Yes EAD I agree. The RL can be such a stinker that you need your mind to take you away and live in the imaginative to fulfill that creative urge. Yep, we went upto my sisters place in the mountains yesterday, and spent the whole day 4Wheel driving. It was grouse, except i got a bit scared and had (what im calling) a 'bella' moment, and had to put my head b/w my knees and remember to breathe at one stage cos i was having a massive panic attack about driving up a great big hill on the side of a mountain top… but hey, we're still here – and the rest of the day was heaps of fun. slipping n sliding thru the mud, and we had a bbq in a nice little clearing that we found… It was a beautiful day, and the kids had a ball… so yeah, it was nice….

You are like me in that aspect that you use writing as a means to connecting inside and using your creativity to sought through your emotions. I used to write poetry so much then once I had a change in my life. I ceased to do as much. I still do it here and there. Writing short stories has not been a big constant. It is good that we learn to find what it is we have to make things better for us. I always respect and have strongest love for those who are gifted in these respects.

I did not do hardly anything but run a few errands (ie grocery store, bite to eat/dessert) and come home. Sound like you were quite busy despite your day off with your husband. It's good that you got away from the house and even with your dog to the park. The weekends for me are too fast. I wished there was in law a 3 day weekend.

Writer's block? Perhaps you need to be inspired by someone or something to get back started. I always say write when you feel it then otherwise you are just writing without much meaning. I had a dream with Rob in it partially this morning but it was nothing naughty!!! I don't remember it clearly but it was like I was helping him with something. Argh I wished I could remember. Too faint to get a good grasp of it even after I woke up. BUT he was gorgeous!!!
