Robert Pattinson Opens Up About ‘There Will Be Blood’ & ‘Breaking Dawn’

Robert Pattinson was interviewed by HitFix during the Remember Me press junket last weekend. Rob answered questions from roles he passed up to Breaking Dawn into two films.

The actor recently sat down with HitFix to discuss the new role and why he took it up, even after he signed on to become the face of Edward Cullen in the popular “Twilight” movie series. “There’s only so many things you can do with a script, [but] this seemed like it hadn’t been made before,” he says.

The 23-year-old English actor also reveals some of his regrets not auditioning for roles in “There Will Be Blood” (and “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford). You can read more specifics on that here.

thought some of you might appreciate this… i had dinner with a friend tonight who is friends with someone at summit and i asked him to pass along that breaking dawn in 3-D is generally a bad idea and that it's way too gimmicky and all we want is a well-made film. not sure this summit person has any say but it was as close as i could get to getting my 2 cents in!

Rob totally has a great taste in scripts. I would not be surprised if he will end up as one of the best actors around. I actually always kind of see Rob as the male version of Kate Winslet. Totally daring in choosing high quality roles. love love and so proud of my Rob ))

he has said that in interview after interview. so that really isn't anything new. he has said he doesn't really care if it is one or two but in other ones he has said he leans more towards 2 cuz of how much stuff there is in the book.

i have two places that i think would be good for the break spot if it is two films. 1. when she is turned into a vampire and she opens her eyes for the first time and looks at the cullens around the room. 2. right when they find out that the volturi are coming.

idk though. that is going to be a hard point to decide. but at least if they do it in two they are going to be shooting straight through and doing a 6 month shooting period. that is what Kristen said in an interview

I don't see Rob in like action films. He's not really that type. Taylor would be good at that. The problem I see is he might try things he's not ready for and have a big fall. That would really hurt his career.
