Thank you! I was very disaponted in the negative response by everyone here, though I expected it. The movies won't live up to the books ever. And instead of critquing everything we should just enjoy it because it was EPIC. I loved it and yeah there were alot missing but hello people its a movie adaptation! Were lucky she didn't chose jake in the film and edward got killed by the vultori lol. So please everyone relaxe and bask in this momment and stop b**** about everything.

    Peace, Love and Twilight!

After seeing the movie, and loving every scene – which were all so beautifully shot – I'm really intrigued to watch what was actually cut out of the movie because it did have so much in it. I really hope there's a lot on the dvd.
And I really do hope we're not cheated out of the “Holy Trinity's” audio commentary this time. :P Hehehe, we all know after watching Twilight with commentary you'll never see it the same way again.

  • EAD_TwistAArmpitHair

I cannot watch this video yet and I have not seen Eclipse, either. That will be Sunday. However, I wanted to just tell you I love your comment. We all have to accept the fact that the movies will never live up to the books, but from what I read about Eclipse from all of you, it comes pretty darn close. I adore DS and I am sure I will adore him even more after I finally see the movie.

  • jennkelly

I completely agree with you! The movie was amazing I loved it, but of course as with any book turned into a movie, the couldn't include everything and some of my favorite parts were cut or left out completely but oh well the still brought the story to life and i for one am incredibly grateful. This was without question the best of the 3 so far and I think the closest to the book. Thank you David Slade!

*sighs* It seems I'm alone in this one :/ I absolutely HATED the movie T_T I just feel like they made Bella look like a sl*t and act OOC 90% of the movie T_T specially the end. ¨It's not about you ¨ *dies* this movie made me cry more than new moon, because I was so mad at MR T_T

  • Vi.mms

The cast and all the people that said DS was “the perfect or the best director to this movie” were right (I already knew that, I just needed to watch the movie to make sure… lol)
Eclipse was totally AMAZING. I was a little afraid by the E/B scenes bc I love their romance and relationship so much and I remember when almost everyone was saying that the movie “will seem like it's just about Jacob”, “it's not gonna have so much romance”, “it'll be like it's not about E/B anymore”… these aren't the exact words but all of them have the same meaning. I was really crossing fingers and saying: “someone tell me it's gonna be alright… please!”. And it was. There's no reason to be disappointed about the film.

    ALL the cast was great.
I love the movie, and I wasn't expecting to see everything that was in the book or almost almost everything, bc: that. is. impossible. But some people continue to say: “that quote wasn't in the movie”, “how didn't they do this and that?”… The film is BASED on the book, it's not EXACTLY the book.

I love all the three films so far. It's Twilight and I will always love it. If there were 6 books/films I would see them. If there were 10 I would see them (that would be complicated bc vampires are frozen in time :D ).
Besides, I think this movie was the closest to the book so far.

So just enjoy it and have a good time, 'cuz I'm looking forward to watch it again soon ;)
    (Ohh yeeaahhhh!)

  • TATIANA_OME – TEAM CHARLIE

you'll like it, perhaps even love it! It falls a bit short, but…hell…I sat through the whole thing with a stupid grin on my face and my husband had to stop my leg from shaking like 12 times. My anticiaption was high and I left the theatre on a high and I plan on going back next week to reasses the parts that made me cringe…I may have looked too far into them. However, a couple of lines right at the end will probably never sit right with me…but…eh, can't have it all :) I luv it!

  • NO 3D for BD :)Rileward<3

dayum i so totally cant wait to buy it on DVD ! ;)

  • BMFtwister_AddictedToRobsSmile

I was kind of hoping that the talk that bell has with angela will be in the movie, but I*m not that dissapointed, however, I am now interested that that will be on the dvd, and very curious what else will be…I am very much hoping that the trio will be included in the commentary of a dvd….I loved the movie….It was moving kind of fast, but it definitely wasnt boring in any moment, and yes, like I said a million times already, the movie will never be like the book, but I think it was pretty close….had all the quotes and the happenings that were supossed to be, and that were important….the best movie yet….and this dvd is the one that I will be dying to get!…one more thing, CW I liked NM, and you seem like a very nice person, dedicated and tried to make a great movie…and you did, but DS bas better….he totally rocked…DS, you are a genious!!!

  • KatHale *Team Young Major*

I don't believe I'm saying that but I already want the DVD…The movie was SO good!
I've seen it only once so far,but I'll see it at least two more times!
I'd read some reviews,so I knew that the scene with Angela wouldn't be in the movie, but after seeing it,that didn't really bother me!
We'll see it now,so no harm done!
But I'm more anxious about seeing some other scenes!
For example at the graduation party, the scene with Alice,Jacob and Jasper!
“Remove your arms, before I remove them for you!”
Or some funny lines Emmett had!Especially when they tell Bella about the newborns!
And during the fight, where Jasper tries to protect Alice and gets bitten! I would really love to see this one!
I liked it in the script!
Deleted (or extended)scenes are always awesome!Looking forward to them!

