i understand your annoyance w/ him not showing any rob pictures, but hey, you'll be more surprised & happy when you finally do see him in the trailer. you know, kind of like when you don't see something in a long time but when you finally do the wait was worth it?

Me too! Hehe, I knew someone else would be brave enough to let on that this was a GOOD thing! David Slade may have a man/boy crush on Taylor (and who could blame him), but they can't change the book TOO much. (Let's not get started on MR). I'm sure if KStew and Stephenie Meyer has any say there will be PLENTY of Edward going on in Eclipse.

Maybe it's due to the extreme privacy that Rob and KStew always want. Maybe DS felt he would be invading their privacy with his tweets. Taylor is a media animal and enjoys the spotlight. So maybe KStew and Rob are the reason themselves that David doesn't mention them or put pictures of them up. *shrugs* Just a thought.

In my opinion, Jacob is a very big part of Eclipse… especially when it comes to delivering a message about love which the series as a whole offers. Agreed Eclipse isn't focused on Jacob specifically… it's about Bella and her relationship with two men that she is in love with. One man for whom she has an undeniable, unconditional, inhuman love for, and one who she does love deeply but denies it to herself because she knows that it isn't enough to change anything with her other love.

I've said this in another post but I think it's worth saying again… Bella loves Jacob and her love for Jacob is a significant part of the series. For one, to show her humanity… to show that humans experience many degrees of love that can overlap. To show that real human love exists and grows and changes and also to highlight the UNTOUCHABLE, magical love between her and Edward.

See, any normal person could envy the friendship-turned love that Jacob and Bella have and the fact that Edward exists and offers a degree of commitment and love that can ECLIPSE the natural, “easy as breathing” human love between jake and bella, that's where the magic is, THAT is what makes Edward-Bella love so amazing to me. I'm a team Jacob leaner just because I happen to enjoy his character but Bella is meant to be with Edward, no doubt. I don't see how there are Team Edwards that dislike Jacob… Jacob helps to highlight the wonder of Edward-Bella's relationship. Jacob's character is very human and young and learning… just like many readers of SM's novels. Bella too! Edward is in another category which again, is what makes the series interesting and great.

Remember that Bella's heart does break for jake while she was sitting the truck crying over him (as she told herself over and over that it wasn't as bad as in New Moon)… when Edward came and took her home and stayed with her all night while she cried over another guy. That was intense. Edward is amazing. Bella's only human… and that break in her heart didn't heal until she was changed in Breaking Dawn.

All that said… I don't think the movies have done the best job portraying Edward and Bella's love… it needs to be stepped up several more levels lol

I know I wonder why? I just hope they stay true to the book! or at least close to it and don't over do it with too much Jake in it. I love Jake, but I just don't want them to upset us fans.

What does it mean about “paranoid people”? adding that the good people at summit and him get on very well…it is not us…right? because of the insistence of the trailer, I mean…
I can understand and even cheer the vampires fights and I´m just waiting to see my Edward acting finally like one showing all that he´s got ( that if MR and SM) consider that well…and fight and Riley and Victoria and flashbacks and so on and so on…but giving just the slightest idea that Bella HAS TO choose Edward just for pity or stuborn or wathever and not because of the love she has for him…when in the book she just finished kissing Jacob and was saying that Edward would have to leave her so that she could be begging on her knees…for him not to leave her…that is turning the real meaning of the twilight saga:

Scummit and all involved need to get their act together as far as these movies are concerned. We were deprived of any sort of meaningful relationship between B/E in the Twilight movie, it was practically non-existent in NM and by the looks of things Eclipse is going to be the Jakella story.

Bella and Edward's relationship IS the story and I want to SEE IT on screen.

As far as I'm concerned so far Edward has been reduced to a subplot in these movies. I hardly recognise him in comparison to the character in the book that got us all hooked. his character is only redeemed by Rob's great performance with what little he has to work with. Eclipse is the chance to add more dimensions to him which were eradicated from the first two movies. In my opinon, in New Moon, Jacob's role and his relationship with Bella was fleshed out well in the limited screen time available, you understand why they care about each other and why their friendship is strong. You just didn't get that with B/E in 'Twilight'.

Now let's see the same done with Edward in Eclipse. Otherwise no one is going to understand why they can't be apart if they haven't read the effing books!!

Keep your Riley backstory, your extended newborn fight sequences and your state of the art special effects, because it all means nothing if the story of B/E's relationship is overlooked in favour of them.

I have to say that I can wait a little longer for the trailer, I mean it's just Jan. Eclipse is 5 months away…and that doesn't include this month. I'm actually glad they aren't willing to release as much clips and such as they did New Moon. We saw half the movie! I can wait. But I have to say that by March, I'm gonna be wanting it.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm actually a Jacob fan, but I LOVED the magic between Edward and Bella, especially in the first book, and none of the movies have done that love justice.
*pssst, I'll tell you a secret* I always ultimately saw Bella with Edward in the end, but I would have loved for Jacob and Bella to have a little somethin', somethin' for a few years first.

I agree with you, Im not a Jake hater either 'cause I know he is an important part in the story, all l think is that the movies we've seen so far have not achieve the portrayal of E & B's love, and it does make feel down a bit.
