Eclipse maria eclipse catalina sandino moreno Maria has Been Cast in Eclipse: Catalina Sandino Moreno casting Maria, who tries to create an army of newborn vampires in Eclipse, has just been cast and the role goes to actress Catalina Sandino Moreno.

This according to the RiskyBusuinessBlog, which has been spot-on with earlier breaking stories.

The Colombian-born Sandino Moreno most notably starred in “Grace,” in which she played a pregnant teacher who becomes a drug mule, as well as Steven Soderbergh’s epic “Che” and the upcoming indie drama “Frail,” in which she plays the title character, who’s described as a naive Midwestern girl.

    That’s about how I pictured her… even though Maria is supposed to be Mexican rather than Colombian. They’ve done a decent job casting so far, so I’m keeping the faith. :)

    yes she is hispanic but hispanic doesnt mean mexican. and im just upset that when they respected the description of every character in the series. that they would go out of their way to not get a mexican actress

    I am very excited for all of those flashbacks!! I enjoyed them very much in Eclipse :) It is my favourite book so I am really looking forward to it.

    I don't know why but I always pictured Maria as a kind of a vamp woman. Long curly hair a corset and a nice cleavage. Like those prostitutes in western movies :) ) lol

I still cannot believe they are going to monitor the internet use :( I almost died today, wanting to go find the new trailer. I had to wait until I got home. It was the longest day EVER!

    I saw, a wise women way above her years. So no. I saw an older, muse like, dom type of a women. So no I dont think she fits. All I know is that if I were going to cast a female to play Maria I would cast some one like Salma Hayek. For the Director, to each his own.

Once in New York, things do not happen as planned” I think that when she took the drugs she didn’t know that she was pregnant, I have watched the movie it is really beautiful and really good. It’s also sad cause one of the friends she made got murdered I think. I gotta watch the movie again. But all in all really good movie. Watch it sometimes. :)

    I think your first pic for Leah and Stewart for Seth, are fabulous!! Too bad you're not doing the casting! I would HATE to have Vanessa Hudgens as Leah! That's terrible! She'd just be playing an “angry girl” but I don't think she'd be able to capture the spirt of Leah.

    I’m absolutely thrilled with every decision I’ve seen Chris Weitz make. Obviously, we won’t know what the movies are really like until we see them in their entirety, but all the bits and pieces and characters that he’s used (and done away with) so far, have been completely spot on! I’m thrilled! I’m holding out on the hope that he’s going to make a far superior movie than Twilight was. Don’t get me wrong, it was OK. It captured the essence of the book in parts, but as a whole, it was rather embarrassing. I’m thrilled to see what a new director can do with it.

    However, I hope that she has chin-length hair in the movie. I don’t know why, but I always pictured Maria to have loose, chin-length, rather straight hair in the books. Perhaps so that she can be low-maintenance on the hair and focus more on the newborn vampire army. I never felt she was a “care-about-my-hair” type, and that although she did appreciate her beauty, that she wouldn’t fuss over it. So yep.

    well all of the pack is NA even Jacob/Taylor ,honest cuz i was reading an interview that Taylor was in obv and he said that he acutuly is a bit NA but as well he's like a million other things as well.I hope Vannessa H isn't in the movies cuz i think she's a bad actress(feel free to disagree,it's just my opinon) but i was just wondering Catalina look like's she could b a leah,mayb.I JUST LOOOOVVVVE JASPER'S BACK STORY cant wait 2 c it
