Now put away your stakes R.Pattz lovers, this isn’t a dig at our boy’s actingability. What apparently has a few execs concerned—at Summit, for instance—is that Pattinson’s Remember Me persona is quite similar to what many have already enjoyed Rob in (just look at the pics): the brooding, troubled outcast. You know, head down, heart troubled.

Wecould watch Rob read a phone book and not get bored, and that goes for Twi-hards who love Pattinson in anything, too.

What our studio insider tells us is just the littlest bit worrisome: that R.M. won’t bring in a new audience, which K.Stew apparently does with her upcoming film The Runaways.

In Rob’s defense, people have already seen Kristen in many mainstream versatile roles (Panic Room, Into the Wild, Adventureland), while Rob’s range is hidden in more indie movies like Little Ashes, which had a limited release.

What will be interesting to watch will be the box office in March. Kristen’s film, The Runaways, comes out March 19 while Rob’s movie Remember Me gets a release date a week earlier on March 12.

We all know Kristen can act, and some of us got a sneak peak of Rob from his Harry Potter days, he’s an amazing actor. The way he’s able to turn off that British accent and switch to an American accent in a spit second continues to impress me lol. I think Robert Pattinson will be with us and be successful for many years to come.

I was a fan before Twilight, but Twilight put her on a different level for me. I learned more about her, her style, her personality, her acting choices.

I don't think it's fair to compare the two. They are both so different in where their careers have taken them thus far. The main difference is in popularity, which I think is why Rpatz will be associated with Twilight a lot longer the Kstew will. I presume that 98% of twi fans are women, hence Rob is googled/ogled/snapped a lot LOT more than Kristen. He is what the majority of us want to see (not taking anything away from Kristen – I think she is fantastic – It's just I would rather ogle at Rob rather than Kristen!). As everyone says, if you want your paper/mag/blog etc to get sales just mention Rob and BINGO instant money hit.
This is our fault really, cos (well, speaking for myself) we are so obsessed. All my friends, who are not into twilight know who Rpatz is, but I doubt they would recognise Kristen.
I just hope that their integrity will give them both long and rewarding careers. (LIKE no Spiderman career paths. *grimace* – I was nearly sick when I heard that one – OMG Ill be so disappointed – I hope Marvel do want Rpatz for their crappy spiderman and he tells them to go and get effd. he he he)

This was a silly article made to rile up his audience. Of course both actors are going to have careers post-Twilight. Rob's movies are probably going to be more mainstream to go with the momentum of his popularity right now (you gotta strike while the iron's hot). Kristen will most likely stick to what she is comfortable with.
I don't think they are competing with each other to see who gets the bigger better role or movie, why is everyone else wanting to make it that way?

I'm a Twi-Hard first and Rob&Kris second these roles put them on the map so I find distasteful to think that Edward and Bella are beneath their status, these two kids breathed life into our beloved characters. Kristen gave Bella her face and Rob brought Edward to life, I will not have a nobody put down the dynamic duo or their roles. This is the last I will comment on this pathetic article that the only good it will do is that of toilet paper.

Well I think that Kristen & Rob are both the same. Its just that in Twilight Kristen plays a sort of melodramatic, Bella and in … The Rileys she is a hooker. Not exactly melodramatic right?

I'm a little late, but this last line from that link you shared really resonates with me– “If people hate on her it is out of either jealousy or complete mis-understanding.”
I feel like so much of the nasty comments about Kristen come from exactly that. People make snap judgements of her based on things like her physical appearance, or based off of the idea that, oh, she's just part of the popular Twilight series and that's it (and Twilight is sometimes stigmatized as being just a thoughtless teen girl craze… but that's another story) but if they actually took the time to watch her, they would probably see how focused, meticulous, and thoughtful she is in the work that she does.

It's soo nice to come to places like this though and see all of these amazing comments from people who have actually care to and want to take the time to see her work and make educated evaluations of her.

Whether a person becomes a Kristen fan or not, the least I could ask of someone would be to watch/listen to her before making comments like how she looks like she's on drugs or she seems so ungrateful for the success she's had (some of the negative comments that seem to be most frequently made about her).

Okay I'm sorry, I've rambled on and it's not like I think that I need to prove any of the above to anyone here, but I just really liked the link you shared.

I totally agree!!!!! First of, watch Robs older movies. He was amazing and kinda freaky creepy as the cripple ex pilot. Funny and such a geek in ” A bad Mother's Handbook” even nerdier in ” Rings of the Nibelungs” I mean did you see that horrid WIG???? As Cedrick Digorry he broke a lot of hearts.
