I was the the first of the EM.org writers to get the email, and responded with the help of my dear friend (and ThinkingOfRob.com owner) Faker Paris.

Following the massive reaction after yesterday’s Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart kissing photos post, Celebuzz wanted to go directly to the fans to see how the kiss impacted them. Below is an op-ed of sorts from Lisa Marie Hay, who is the lead writer for Twilight-obsessed site EclipseMovie.org (as well as NewMoonMovie.org and BreakingDawnMovie.org). She was at the epicenter of the fan freakout yesterday, and wrote a guest post for Celebuzz to talk about the impact of the day. Here’s what Lisa Marie had to say:

Yesterday was one of the biggest days in the world of Twilight. The buzz on Twitter was like lightning, flashing tweets, rumbles of arguing. Once the pictures hit, no one was safe.

In this day and age where the internet means having information at the edge of your fingertips with barely a few keystrokes. The photos of Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart kissing spread over the internet like a wild fire yesterday, and like a wildfire, it caused damage.

For some it caused euphoria. They finally had proof that their favorite actors were a couple. I, for one, had thought they had been a couple for a while. Either way, if they were or weren’t together, it didn’t affect my life. These pics clearly set the limits for some while others were joyously oblivious to the impact that this can have on the two very private actors.

How did these pics affect the fandom? Truth be told, being part of the Twilight fandom is like walking a tight rope. One wrong move and you come tumbling down. The Twilight community has been split in half for a while now; yesterday those trenches became even deeper. I feel as though I’m stuck in the middle when it comes to the pictures. Part of me is extremely happy that Kristen and Rob seem to be happy. However, the other part of me feels somewhat disgusted at myself for even looking, and for feeling the slightest bit of joy.

Does this mean that all the speculation, all the questions about their personal lives will come to an end? From an insiders point of view I can tell you that it won’t end. Some people will turn their backs saying enough is enough, while others will keep wanting more information, more personal details, not answers. There have been a few interviews of Kristen’s that I have shared with our readers on EclipseMovie.org, and she has bluntly said that her relationship status with Rob is something she would like to keep private. I don’t think they’ll admit any type of relationship any time soon. I also do not think it would be via an interview or event. You’ll just see them walking hand and hand someday, out in the open, down the street.

My biggest fear out of all of this — what if they break up? What happens with Breaking Dawn, or the promotion of BD part 1 and 2, if they are no longer together? I think that is one of the reasons why they have tried to keep their relationship behind closed doors. Because anything can happen, and nothing is permanent. Take Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gossling from The Notebook. They were a couple, and were lovers in one of the most amazing love stories of our time. How do you feel now when you watch The Notebook, knowing they are no longer together? Exactly.

On a happier note — Rob and Kristen, whether you are just friends with some really good benefits, or are indeed boyfriend and girlfriend, I wish you nothing but the best and hope that you get some peace.

I have been a reader on this site since March ’09. I have laughed, cried, yelled and screamed at some of the comments made here by many individuals. Let me first congratulate LMCullen on her well written article concerning the “not so nice photos” of our two actors, Rob and Kristin. Like most who have posted here I too was drawn to view the pictures out of human curiosity. Once viewed I felt I had invaded the most personal and private space of two very private people. I felt disgusted with myself, but more so with the paps who feel it is their duty to document every move these two young people make to feed us the fans with more and more fodder for our unsatiable need of TMI. I say enough is enough.
As a mother of a son who is trying to break into the business, I would be appalled to hear or view of similiar pictures knowing my sons private life is splayed all over the internet for all to view and comment on. Just think how his Mother feels knowing her sons privacy has been so invaded. I’m thinking Mama Bear on the rampage here.

These two young actors have graced us with fine moments in a franchise movie event based on books that we all adore, I am Team Twilight, all the way, leaning to the side of Edward, HEHE. Maybe their meeting was by chance or fated by the stars, but they have met and started a relationship maybe coaxed on by the movies’ subject matter, who knows? They are young and obviously quite smitten with each other, maybe it will last maybe not, realtionships in Hollywood don’t seem to last as long when constantly under the glare of the “big lights”. Maybe they can find a way to regain their privacy to an extent that will allow them to keep their relationship on the positive road. There are so many maybes in this uncertain world. Love being a sometimes difficult path for young people period.
I for one wish them the best both professionally and personally.

My kudos to this site, I never knew hate sites existed, guess my head was in the sand. This site has always struck me a well managed, sometimes the discussions made me blush, (I’m a married woman 50 years old!!), sometimes the discussions were on the absurd side but thats what makes good reading and conversation. Go em.org, bd.org I will continue to read daily and post when I feel the need. Can’t wait to start reading posts on the filming of our final book.

I really wish this wouldn’t have happened. Why can’t they have a right to privacy like the rest of us?? why are we so obsessed with knowing??
They deserve a right to be together and not have everyone watching and waiting for their next move. I really hope despite all of this they can ignore and go about their happy lives.

People saying stuff like that are just gealous at Kristen, because of Rob. they’re small and mean and shallow.
I am not a big fan of Kristen’s acting in the Twilight movies (there, I said it) but I’m not bashing her or telling nasty things about her. I think she has a lot of potential, but in other type of roles.

