Eclipse human Michael Welch (aka Mike Newton) is the starring in a new movie Unrequited due to hit theaters on June 8th in the US. He is playing the part of Ben Jacobs.

Here is a synopsis from the Official Unrequited site -

Psychological thriller UNREQUITED tells the story of Ben Jacobs, a troubled young man who, on his 18th birthday, must leave the group home for “troubled teens” where he has been living for the past several months. After moving back in with his mother, Ben discovers that his girlfriend, Jessica Morgan, has moved on with her life and is now dating an older college guy. Desperate for love and unable to cope with losing Jessica, Ben’s troubled past catches up with him as he kidnaps her in an attempt to regain her affection. Spiraling out of control and on a very dangerous path, Ben must ultimately decide whether to let her go, or hold on to the one person he loves, even if it means destroying them both in the process

Wow! Looks like quite the thriller! I think Michael is an awesome guy, I truly hope this movie does well!

I would love to go see this, but June 8th is a really bad time for me, considering I am a Twilight fan.

But we shall see if I can squeeze it in. I want to support the Twilight cast as much as possible.

I love love creepy movies, not mindless slasher flicks, but psycho thrillers? bring it on, though I will probably see this movie on dvd, June, hello Eclipse.. Now picture Mike Newton in his bedroom caressing Bella's picture saying “we will be together, my love soon”, and did anyone notice, the girl's name is Jessica?

He's a phenomenal actor! I saw this trailer some time ago and man was I blown away..he's 'really' good..you can really tell how he's so into character! I can't wait to so more of him he's so underrated!

I gotta say, he's a cute guy. Some of the “humans” of Twilight are really good actors…including Michael Welch. He doesn't really look like he's trying too hard…he seems to have some natural abilities…I mean, so what if he plays Mike Newton in the movies, he can't play Mike newton forever…I mean Rob plays the gentleman Edward in this franchise…but if he gets a part where he has to be a total @$$hole, I'll still support him.

I am really happy for him this is huge for Mike I wish him a lot of success and happiness and it is good to see him play a bad a** he looks very convincing in this role I am looking forward to seeing it June 8th then Eclipse! then in November HP and the Deathly Hallows yes I am a Harry Potter fan I have read all the books and have seen all six movies so far now number 7

Can you imagine how Rob's gonna be when he is first all persuasive and then jumps and rips BDH's head off.. Ops, I used the wrong names.. Oh well.. LOL
It's about Edward and he's this kid who's been put in and out of foster homes for most of his life and then he starts dreaming about Bella. Finally he's put in the Cullen home and he discovers that Bella is real but she's in a coma and then suddenly she disappears from his dreams and he gets all depressed…
Oh, I think I heard about that one.. Isn't it called “An Untitled Continuation of the Twilight Saga”? I haven't started it yet, but it seemed to be interesting.. Is it?

Normally thrillers are crud. Like so bad. This film as well reminds me of another thriller, and i loved that one. So i'm going to watch this.

The trailer is real good and i like the fact he kidnaps her. I'd just wished he could have shown more of his potential *cough* dancing *cough*

I watched the trailer for this on-line last month… it looks incredibly creepy. It was weird for me to see sweet, innocent-looking Mike Newton going psychotic. I think it disturbed me even more than it would if I had never seen Mike W. in a movie before. It's like Mike Newton finally realized that he was a bit pf a pansy and then went off the deep end and kidnapped this girl… idk it was weird for me!

I'm really glad to see Mike W. in a lead role though. I think that there are a lot of actors in this Saga who could handle lead roles and maybe hadn't been discovered yet. Mike's one of them, Anna K obviously, and I would love to see Ashley, Kellan and Jackson in a lead… in movies that get some wide exposure.
