Release Date For Official Eclipse Illustrated Movie Companion Book!

According to Reel Empire and Amazon, The Twilight Saga Eclipse Official Illustrated Movie Companion will be released June 29th, 2010, one day before the film’s release date in theaters June 30th, 2010.

Amazon has confirmed the release date for the “Twilight Saga Eclipse: The Official Illustrated Movie Companion” which will hit retail shelves June 29th, 2010. They also revealed the release date for the mass market paperback edition for “Eclipse” which is May 25th. At the moment, no cover images have been released for either product.

One day before the movie release date of Eclipse? I guess this is to keep it spoiler free. What about the people who want the spoilers?! I want the spoilers! LOL!

I really can’t wait to see the Eclipse movie companion! Seriously! Move up the release date!

Good morning sweetie. I get those head shakes too. He did sit with me on Satuday morning and watch part of the second half of NM. He liked the wolves…when it got to the part where Alice returned, he said he had enough. Enough??? How can you ever have enough of this Saga? Men just don't understand. lol

LMAO! “had enough” Well, at least he sat for some of it. My hubby was constantly looking over my shoulder when all of the clips came out but then would quickly give me one of his “vampires aren't supposed to sparkle” lines and walk away. He has not watched NM and I don't think he has any intention now. Oh, well. I would rather not answer a million questions, anyway.

I am staying strong. I purposely did not buy the dvd with the sneak peaks and I have not watched any of the ones posted on here. It was tough, but I made it through.

They better not mess this one up on us…I feel like Summit and its people are always messing up the movies in the final editing. So what if it is alittle longer, I rather have it long with and true to the books than short and missing key elements.

And really, that last touch, where they showed his notebook.. PERFECT.
For me he wasn't Robert Pattinson or Edward Cullen or whoever people want him to be.. No, to me, he was Tyler Hawkins.. His acting is excellent!
He definitely deserves a prize for his performance, it can't go by unnoticed.. People need to see Remember Me.. If they don't like Rob, they need to get over themselves, because it's more than just him..

I don't think any of the fans would complain about that.Summit just need to get it into their heads that it's ultimately the fans who drive the franchise foward and make it a success therefore the movies should be marketed to what WE want to see.

They keep talking about 'guys will like this one' etc. Most of the guys I know hated Twilight and New Moon, what makes the studio think they are suddenly going to decide to like Eclipse? Just because there's a couple of extra fight scenes in this one? I don't think so. It's just not a guy's vampire movie, they want Blade, From Dusk til Dawn type stuff. Blood and guts.

At the end of the day it's the Twilight fans who are going to keep going to see the movie in cinemas and buy the DVDs and merchandise. Therefore it's about time that WE got what we paid for. THE EFFING BOOKS ON SCREEN!!!

well with papsmear pics I have learned to avoid them like the plague! if I don't avoid them then I get angry and I start rantin and loosing my temper and it is SO not worth it so whenever this site has papsmear pics I just aviod them I don't blame them(the site) coz they have no control over what comes on here so whatever comes on here thats what we get so when I see something like that again, I just avoid it out of respect for the actors as well as my sanity LOL:)

Yeah…..I would never last…the only one I was torn about watching was the break up scene from NM. I stayed away originally, but I gave in. It was worse than the one time I tried to quit smoking, I swear to it.

I usually am a BIG FAN of spoilers.
I'm the type of person who Googles the end of a movie before it happens so that I won't be sitting in suspense.

BUT:
a) I already KNOW what happens in these stories, and
b) I think they gave away WAY TOO MUCH for New Moon. I like to be teased, not full-out shown 5 minute scenes. LoL

That's just me. I'm kinda happy with all the secrecy

I know. They've been saying “guys will like this one” like crazy so they were clearly trying to appeal more to the male and general audience, but how do they expect to do that when they don't seem keen to release ANY of the action or battle footage at all? That's what will be the big pull with this one, but for some reason its almost as though they're sort of backtracking on the whole “dark, edgy, action” Eclipse which I was super excited to see and thought would finally be the best one yet. I really hope they aren't trying to go back and water down Slade's original cut into what they deem a more “kid/teenage friendly” version. I want these characters mature and much more interesting than being reduced to just dull angsty teenagers.

Im kinda shocked they are waiting until the day before it comes out, I mean it was a month or so before it came out that they released the NM companion right?

I'm kinda liking this, because it makes the time pass quicker, for New Moon i felt like I was waiting and waiting and waiting because they kept releasing stuff and clips and more clips, but this time, I dont think they will release clips or even stills until may/june which is a GOOD thing, they could release a clip a week and still keep a lot of the movie hidden!

That being said, David Slade should have more control, it is his name on this thing, more power to him, I hope it was his call to bring in the new editor, from what we have seen it is going to be a lot more darker and grittier than the previous movies, I don't know, change is good but 'they' must remember why we love the books.

I'm just even more excited for may/june for all of the cast sightings were gunna get, I wonder how many imtes Rob/Kris can avoid 'the question' this time around haha! SUQEEEEEEEEEEEE I cant wait for award season and premire/promotion tour! This time im camping out 24 hours!

Lol, well I certainly they didn't go overboard promoting New Moon. But really, the people who would actually buy this companion could just wait until midnight and go see the movie….so why would they buy it? Maybe this a mistake and it's really coming out May 29th? We will see I suppose….

I can't decide if this “spoiler-free” moves are good or bad. I personally didn't like what they did for New Moon, being overly promoted.

Summit surely wanted to gain more money from New Moon (no surprise there!), I'm surprised they don't reprise the extravaganza promotions for Eclipse. I mean, it's the best book among all the Twilight books, and what I was expecting was a bigger promotions than New Moon was.

I'm pleased though that they don't because I'm a spoiler-free kinda person x) however this makes me worried too. I don't think Slade ruined the movie and Summit was unsatisfied. He's a good director. I'm positive there's something behind all this, hopefully it's something good! Lol.

Btw, I'm going to get the companion AFTER I see the movie… Spoiler-free, like I said!

My mom sent a package with the NM dvd, Forks documentary and graphic novel (which is beautiful if you don't have it yet) and of course there was no cell in my copy. Now I have to try to convince a Florida target that this came from a NY target and that I'm not insane, lying so that I can collect cells. Hee. I just want my one, darnit! My mom paid for a deluxe and by golly, I'm getting a deluxe. LOL “MY MOM paid for it” Yeah, I'm 12.

What is a cell? At first I thought you were talking about a phone…lol. I
ordered my dvd from Amazon and it did not come with anything but 2 discs
(that is what I get for going cheap). I do have the graphic novel, but did
not get a chance to really look at it yet. I am in the middle of one book
and ready to start another one.