This is actually my very first post on this site and I just really couldn’t not say something this time. Is the “in” fighting among Twilight fans due to the fact that Rob and Kristen are together (or appear to be)? As a fan of Twilight and a fan of their hopeful relationship, I admit it made me happy to see the pics. I respect the privacy they so want but as a fan of their chemistry and obvious enjoyment of each other, it was nice to see. I understand that they are put into a precarious situation; thrust into the spotlight and therefore on everyone’s list of what, why and how in regards to their life’s. I don’t mean to sound caviler, but such is the price of fame sometimes but even that can be done with respect. However, the way in which they are handling themselves is a true testament of character and I for one think for such young adults they are handling it with a maturity rarely seen.

I will not be hopping planes and chasing them down for pics of kissing or holding hands but I will not be ashamed to look at those pictures and feel happy for them, not because they were caught in a private moment but because they deserve those moments regardless of who is around. My husband and I never hesitate to touch or kiss in public and I don’t feel like they should be required to hide their feelings in public as well. While we are never photographed, it doesn’t matter to me if the world knows. It only matters to them because we as fans and media sit and speculate and bombard and never allow them a to just be. We question a possible break up. We question the issues it could cause for BD. We rant and rave about them as though they are the fictional characters they portray and not as the people they are. Do we know them really or wish for them to be Edward and Bella and project that upon our opinions. There can be a happy medium. Let them be happy, don’t force our ideas upon them but with celebrity comes things that they might not prefer, things like the questions and the pics.

I will read the articles and I will look at the pics and not feel guilt. I will be happy for them and then go on about my life. And I hope that they continue to do so with theirs. The thing is that I don’t think they keep it secret because of anything other than the fact that people bombard them and treat it as the most important thing. Personally it might be the most important thing but professionally it is not. As actors I think they need to have their work be praised or criticized, but most importantly acknowledged.

I don’t think we need to worry about BD. They are smart, talented, and professional actors and regardless will act as such. I hope they enjoy each other and the incredible opportunities given to them right now. As a fan I just want what everyone wants, for them to be happy whether that be in love or work. Kudos to Rob and Kristen for being level headed and talented and enjoying this time in their lives. A picture of them kissing doesn’t change anything. As individuals or as a couple, they are still people and to that I say….Do what you want, when you want. You can only make yourself happy.

I think the entire thing has been blown way out of proportion. If they want to be together, then let them. If they want to be apart, then who really cares? People who decide not to like a movie because of someone’s relationship status are immature.

They are actors; their job is to make their role believable. The same goes for Rob and Kristen. I think they are professional enough, that if they break up, they will make their roles in BD spectacular. They don’t intend to ruin their careers like this article suggests. Let’s not forget the hundreds of love/romance stories where the actors are not involved in real life.

I say Rob and Kristen, go public if you want, or keep it quiet – your choice and no change in how I feel about the story line for the Twilight saga. I hope the best for your relationship, if it really is real, as I would for anyone else. You guys need more praise for what you have had to put up with.

I know I’m a few hours in but I just had to say I totally agree with your comment. I’ve been a fan of this website and NM.org ever since I typed in “Twilight” into google lol. I love this site and I will cry when this all ends (don’t even want to think about it). The relationships on here is amazing, I also envy some people on here lol. EM.org is THE BEST site I’ve found were everyone gets along for the most part. Even when we have our differences we always pull together in a respectful way in the end.

I LOVE THE WHOLE CAST. They brought their best preformances forward and brought our favorite charactors to life! I love Rob and Kristen, Kris esp. And its crazy how much hate she gets from everyone, even people that claim to be her “fans”. Its annoying and disgusting how people can bash a young women just because shes not the typical hollywood star or just cuz shes dating Rob.

Technically, I think we all should put our own lives first, then Team Twilight as second.

Twilight is mainly here to entertain us and teach us a few things here and there.

I personally am not that big of a fan of Robsten.. and prefer Taysten more, but what the heck.. not that important!

What I love the most about Twilight is the story. The beautiful love storIES behind it. Very inspiring, and it shows that even though it’s just a story… it’s possible to find true love and fight for it. THAT’s the true beauty of Twilight. Edward and Bella = true love, but so do Jake and Bella (I do prefer Jake’s more humanly traits mixed with the aggressive animalistic traits :p)… and Jasper and Alice.. and Emmett and Rosalie and Carlisle and Esme!

And so what if vampires don’t sparkle and if the werewolves aren’t as “authentically werewolfy” as they should be. It’s an effing STORY! You can make sh*t up! :p

Sooo… thanks to EM.org/NM.org/BD.org for a great website dedicated to the books/movies.. thanks to S. Meyer for sharing her dreams with us through this beautiful story and helping us believe in the wonders of true love… but HUGE thanks to Rob, Kristen and Taylor for fully-embodying those characters and emulating those relationships.

Is it not obvious that Kristen and Rob are seemingly perfect for each other? Yes, we only get to see and hear so much, but just from that isn’t it crystal clear? They are both awkward, kinda grungy if that’s the right word, they have similar styles, and they are both super awkward ( wait, did I say that already?) But I think it’s absolutely adorable. They are both so attractive in their own ways.

And let’s be honest.. I’m not the only one that gets a huge kick out of them being together because there is some truth to “Twilight,” am I?! I know it’s probably the most absurd thing I’ll ever say, but them being together just sparks the whole fantasy of these books and movies in just the teeniest, tiniest way. And I love it. I hope they last.
