Awwww….I have not seen it yet, ta. I was sick last weekend and now we have to watch every single dollar until my hubby gets his first official paycheck on top of mine. He's been out of work and we are extremely broke right now. I'm very sad.

CF i completely agree with your post…I saw it on Saturday morning with my son and we both balled up to. I was soooo surprise about the ending it was sooo unexpected. I loved the movie, story, and the way Rob portrayed the character he was fantastic. Just loved it.

I agree with you on that note, that some fans will only be twilight fans and have no interest in this type of genre. Others are too young. I didn't get to see NM in the theatres because I was in the same boat I am now. My hubby was not working until just this past week. That is my reason. I'm sure many, like me, would have loved to go and support Rob. This is reality for me. That is all I know.

Summit couldn't guarantee that it would be shown with RM outside U.S, so if you're across the waves, then, who knows.
I think though, if it was a different one, we'd know about it by now…. :0)

Considering the other movies that came out this past weekend and a Tim Burton movie already in theaters (lets not forget its not a big release) I think the movie did half way decent. People are going to take whatever they can and run with it just to try and tear it down. Rob is here to stay, even while reading a few negative reviews (just about the ending) the critics complimented him. I'm sad that is hurts some to see the ending, which was tastefully done, but go see the movie anyways and skip out the last few minutes. Its still a beautiful movie. People wouldn't feel the need to tear him down if he has not already made it. Yes there is always room for improvement, but I don't think this sex on a stick is going anywhere.

It's so lame of people to think the movie's performance, which was far less than I expected but not bad, shows he's not leading man material. Please. What it does show is that all the people who said they would pay to watch him read the phone book are full of it. I think there are a lot of his fans who don't want to get depressed at a movie. All these reports of people leaving the theater bawling were meant to show how moving the movie was, but the takeaway for the non-serious fan was this is a bummer. For some people that's just insurmountable.

For my part I thought he was fantastic. I think this performance bodes very well for his future. He's still getting started and has been catapulted to the upper echelons without much time to kind of train. I think he's great, but I'm sure he's going to be learning and improving as he works with a bunch of amazing people (besides Kristen Stewart ) including Sean Penn. Nothing is ever wasted and even if this is a setback, he will be fine. At least, this is what I am telling myself today because I remain dumbstruck by the failure of the fan base to turn out! URGH!!! Go see it people, at least once.

Wow, sounds like that Mr. Snowy is a keeper after all! (drops voice to a whisper) I wasn't crazy about the movie. I loved 90% of it and then the ending killed it for me. (back to normal voice) But nevertheless everyone should see it at least once since clearly many, many people have really liked/loved it, and not just Twihards. And vampwannabe, if you are reading this, you have changed my opinion to encouraging people to see it even if it wasn't my favorite.

That's what gets to me . . . worrying that he will take the wrong message from this. It's my twimom protective instinct I guess. He was great, I just think some of the decisions about the movie were not quite right. I'm sure he'll learn from it and be better at what he does for it. But I hope he is not in a bad place from all this because he doesn't deserve to be! He was marvelous.

Let me explain. I don't care what the critics think, I never do. But unfortunately there are a mass quantity of people that do and listen to that shiz like it is scripture. Look at the lack of support this past weekend. That was due to a multitude of things, but I guarantee that it would not have been near as bad if the critics had given it a chance and not slammed it.

Exactly. I feel I may be about to write my second fan letter ever. To the same person. I wrote the first one after reading the GQ interview and thinking “he really doesn't get hat he's really something special.” How dorky is that but true. I have the same fear now. I know, Snowy…it makes me very upset and annoyed, too. Where were the Twilight fans? I saw it 4 times, in matinees–and almost everyone in the theater was over 30…some women brought their husbands…but very few teens at all.

Yes. Such a beautiful film. Such a deep moving movie-going experience. This film stirred up such deep feelings in me.

I don't understand at all why people are so reticent to see it…or why it's hard to get people enthused about it. It's brilliantly done….but you mention the Hurt Locker, CF–another very good, though provoking movie–people really aren't going out to the it, either, considering….

Nope, I don't get it….but I'm still trying to encourage everyone I know to see Remember Me. **Shaking my head in disbelief….in sheer frustration**

Although this isn't a runaway hit, it was a decent showing and I hope he doesn't consider this a setback. He showed a lot of acting range in this. I think this should help in his credibility factor with the movie making establishment.

Critics and Hollywood are always hard on young actor who have celebrity at the start of their careers. I think Rob's very smart to choose the roles he's choosing to now. They show that he's more interested in acting and growing and less about the money and fame. They show that he's serious about a long term career. Very smart.
