It’s amazing what some people will do to manipulate the most innocent of situations. Well here is a first hand account of exactly what happened with Twilight Saga star Kristen Stewart when interviewed for The Yellow Handkerchief -

The Q&A is presented as a recent conversation arranged during promotion for The Yellow Handkerchief, Stewart’s new film. And most of the discussion sticks to that dramatic role.

But at the end is a very curious bit of Robert Pattinson talk.

“So what’s really going on with you and Robert,” asks the interviewer. “Are you dating?”

To which Stewart is said to reply, “The whole rumor tabloid stuff is so obviously false to me and I knew it was false even before I became a part of it. It has been like some sort of ridiculous show. It’s like a soap opera, but filled with false realism. I don’t take it personally. It might seem real to fans, but it isn’t.”

Hmm. Sound familiar?

Take a look at this interview (with audio) from last November, when Stewart was promoting The Twilight Saga: New Moon and said of her growing celebrity:

“I’ve gotten more comfortable with the whole rumor, tabloid stuff, it’s so obviously false to me. Look, even before I became a part of it, once I sort of became a star… it’s like a show. It’s like a ridiculous show.”

["A soap opera with your name in it?" a reporter prompts]

“Exactly. With false realism like a soap opera that seems real but you’re not quite sure. It doesn’t bother me. I don’t take it personally.”

Gossip Cop contacted BettyConfidential, and the site confirmed our suspicions.

The answer to the “What’s going on with you and Robert?” question, the site admits, was taken from the previous roundtable discussion with reporters Stewart staged in November.

It was not an answer Stewart gave during her current promotion for The Yellow Handkerchief.

Can you believe this mess? I mean is it that serious, to go to this extent? Special shout out to Gossip Cop for bringing this to everyone’s attention

Absolutely absured that they would stoop so low to get hits! I cannot imagine what life must be like for Kristen and Robert, but if there's one thing I've learned about their characters is that the more they are pushed the less likely they are to “come out”. Let them live their lives in peace. Whatever they are doing seems to be working just fine for them, and all the added pressure of becoming an official couple might very well be the undoing of their relationship (which I envy like an aquarium-dwelling-fish envies its friends still living in the ocean! Lol!)

p.S: The above posted picture of Kristen: possibly my favorite of her. She is breathtaking!

It is just wrong to twist Kristens words to mean something else, especially when it was a different interview, just like The Sun did with Rob earlier this week.

It is also completely lazy just to rehash previous interviews and also plain stupid, don't they realise that her fans are going to recognise it.

Omg this is just absurd! How desperate can an interviewer be?! That person shouldn't even be allowed to call himself/herself an interviewer. It's just ridiculous. Just leave Kristen and Rob be. Stop twisting Kristen's words. *in Chaske's voice* Suck it in and tell the truth!

It's bad enough that “Twilight” is written on every product imaginable. Now they bleeding the cast dry just to make a buck. Rob and Kristen are real people and they deserve respect. I don't know why that is so hard to understand.

Oh, let's not use any actual words that she said. Let us go back and steal a quote or two. It will appear that we were the ones that she gave the scoop to. OMG! I am so over this. There are pictures out today people. Together. At JFK. Why must these “journalists” continue to seek the actual words from them instead of letting us just enjoy the pictures that speak the truth. That is all I need right now. Just to know they are spending time together and enjoying each others company.
