Eclipse untitled2 Peter Facinelli Wants Breaking Dawn To Be Rated PG 13 peter facinelli breaking dawn

According to Hollywood Life, Peter Facinelli wants Breaking Dawn to be rated PG-13.

We’ve been waiting for soooo long to see Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart FINALLY make sweet, sweet love in the fourth and final Twilight film, Breaking Dawn, that it didn’t even occur to us that some people (re: parents) might not be so happy at the seductive content.

However, Peter Facinelli—who plays hot vampire patriarch Carlisle Cullen—has made us see the error of our ways.

“I have a 12-year-old daughter [Luca Bella, whose mom is Jennie Garth]. She’s a fan and I’d want her not to feel left out or awkward,” Peter, 37, explained to HollywoodLife.comexclusively Jan. 16 at Lionsgate’s pre-Golden Globes party.

“Hopefully it’s a PG-13 type of situation,” he added. “I’m sure the producers and directors know what they want—and especially what they are doing—but I’m sure they don’t want to alienate fans.”

We like how Peter sees both sides here: he doesn’t want to destroy his daughter’s innocence, yet he wants the flick to remain pure for die-hard fans. His primary loyalty is to his family though, after all—family always comes first to this #1 Dad.

Yes, Peter is a great father.  I can understand his point.

I’m okay with the PG-13 rating as long as nothing is left out.   I’m sure certain scenes can be done tastefully.   However, I really don’t need to see Edward ‘performing’ the cesarean on Bella.  Ew.

What do you guys think?

Well, with the postings we’ve had lately, we don’t stand a chance. LOL So, welcome to Gutterworld. Stroll around and look at all the hot pictures and read about our guys and enjoy it,and know you are in a world of women , who if counted, would probably be enough to populate a country of it’s own. OOH! the thought. Hey we’re all permanent residents,so welcome BellasLove Flippy. LOL
Like I said, with what we’ve seen and heard the last couple of days——–yea, Gutterworld lives.

Trust me .. our system is doesn't make any sense at all!

  • KStewfan

I know and that's what's frustrating me .. I mean she had pull on Twilight and she didn't even make sure the most important scene was in the movie (The Meadow) I mean I was disappointed in the meadow scene that was what I was looking forward to the most

  • KStewfan

We all know that kids have sex … we were all kids once too … but I still feel that if the kid is under 14 the parent should read the book first to decide if their child can handle it. In my opinion not all kids can handle it. Trust me one of the the things I LOVE about this serious is that the lesson is self control, abstinance, and true love versus lust! That being said … I didn't feel it appropriate for my 11 yr old god daughter to read and that was the decision both her mom and i made. Maybe your parents are ok with you reading about that stuff and that's fine … however this is a Young Adult novel and I don't consider a 10-13 year olds to be a young adults …. all kids do mature on a different level however these books could also give the younger kids ideas and thoughts that may not have occured to them which is where it's up to the parents to decide what's right for their child.

When I heard my 12 yr old (at the time) cousin was reading it I was like Whoa … but at the same time I was just happy she was reading a 600+ page book … plus now we have something to share.

I guess my point is you may be mature enough for it and understand it but everyone develops differently and takes it differently so it's an individual thing when it comes to kids under 14 for me …. the movies I have found appropriate for my god-daughter and am happy that I can share those with her … and she is looking forward to the day that she can read the book .. as for BD I just want them to make it true to the book with whatever rating is required for that whether it be PG 13 or R then the parents can decide if their children can handle it …. I just want them to stay true to the book because it such a great story!

I guess I'm done now .. I hope I didn't upset you more! I really just want us all to be able to enjoy our series together but at the same time I don't want them to change the content of BD because some kids can't handle it when atleast 75% of the fans could handle to R rating

  • Cullenmom

They get away with alot in a PG-13 movie these days. So I say hale yes to all the scenes like you said we have waited for this and we want to see it all.

  • BellasLoveSPIDERFLIPPY

You are NEVER going to believe me when I say that I found a book in my school library that is called.. wait for it… “The Unicorn”.. And it’s in English! LMAO I borrowed it, just for the heck of it.. haha

  • IloveyouEdward

lmaaoo aww i hope your nose feels better.Haha It’s always good to laugh it off. Its better then crying ;) .Did you so Beard Rob im not digging it, he looks scary :(

  • IloveyouEdward

LMAO! the unicorn haha .Did that not make you giggle XD,did you read it lmao?

  • OnceYouPut_TheDogOut!

Didn’t you love the part when Edward tells Bella that the baby loves her….I was like AWWWW…I was pregnant with my 3rd child (my 2nd daughter)

  • Whitnerrzz

Honestly, I want to see Edward “perform” the cesarean. They can clean it up a bit and still make it pg-13. How many “horror” films these days are full of blood and guts and still pg-13? I can’t see why Breaking Dawn would be any different.

And I know this wasn’t fully mentioned; but as far as the sex scenes go they can definitely clean that up.

Oh, and Renessmee. I really do not want her to be CGI. They can do like any other movie does and find children that look very similar to one another and cast them to play her as she ages. Even if they don’t look exactly alike, it would be better than a cartoon.

