Eclipse 200907291823 Rachelle LeFevre Hurt Deeply by Summits Surprising Decision to Recast Victoria as Bryce Dallas Howard victoria rachelle lefevre casting bryce dallas howard Rachelle LeFevre has issued an official statement about the recasting of Victoria to Bryce Dallas Howard. It seems that Summit was not willing to allow for the 10-day overlap with the filming of Barney’s Version.

In the release, she says–

“I was stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria for ‘Eclipse,’”

“I was fully committed to the ‘Twilight’ saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria,” Rachelle continued, explaining the turn of events that led to the casting change. “I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. My commitment to ‘Barney’s Version’ is only ten days. Summit picked up my option for ‘Eclipse.’ Although the production schedule for ‘Eclipse’ is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those ten days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for ‘Eclipse,’ never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10 day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part.”

“I am greatly saddened that I will not get to complete my portrayal of Victoria for the ‘Twilight’ audience. This is a story, a theatrical journey and a character that I truly love and about which I am very passionate. I will be forever grateful to the fan support and loyalty I’ve received since being cast for this role, and I am hurt deeply by Summit’s surprising decision to move on without me. I wish the cast and crew of ‘Eclipse’ only the very best,” she said.

If I'm not mistaken didn't Cathrine make the comment about having to make some of the last scenes first because of a scheduling conflict with Cam. This is just wrong, they could work this out with Rachelle. I mean Rob has done a movie and Kisten is just finishing up one. Eclipse is my favorite book, I've reread it several times and one of my favorite parts is the fight between Edward and Victoria. When I read it I see Rachelle's face. Summit doesn't need to change that. NO RECASTING Of ANY Of OUR ACTORS OR ACTRESS. PLLEEAASSEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not a teenager. I am an older Twilight fan and this is a huge mistake!! Ms. Howard only has the red hair – she lacks all else to suffice as Victoria – she cannot pull it off – work with the 10 day overlap.

Sad as it is by that time it will be to late. They will have concluded filming. As a matter of fact, the actors are starting to head to Vancouver now to start rehearsing for Eclipse. A petition is the only thing that might get their attention. I am very disappointed at this turn of events.

I'm SO SORRY “fltwimom” that we, the TWILIGHT FANS can not let it go.

The Twilight fans are very passionate about the Twilight Saga. Everyone in the entire world (YEAH you did read it right-check out Stephenie Meyer's website under “fansites” & see all the websites from all over the world) feel in love with the book, the movie, and the characters. Rachelle brought the character to life with the twitch of her lips when catching the baseball to having that look at the end of the movie as she undid the clip in her hair. But best wished to Bryce Howard.

So yeah, your right…no matter what, EVERYONE will see the movie BUT I think its AWESOMEl that the “TRUE DEDICATED TWILIGHT FANS” stood up for Rachelle as “Victoria” and sent countless letters, red ribbons, etc. to Summit!

Summit won't do anything…they're just looking out their office window, in their air-conditioned building and just laughing their heads off because they can do whatever they want because NO ONE-NO ONE; the Twilight Fans, the Directors, the Screenwriters, the producers, the cast, and especially Stephenie Meyer CAN STOP THEM!

When making a movie with multiple parts, original characters who started with the movie should stay. BRING BACK RACHELLE LEFVRE. DO NOT REPLACE TAYLOR LAUTNER. The other guy doesn't even look Indian. Stupid SUMMIT. Keep original cast members from TWILIGHT. originals are what makes the movies more interesting.