I haven't seen the movie yet. I'm so sad 'cause we had tickets for the opening midnight show but my friend supposedly had them in her purse and we were so excited and all, so before the movie we went to eat and when we finally got to the movie theater she realized she had forgotten the tickets at her house. But by the time we went back to get them it was too late. ;,,(
We were all so sad but could not show it 'cause we didn't want my friend to feel worst than she already did, so we called the theater and explained everything and them being really nice replaced our tickets for the weekend, 'cause everyother show before that was sold out!!!, so after that I was even more excited to check out some of the comments thinking everyone loved it, just to read some that said they hated it and that Bella wasn't even like Book Bella, that she was out character and that She tells E that her wanting to become a vamp is not about him?!!!! I was like WHAT?!!! don't say that! I know book and movie can not be the same but all these comments made me think sad things about my beloved saga, so I really wanted to thank you for your positive comment, it has given me hope!!! : ) Hugs

  • 364ll

Hopefully there'll be a lovely DVD release date for the UK this time round .

  • TATIANA_OME – Team Charlie

You are going to love it. I, like many others on here can almost quote the book chapter for chapter and I still loved it, changes and all. The monologue that shall not be named was the only thing that kind of threw it out of balance, but I think over time, I will get over that as well. :) Stay excited…you're going to freaking luv it!!

  • EAD_TwistAArmpitHair

*sigh* I've heard about the end already. I guess Movie Bella had to seem more independent than Book Bella was…in not wanting to lose herself in a way, once changed. Not wanting to depend on Edward. I don't know. I didn't see it yet, of course. And yes, I am happy the hubby is going, but there will be no hiding my leg shakings, as well. Or my drooling, squirming, moaning….

i love david slade!!! he did a beautiful job! i want the dvd to include every single scene and line that they cut out!!! i want to see what we missed! we deserve that much!!!!!! =)

  • Team BB

The movie so brings out what's in the subtext of the book. Even Bella's 'independent' lines at the end just show reference to “This had better not be about me” and a foretaste of 'Shining' from Breaking Dawn. Loved the movie and totally getting the 'feel' of the book(s) from them. Kudos to DS for the latest installment.

  • TATIANA_OME – Team Charlie

so I read the first sentence of your reply a few times and it got me really thinking of why I don't like the monologue that shall not be named. Honestly the change it's self wasn't that bad, it might have even flowed and worked with the rest of the movie quite well if it would've been written just a little differently and acted/portrayed just a bit different as well. So when I broke down my feelings for it it really only gets me right at the very end. Bella is talking and Edward interjects with a question and it was her 2 word answer that drove me nuts. Why….because of how it was written, if things were reversed and Jake was the vampire and Edward was the wolf, she would've chose Jake based on her speech and her reply to Edward. The whole speech drives home the point that her choice was based on what she feels she was supposed to be and not one little ounce of who she is in love with. It crushed me to see it portrayed that way. Edward wins because he is the race she feels she was meant to be, not because she loves him…not at all….and honestly, that just hurts.

other than that, EAD, you truly are going to like it and you may even have an entirely different opinion of how the scene plays out :)

  • Twilight_a_drug_2_me

I cannot wait for the DVD and it's deleted and extended scenes. I wonder how many different ways they will do it. Like Jane says, “decisions, decisions”!
We want Rob, Kristen commontary, that's all!

  • I gs Rob's jst thr 2 tees me

My Question for David Slade: How does it feel knowing that you've just made the best movie out of the whole entire saga?
I bet you feel like an accomplished badass:)

  • bluegoddessgirl

Yeah I remember when the actors/actresses in the movie were talking about how great this film is because of the action and people were freaking out. We hardly had any great E/B romance scenes in the first two movies and I was afraid this one was going to be the same way, but I was so wrong. I think Eclipse was a perfect balance between romance and action, and it should be enough to draw in a larger audience then the last two had. I was completely satisfied with the outcome and I felt like the transitions between scenes were a lot smoother than both Twilight & New Moon. In terms of books I loved both Eclipse and Breaking Dawn and so far Eclipse is my favorite of the three released movies. I hope I can say the same for Breaking Dawn. I wouldn't mind having David come back to direct the first or second part of the last movie.

  • bluegoddessgirl

I was so mad when they didn't do a trio commentary for New Moon because I was so looking forward to it after the Twilight commentary. I really hope they get Rob, Kristen, and Taylor to do one for Eclipse so that we can all hear what they have to say about the scenes. If they don't then I am going to be so angry.

  • http://www.disqus.com/teamgrayface TeamGrayFace-TempAviForEclipse

:O SAME! Agrees completely! Especially seeing as they really got my hopes up when they said they were going to! Let's hope they do for Eclipse :D

  • EAD_TwistAArmpitHair

That makes total sense. There is a point right there when you say if it was reversed, and Jake was the vampire, she would be with him. WTF? Otherwise, she would want a wolf life with Edward? It makes no sense. I understand where maybe she was going with it (MR), but it doesn't flow with the entire saga. Even Edward said he can't live in a world where she does not exist in New Moon. Bella knows what she can't live without So, now she could live if he was not around, because it's the lifestyle and not Edward? Oh, boy. Major Fail. But….we expect that by now and must just enjoy everything else, right? I will find out on Sunday, I hope.

