I was the the first of the EM.org writers to get the email, and responded with the help of my dear friend (and ThinkingOfRob.com owner) Faker Paris.

Following the massive reaction after yesterday’s Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart kissing photos post, Celebuzz wanted to go directly to the fans to see how the kiss impacted them. Below is an op-ed of sorts from Lisa Marie Hay, who is the lead writer for Twilight-obsessed site EclipseMovie.org (as well as NewMoonMovie.org and BreakingDawnMovie.org). She was at the epicenter of the fan freakout yesterday, and wrote a guest post for Celebuzz to talk about the impact of the day. Here’s what Lisa Marie had to say:

Yesterday was one of the biggest days in the world of Twilight. The buzz on Twitter was like lightning, flashing tweets, rumbles of arguing. Once the pictures hit, no one was safe.

In this day and age where the internet means having information at the edge of your fingertips with barely a few keystrokes. The photos of Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart kissing spread over the internet like a wild fire yesterday, and like a wildfire, it caused damage.

For some it caused euphoria. They finally had proof that their favorite actors were a couple. I, for one, had thought they had been a couple for a while. Either way, if they were or weren’t together, it didn’t affect my life. These pics clearly set the limits for some while others were joyously oblivious to the impact that this can have on the two very private actors.

How did these pics affect the fandom? Truth be told, being part of the Twilight fandom is like walking a tight rope. One wrong move and you come tumbling down. The Twilight community has been split in half for a while now; yesterday those trenches became even deeper. I feel as though I’m stuck in the middle when it comes to the pictures. Part of me is extremely happy that Kristen and Rob seem to be happy. However, the other part of me feels somewhat disgusted at myself for even looking, and for feeling the slightest bit of joy.

Does this mean that all the speculation, all the questions about their personal lives will come to an end? From an insiders point of view I can tell you that it won’t end. Some people will turn their backs saying enough is enough, while others will keep wanting more information, more personal details, not answers. There have been a few interviews of Kristen’s that I have shared with our readers on EclipseMovie.org, and she has bluntly said that her relationship status with Rob is something she would like to keep private. I don’t think they’ll admit any type of relationship any time soon. I also do not think it would be via an interview or event. You’ll just see them walking hand and hand someday, out in the open, down the street.

My biggest fear out of all of this — what if they break up? What happens with Breaking Dawn, or the promotion of BD part 1 and 2, if they are no longer together? I think that is one of the reasons why they have tried to keep their relationship behind closed doors. Because anything can happen, and nothing is permanent. Take Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gossling from The Notebook. They were a couple, and were lovers in one of the most amazing love stories of our time. How do you feel now when you watch The Notebook, knowing they are no longer together? Exactly.

On a happier note — Rob and Kristen, whether you are just friends with some really good benefits, or are indeed boyfriend and girlfriend, I wish you nothing but the best and hope that you get some peace.

I adore Stewy, but I agree that there was alot of her real life self in Eclipse. I think I accept it because both Bella and Edward have been so different in the movies. Stewy gets away with it because Bella could be anyone, ya know? It’s her perspective of the character. It was Rob’s Edward in NM I loathed. Eclipse made up for it. He was ALL Edward in it. And Taylor has always been the perfect Jake to me.

LOL I do not speak of Rob in the hubby’s existence. He thinks I’m a creepy stalker (I’m not arguing that) so the fact that I have a Rob calendar hanging in the bedroom and it’s not been ripped down and shredded yet is good enough for me. Hee. I am sure the Stewy part would interest him. Not that he cares for her, but any mention of any OTHER woman would be fine.. he is a man. Duh!

Exactly. Poor hubbies. They are not used to this, ya know? Hubby will only refer to him as “Cedric” because he loves HP. That is the only time he speaks of him. LOL But he does have to listen to me go on about him when I talk to my mom on the phone. He usually leaves the room.

Hey girl! I’m very very very sorry that I didn’t reply sooner. School is being like hell. :l And I had so very little time to use my computer, that sometimes I kinda forgot about Disqus and things like that! I’m sorry!
Seriously, I totally hate the paparazzi that took the pictures. It was pretty… nosy. Or no… Nosy is an understatement for that. :l But still, he/she shouldn’t have done that. It’s a really ugly job, being a paparazzi, invading people’s privacy is really some kind of sick sh*t. And doing this to Kris and Rob, it just awful to the extremes. I’d rather work as another thing, a plumber or something. Because those jobs, somehow, have dignity. Being a pap, no way. There should really be a law that strictly says that paparazzis can’t invade private moments, or something like that. I’m getting sick of them.

I love them together! Don’t like the papparazzi though , too invasive,. Don’t want Rob and Kristen to stop acting because they can’t stand it anymore. I think they have been in love for a couple years. All I have watched of them in conferences, and interviews, you can tell they are nuts about each other. Rob moreso then Kristen. Kristen is right to take it slow as young men will not stay, although Rob seems to be a romantic. Love them…

my views? i do really love that rob&kristen are together. my twi-tuition began tingling as soon as i saw them in the meadow in twilight. and its been confirmed a while ago, but the rumor mill continued to spin. the chemistry was obvious between them, and if they want to be together i say so be it. its their lives and they can do whatever they choose, we are not ones to judge. although, i have always feared if the relationship ends badly how it will affect the BD. they will still do BD, i think thats for certain, im just worried that the on-screen chemistry will dissapear. so im just keeping my fingers crossed that they stay together

Oh, that’s so sweet of you to visit your mother! Wow, she has lived a lot. And yeah, spend a lot of time with her, while you still can Oh, and don’t worry about replying soon or something. Hey darlin! So good to hear from you. I have been in Nashville Tn since August,and my mothers’ computer won’t let me get in here a lot—has issues. LOL.
