For 5 years Johnny Depp has dominated the scene for just about every category, well times they are a changing and there is a new vampire in town. The Twilight Saga’s Robert Pattinson who plays mind reader Edward Cullen, in the series has now taken over the number 1 spot that was once claimed by Depp.

“Team Jacob” didn’t disappoint him as Taylor Lautner, who plays the shirtless lycanthrope Jacob Black, again from “New Moon,” rounds out the top five. Lautner bumps out last year’s No. 5, Angelina Jolie, who ends up at No. 12.

“New Moon’s” representation didn’t end there. Numerous other actors from the film appear in the top 25, underscoring “New Moon’s” popularity. Dakota Fanning, who plays the Volturi vampire Jane, is at No. 8; Ashley Greene, who plays Edward’s effervescent sister Alice is at No. 11; Nikki Reed, Edward’s brooding sister Rosalie, is at No. 15 and Jackson Rathbone, who plays Jasper, is just outside of the top 25 at No. 26.

IMDb.com uses a cool tool called the STARmeter, that tracks the readers interests. Kristen Stewart ranked in at number 2. Daddy C, Peter Facinelli was even in on the action and was ranked at number 37, Kellan Lutz came in at number 39. Volturi vamp Michael Sheen came in at number 45, and even the sexiest villain ever, Cam Gigandet slid in at number 60.

Oh, I think there are many. many reasons why he is so hot! For one thing there is the mystery…for another, there's the fact that he plays a sweet, vulnerable vampire whose body is like marble, yet has a hairy body but a clean shaven face–who is so incredibly beautiful and he sparkles in the sun! Edward is eternally a boy, virginal and innocent.

On the other hand there's Rob himself who is grittier, earthier and exudes sex itself. Next to the seemingly eternally virginal Edward Rob is a worldly, virile man. Although he cleans up really well for award shows and promotions, he comes off just as well as his dirty, unkempt self.

…but not just that, also Rob is portrayed by fellow castmates to be kind, gracious and genuinely down to earth, a but very laid back individual.

Yes, I think the whole mysterious persona really gets to me. Who is he really? Is he a player or is he really shy? What's up with him and Kristen? So many questions…but I do know one thing, I do think he's the hottest man I've seen or been attracted to in quite a while!

The mystery is a big component. Because half the time you don't know if he is full of sh*t or being serious.

And the dichotomy of him playing this innocent virginal Edward character and then in real life, he is completely opposite. Potty mouthed, dirty, unkempt, beer drinking, relaxed, says whatever he wants. It is so weird and …. intriguing.

Plus he is just simply hot. Like old school James Dean, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp hot. Not pretty boy hot.

And he is not arrogant and full of himself when he opens his mouth.

It's almost like you can't look at a picture of him without imagining the smuttiest things about him.

No, no–not at all. I don't know where you got the idea I thought Edward was a pu$$y. I never thought that or said that. Quite the contrary, I like Edward quite a lot. I have always been team Edward.

In regards to the difference in Edward Cullen and Georges DuRoy (the character Rob will play in Bel-Ami) is that Edward is a very moral person and Georges is a very immoral person. In that way they are as different as night and day. Edward is very protective of the woman he loves and Georges, well–he uses them and then tosses them aside.

That said, I think Rob can do an equally good job in portraying them both.

Edward is a very moral person. He has a conscience. He only killed people who he felt had defiled humanity and deserved justice but even in that he felt guilty and stopped and decided to follow Carlisle's example and not drink human blood. He was tempted by Bella and her blood but resisted.

Georges used people, especially woman. He was a very attractive man, a charming man. While I did enjoy reading the book, I think it will make an intriguing movie I do recognize that the immoral things he did completely devastated the lives of the people closest to him. He sucked the life out and tossed them aside and stomped on thir bodies on his way to the top.

Read the book and tell me if you don't agree. It's very interesting reading. I recommend it.
