she is right..
Kristen has a way of getting into character
If that is crying in a car before doing a break up scene or cropping your hair short so you can feel the sweat on your face or even hanging out with strippers to get to know the life of her character; it pays off.
Look at her performance in New Moon, look at her performance in (in the small vids I have seen of) The Runaways and I'm betting that her performance in WTTR will be amazing too.
My point is, if all these little things make Kristen get into her character and make her act the way she does: let her be, because she is effing good at it

It's not great, but it's not terrible either and I have to say that would have been the least of my worries. She wanted the mullet to get into character and that's cool.. not many young women can sport one and still look hot!