  • OnceYouPut_TheDogOut!

OH HECK YES!! lol..totally agree with that.I am sure they can find sibling child actors…find 3 sisters who look alike in different age ranges.

My two girls would be great lol…my daughter Rhiannon who is 3 months old (she’s already trying to talk with you- sooo cute) and my 3 year old daughter Sarah lol…especially Sarah she’s a drama queen lol JK

  • Whitnerrzz

And what I mean by cleaning up the sex scenes is that they can be careful what they show as far as Kristin’s and Rob’s physical appearence while staying true to the book.
So, we can still see where she was bruised, the broken headboard, and the feathers; all while remaining in the pg-13 catagory. (:

sure, rated R would be great for me… however, since i am a mom, and my 11yr. daughter loves the books and movies, i hope they keep it PG-13… there are sooooo many fans out there that are under 18, it would be a real let-down if they were forgotten!! And, to all the comments about married people have sex on their honeymoon… well, duh!! That doesn’t mean that children should watch… we don’t have our kids watch us have sex, do you? Anyway, i do believe they can stay true to the books and still keep it PG-13… noone complained before… anyway, there will be plenty of ignorant people out there taking their young kids to see the movie if it ends up being R…. I won’t, I don’t think the scenes in the book would be appropriate on screen for kids under, let’s say 14 or 16 (depending on how graphic it gets….. HOPING FOR PG-13, SO I CAN CONTINUE TO ENJOY WITH MY DAUGHTER!!! By the way, someone told me they were thinking of making 2 movies out of Breaking Dawn…. anyone know if that’s true? There sure is enough material for 2… Wouldn’t that be great?!

know what, for all the ignorance being posted: not everyone has/had parents that cared what their kids watch… mine didn’t, and all i ever got was nightmares… i have no issues discussing sex with anyone, including my children (11+14), they need to know its normal and healthy… i don’t even have issues with very passionate kissing and some touching, but some nudity, it depends on how it is done… if its done extremely graphic, then it needs to be rated R, if not it can be PG-13. they can “cloud” the images, tone down the voices with music, use sheets to cover partially, etc. still plenty steaming… and for the violence, like cecarean… well, i’m sure even that can be included without it being gory and freaky… No, there is nothing wrong with having to wait a few years, but i do know there are sooooo many kids under 19 that have read all the books and seen the first 2 movies… i would find it sad if they would forget this very large and very devoted fanbase….

I don't have the DVD of Dr. Horrible. I watched it on HULU. I surely hope he will do some new ones. Did you know the girl who played Dr. horrible's love interest and the guy who played his arch nemesis were both on the last season of buffy. The guy was in Serenity as well it's awful I forgot there names. I think JW would be a great director for BD you knows the genre inside and out and I believe who could manage the special effects. I wish he would do the remake of Buffy instead of the original producers. The butchered the first movie what makes them think the could make the remake any better.

I totally agree with everything you said I'm 15 too and i read the books like 3 months before the twilight movie first came out but i didnt know any of the actors or anything. so i dont get why there so negative about teenagers i mean i loved these books there the best books i have ever read and maybe thats becuase i dont like reading but i do agree with you i fully understood the books for everything they meant i knew what the storyline was and everything maybe its because im mature for my age but i can seem to handle the theam of the books and i dont love any of the characters because of the actors that play them i love the characters because they are all important in one way and they are all unique but i must admit they have some pretty hot actors lol!!! well your totally my hero for standing up for us teenagers Arabella-BeMineJasperXD

I was laughing in that library, some people were kinda annoyed with me.. I didn’t read it, because it’s NOT about our meaning of the word and it doesn’t exactly sound interesting.. LOL
But it’s almost scary how much “gutter words” my school unconciously use.. LOL

I was crying while laughing, I think I was laughing so hard that I actually started crying.. LOL At least it doesn’t hurt anymore.. ;)

I’m not liking it either :( I know that it’s for Bel Ami, but I don’t like it.. A scruff: HOT, but a beard blocks the view of the Jaw, that’s a kinda depressing thought..
But his eyes still have magic that makes my heart skip a beat :)

  • BellasLoveSPIDERFLIPPY

I read that it was for the movie.. And he’s also a tiny bit lazy so that may also play a role in growing the beard.. LOL

What do you remember about the dream? I haven’t had a Rob dream in so long! :(

  • breesmom

Yes, I knew it, LOL I have a wealth of info on Buffy, Joss Whedon…Angel…

Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day are the two you are thinking of. I really like Nathan Fillion–he has his own show on now–great show, “Castle”. I've been following Nathan's career since the mid-90's when he played Joey on One Life To Live”.

  • team_jacob_baby

I think they should include all the scenes and if that means rated R then its rated R. And if you really love the books and movies you will see it either way. I’m 15 and i know i will find some way to see it even if it is rated R.

  • belladonna101

I don't watch soap operas or daytime dramas. Never interests me but I love JW I just watched the series finale of Dollhouse and it wasn't as good as I hoped.
