Riley Will be Played by Aussie Newcomer Xavier Samuel

The casting of Riley for Eclipse has been confirmed by the reliable RiskyBizBlog, and it comes out of left field.

Newcomer Xavier Samuel from Australia will take on the role of Riley in Eclipse–

Samuel, repped by Management 360, Gersh and Shanahan in Australia, has been in series of films down under, including “Newcastle,” in which he played a Goth teenager amidst a group of surfers (the movie played Tribeca last year — though you can bet Netflix will see just a small spike now), the Aussie period drama “September” and the upcoming sci-fi thriller “Road Train.” This marks his first U.S. role.

What’s the verdict? Do you think he will make a good Riley?

It would suck,
but I understand their viewpoint. They either make Eclipse and BD rated R, and hope they built up enough of an audience with NM, or make NM and Eclipse PG13 and aim for a older age range to shoot BD in R, or make all 3 pg13 and take half the “violent/sexual” scenes out of BD and Eclipse.
*runs hand down face* argh. Please, please let them be R.

Umm yeah…I think ALL the guys fighting should shirtless lol!!! But too bad we would see the pack boys shirtless cause they'll be wolves. But, I guys we can share a little shirtless time with the vamp side since us wolf girls will *hopefully* not see our wolf man with shirts on at all LOL!!

This guy's definitly a cutie!!!! So now I'm Team Paul on the wolf side, Team Edward on the Veggie Vamps side, and soo Team Riley on the Baddie Vamps side lol! I don't think it could get any better than this!!