  • vampdazzled

Thanks for the great attitude!! I'm so excited about it, and this time I'll hold on to the tickets!! And yes I read about the monologue that shall no be named, so I hope now that I know about it, it won't be that painful to watch LOL!!!

  • Vi.mms

:( It must have been really unexpected but it can happen to anyone. The most important thing is that you're gonna love it, for sure ;)

Seriously, I was afraid about some things about the movie, particularly the E/B scenes, like I said before, but I was worried about “what all the characters would say and do”, I mean, the dialogues. 'Cause there were so much negative comments about MR, for example, (I'm not blaming anyone) and, you know, I've read some of them a few days before wednesday, and I thought: “Everyone says it's so good, I hope it really is…” And it is! It's the closest to the book up until now!!!

I wanted to make a positive comment about the movie, bc it was really good and there's nothing to be worried about. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did!!!! More hugs :) )

  • Vi.mms

It “was a perfetc balance between romance and action, and it should be enough to draw in a larger audience then the last two had”. Exactly, so well said!! People were laughing at the jokes that the characters said; once, my friend sighed and said “woww” when the wolf pack appeared in their wolf form for the first time; once, we were all applauding when E/B were kissing, it was so sweet…
So yeah, it had the perfect balance, I walked out of the theater very satisfied and I wouldn't mind having DS to BD, too.

  • Ilust4edward…BOO crappy wigs

Great job David Slade! Thank you!

  • sarah_of_the_volturi

You are definitely not alone. I'm super disappointed. WTF did they do to Bella, put in her evil twin? It could have been sooo much better… at least Riley was bad ass?

  • http://twitter.com/BellaBellsVamp BellaBellsWithConverse♥Edward

I KNOW! ha ha it was MR in a Bella costume xD I went to see it again today and I didn't hate it so much this time, but still as u said it could've been waaaaay better :/ It was only 2 hours long! WTF cmon MR! The books keep getting longer not shorter!

  • sarah_of_the_volturi

I hope and hope and hope that Rosenberg doesn't mess up BD…

  • http://twitter.com/BellaBellsVamp BellaBellsWithConverse♥Edward

Let's all hope that :/ The good thing is that SM is executive Producer so there's still hope :D

  • vampdazzled

Hi i wanted to get back to you after watching the movie, I'm a little late but I just wanted to say that you were right, I loved it, I was surprised at the fact that there were so many quotes from the book and the proposal scene oh just perfect!!! I loved the music on it, it was just *sighs*, the last part bother me a little but just when she says is not about Him, I was like Bella, come on! is ALWAYS about him, but oh well, and of course the kiss between Bella and J was hard to watch, to my relief there were a lot of team Edward girls there and we all were like yikes!! when that came on screen, so yes I love it!!!! : )

  • VAMPLOVER ccc <3 my Twisters

Little Vampie!!! Hey hon. Wasn't it awesome? Squeals!!!! I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I was skeptical of DS, But I was wrong—–he did an amazing job. The proposal–awwww,so sweet, and I loved that they were playing clair de lune when Bella went to Edwards house and he opened the door———awwww-nostalgia from Twilight. I wish they'd try to tie the other movies in like that more. He was a terrific director. Glad you liked it too, hon.

  • vampdazzled

*bear hug*!!!! yes it was awesome, I was so excited to finally be able to watch themovie after what happened to us on opening night!!!and I loved it, like I said to Vi.mms, there were some parts that I dislike a little, but I'll live, overall I like it, and OMG you should have been there to watch my face when Claire de Lune played in the background, I almost let some tears out LOL!!! I'm such a romantic, so that was like awwwww!!! I so agree that they should bring an element from the past movies i think for the fans that would be really cool. I also noticed that DS didn't put any reference to the red ribbon like CH and CW did in the previous movies, or am I mistaken?, I dnk I was expecting something like it, but oh well…and Edward vampie, *sighs* did you see him?!!..ahh what anstupid question?..of course you did!!! LOL!! wasn't Rob just the perfect Edward in this one!!! I almost past out in my seat, I have no words to describe my emotions everytime He came onto the screen, call me crazy but it's true LOL!!!!!

  • VAMPLOVERCarterBurwell2ScoreBD

What happened on opening night, honey? Oh, yes, there are always going to be MR moments we dislike, but over-all this was fabulous. I'm like you, hearing Clair de lune was like a throw back into twilight and I loved it. I wish they'd try to tie the movies together more. *sigh* It wouldn't have to be much, but something so you have continuity as in the books.Hmmmm, you know, I didn't notice any reference to the red ribbon either. But to be honest, I forgot til you said that. LOL I'll pay closer attention to that next time I see it. LOL Oh, little Vampie—————-yes honey–Edward was true Edward in this——he was beautiful! Yes, he was the perfect Edward——–just like he walked from the pages. LOL. I know darlin—-he does that to all of us. You're not crazy at all. He's a magnet and we're little pieces of steel, LOL We all just migrate to him. LOL He was perfect ,though in this. I hope they get the same make-up people for BD. See ya around doll. Twister Hugs
