Maria has Been Cast in Eclipse: Catalina Sandino Moreno

Eclipse maria eclipse catalina sandino moreno Maria has Been Cast in Eclipse: Catalina Sandino Moreno casting Maria, who tries to create an army of newborn vampires in Eclipse, has just been cast and the role goes to actress Catalina Sandino Moreno.

This according to the RiskyBusuinessBlog, which has been spot-on with earlier breaking stories.

The Colombian-born Sandino Moreno most notably starred in “Grace,” in which she played a pregnant teacher who becomes a drug mule, as well as Steven Soderbergh’s epic “Che” and the upcoming indie drama “Frail,” in which she plays the title character, who’s described as a naive Midwestern girl.

I agree. she’s actually suppose to be a White-Mexican like Ana de la Reguera (google she’s perfect) and Maria has a sister who is a blond like the singer Belinda but this girl looks more how I pictured Emily, besides she’s “Big” when maria suppose to be short pixie form like Alice

OMG Thank you!! I soooooo totally agree with you! I was going off about this to everyone. Why a Columbian for a Mexican, like there aren't enough good Mexican actresses out there. Like you said, no offense to her or anyone Columbian. Its just that she is like the only Mexican character and they had to choose another nationality. Just because Columbian is “hispanic” it isn't the same as Mexican. ….sigh…. I just get so worked up about this. But I am sooo glas someone else feels the same way!
