Its so heartfelt. i think that it really got snugged this award season. The marketing-they directed it at audiences watching American Pie. And its SO much more.
And the soundtrack, the soundtrack is one of the best in a couple of years.

Kristen is great in it. I really liked how the characters were distinguished. How Brannon acted nervous around Em and was rather chill around Lisa P. How he had the exact Dickens conversation with both of them. How much alike were Joel and Em. The characters are so well written…
And I downloaded the OST. The Cure Just like Heaven is my 'get in great mood' music. so much amezingness. And really Jesse and Kristen are one of the most adorable onscreen couples I've seen.

Oh, I know. Jesse Eisenberg is almost too adorable. Do you remember his sister from the Pepsi commercials on TV where she would have different famous voices? They look so much alike.

All of their characters were so interesting and layered, I really sympathized with each of them for their different situations. It was very nuanced and well done.

Dude, I have my fears because the trailer is misleading. Summit is afraid to show the plot, leak one bit. It a kill-all fcksad ending. The fact that they are hiding it might not be good. The trailer indicates a family drama, yes, with romance, yes, but over-all it did not get good responses. I did not like it. It is very cliched, and the story itself is rather not.
We'll see. I am certain that Rob gave his best. I want to see him finally natural onscreen.

You make a good point. The trailer is somewhat misleading. You wouldn't know what the actualy movie is about unless you've read the script. But I trust Rob will win everyone over with his performance. I finally saw How to Be last night and can't get over how brilliant he is in it. It was so refreshing to see him take on such a different role.
