New pictures of Eclipse Vampire Elizabeth Reaser (aka Mama Cullen .. or Esme ) from her photo shoot for her New York Daily News interview, back in June!

She is gorgeous! I still find it funny that in interviews she states that she isn’t motherly at all in real life. However, she does a GREAT job at playing Esme (who is definitely the mothering type!).

Esme’s back story, though very sad, is something I wish they would have explained in the Twilight Saga movies. Hopefully they will touch base on that in Breaking Dawn, especially with the birth of a certain someone , it could be written in. I truly think that all of the Cullen’s back stories should have been written in.

I love her as Esme, and I definitely think they should squeeze in everyone’s backstories. I read the books before I saw the movies, but I had already seen the posters for twilight, so I plugged in their faces for the characters.

I dunno I read the books first and I was quite pleased I just wish they would stop changing her hair throughout the movie…Her bouncy big locks in Twilight were really cute

And also why so difficult to just add a few sentences of each characters back story? “Esme lost a child, and she couldn bear with the pain so she decided to jump off a cliff and thatss how Carilse found her” I mean its not that hard! And I really wanted to hear how Rosalie saved Emmet from that bear attack and she carried him for x miles (

I so agree!! I want a backstory on all of them I want to know more about Jasper and I want to more about Emmett Rosalie and Carlisle and Esme and also more about Edward and what his(bio) parents were like I want to know about the wolf packs back stories too I hope Stepehenie does do as many backstories and I have a feeling MS will be a “novella” like the Bree Tanner book and I want to know more about Alice as well it would so good!

I read the books first I did’nt even know they were going to be movies until I heard about it on this website that I used to go too called wizardnews/Harry Potter news and that is how I found it was going to be movie:-)

completely agree about the backstories. too bad scummit and MR dont have a f*cking clue.

and i think she is an awesome esme very believable in her role. but i cannot for the life of me understand why they changed her hair in eclipse. seriously WTF?

Oh I really hope that MR writes in just a little interaction with Renesmee and Esme. Then you can get the motherly/grandmother feel. I would love to see how they bond along with Bella.

I’m a big fan of Elizabeth Reaser and I think she plays the roll very well!

But like others said, I keep swearing everytime I see that they changed her hair color… The color in Eclipse didn’t helped her in the role. I mean, she’s supposed to look very motherly and very, how do you say that… Erm, catchable? Like you can kill her right away, you know what I mean?
Her hair makes her look so… Mad, it doesn’t suites her or her role. I loved her hair in Twilight, when I saw her the first time I was like; LOOK THATS SO ESMÉ! And then my BFF shooshed me and said; would you stop talking already o.o?

Lol.

i have absolutely no idea. i was so p*ssed though. the caramel was
beautiful on liz, and it was exactly how it was described in the book.
why they would change it is completely beyond me.
