Maria isn't sparkling because it's just a movie still. They don't the add the affects onto movie stills, just the actual movie and trailer.

From what I’ve seen in the Sneak Peak clips, from what all of us have seen, I don’t think the major battle scene in Twilight Saga: Eclipse is sunny. It seemed… “overcasty”.

The major effort it would be to make a massive group sparkle would be ridiculous expense for a not-so-shocking effect. I’d rather them spend all that money on the wolves.

I’ve seen all these shots of Maria, Nettie, and Lucy that are clearly in major sunlight, but they’re not sparkling at all which leads me to hope/believe that like you said they just can’t put the sparkle effect in pictures because its an effect that wouldn’t work for just a single still.

Just wanted to point out that the “sparkles” are put in with CGI. There are no sparkle pictures (unless they're screencaps) of Edward, are there?

If Maria is featured with sunny skies, I'm sure the dedicated special effects team will take care of her luminscent skincare.

Jack Huston is absolutely the best new actor to come on the scene, he and Michael Pitt are enough to scare the pants off old timers like George Clooney and Brad Pitt, Brad never looked as good as Jack Huston. I love both Jack and Michael, I am an old lady compared to then and I’ve had more fun wiatching them both in Boardwalk, when people say they dont’ make them like that anymore they are wrong, just look at the new up and coming stars gracing our screens now, Michael Pitt, Jack Hustone, and although Steve Buciemi has been around a while he is still one of the best actors out there, yep, they do make them like they used to , even better .
