Rachelle LeFevre: Eclipse Darker, But Not Horror Movie

Eclipse’s Rachelle LeFevre, who plays Victoria, has a new interview with the London Free Press where she notes the changing directors of the Twilight Saga, and how David Slade is a good match for the feel of Eclipse–

“It could have been bad,” Lefevre admits. “But I think because Harry Potter went through it first to their benefit, we were like, ‘The Potter kids went through a director shift and they were OK, so we’ll be OK, too.’

A third transition will happen later this year in Vancouver when another director, David Slade (30 Days of Night), takes the reins of the next sequel Eclipse.

“It’s perfect timing for David because Eclipse is darker than the other two. There’s more action. It’s not a horror movie, but it is darker.”

You know what I mean I was having a really yucky day one day and since he drives most ppl nuts, I decided to use his rolling stones cover as my avatar and ended up having so much fun making ppl do double-takes, decided to keep him around. *sniffle* And I'm still missing him. It's okay and I know all about losing your temper when you become passionate about, now thanks to Breaking Dawn that I became a Jake fan ( please Lord let there be a movie, Tay is going to knock our soxs off in it, seeing bring out Jake's pain on seeing his best friend in that advance pregnancy to mention the deilvery)

but before that, I hated his guts, and I would get pissy on anyone who got on his side, granted I loved human Jake before he turned into wolf, but when he turned I wanted him to disappear, so thanks SM for allowing me to understand Jake.

I also hope they paint the newborns as Victoria's victims as well, I mean these were once people whose life were stolen as well, and Bella looking at Bree and asking herself, is that what I will become? plus Victoria's calcuted move knowing that where Edward is so is Bella.

I know I have my list of things I hope will be IN the movie, but the one think I kind of hope isn't in there is too much of Victoria making her Newborn Army. I really enjoyed how it took a long time for all the pieces to fall together… that VICTORIA was the one building the army, not just some other vampire. So maybe, more hints of Riley than Victoria would be nice.

No, honey. Not with vamps.. I don't do dead and sparkly.. although I like Edward in some ways.. I am holding out for a nice, broadshouldered, warm, liquid-chocolate brown-eyed boy with some coppery skin and protective instincts.. I can forego vamps for that, totally!!

Why does it have to be darker than the other 2 movies. I certainly didnt see it that way. It was exciting and I loved the mythology of the wolves and the loving Bella gets constantly from Edward [and Jacob] now that they are back together.
It is so unifying for both the Cullens and the wolves when Bella is under threat which is totally uplifting. The fight Edward and the young wolf have against their common enemy is truely exhilarating due in part to their cohesive [secret]plan which works of course…as there is another book [we all knew].

Everyones known the Eclipse shooting schedule for ages, I don't know why they wouldn't have realized this sooner.

what ever i think it was better in the book i went to the premeire and the book was SO BETTER it gave more action and more time with Bree Tanner!!!!
Bree was really the only reason i watched it (well and Alice of course).
