Details Magazine has officially released the pictures and outtakes from their photo shoot of Eclipse hunk Robert Pattinson!
The pictures were done by photographer Norman Jean Roy. While I think they were tastefully done, some may not agree. Therefore in this post you will only see the pictures that are safe for all of our readers to see.

Now that I have had the time to compose myself and really look at these pictures I'm not sure this was his best shoot. He did look hungover. He also looked completely indifferent to the girls. When he does a photo shoot with Kristen he looks smoldering. I'm not trying to bring up the whole dating thing just making an observation. The girls could have been better looking. My breasts are better than those. Those two had the Kill Bill androgynous look to them.
i am not sure about these pics. the background looks funny. idk Detail magazine that much so it might just be the way that they do things, but idk, the backgrounds look fake to me in some of them.

I've never really like the androgynous sheek look that you see on models these days. If they were trying to go for the suave in control gentleman look they missed it with these girls in the mix. He just came of as cold here. It would have been alot better with Edwardian period clothing and just a hint of scandalous behavior in this scenes.

Before I say this, I do respect everyone's opinions. We are all different and have different opinions. So please don't be offended by what I say. Most of us on here are adults, and I feel like we can debate maturely about this without it getting catty.
With that said, I happen to love this shoot. And I will tell you why. Rob NEEDED this. The media and the non Twilight/non Rob loving world sees him as the pretty boy Edward Cullen/sparkling vampire boy/teen idol. This completely shatters that image, which he needs right now.
With Remember Me coming out and Bel Ami getting shot, Hollywood needs to see him as an adult man that is ready for gritty more challenging mature roles.
While I do agree that I am not a big huge fan of the models themselves, I think this shoot is very sexy and in your face, but also tastefully done.

The whole article is basically about him being a medium for art. I feel like he is really invoking that spirit in these photographs.
I know that these pictures are risque, but they tell such a story in a single snap shot. You could discuss each of them at length on what the story is behind them.
Look how confident he looks in the one with the lady taking the picture of him. Besides us knowing that she is a model, if this was a true situation, who is she, what is his relationship to her?
How about the “bath tub” scenes. What is he thinking about? He looks kind of tortured on what to do to me. Kind of like the forbidden fruit type situation. The model is just kind of ho-hum but, besides his gorgeousness, his emotional presence in the photograph is telling a story about what is going on in that room at that second.
Anyway, those are just my two cents…

I think that some may confuse sexiness with skankiness here, but I don't believe that is the case. The only reason some of the shots look that way is beacuse the ladies are being provocative and are barely wearing any clothing. He is completely repectable in each shot.
He's a 23 year old man, he is not a boy. If it were Taylor doing this shoot I might have more of a problem with it… actually I don't think Taylor could pull it off, not enough raw sex appeal. Robert Pattinson's rising star was born from Twilight but needs to rise above it for him to last.
That being said I'd like to ask non-approvers this: If Brad Pitt or George Clooney were doing this shoot would you have an issue with it? If the answer is no then maybe you should consider the fact that Robert Pattinson needs this shoot, professionally… and others like it. What he DID do, is work with the photagrapher in creating the photographer's vision. And I truly believe this vision was executed flawlessly. He is trying to lose some of that “control” he has been holding on to (and that has been holding him back), and have some true freedom and growth, He is trying to truly become his own person and step out of “Edward's” shadow. Good for him.
We love him as Edward. He is Edward personified, just as Taylor is Jacob personified. But Rob is truly so much more than Edward.

I completely agree. And, I actually would love to see him be the next James Bond. I think he'd be perfect. I do think this photo shoot borders on porn. The way to say you are a serious adult actor is not posing with naked models. The photo content is not much different than the shoot with Adam Lambert.
But put the photos aside for now the article does add credit to the fact that Rob is gay….Nothing wrong with being gay, he should be honest and proud about the fact. The studio keeps pushing him as the romantic male lead. It is getting harder and harder to buy.
The girls still thinking about Rob in a romantic way need to wake up and smell the coffee. Enjoy his acting, but that is all it is acting. I think his greatest role so far has been the one he performs off screen for his female fans.
If we really care about Rob we should let him feel secure enough to be honest and love who he wants without fear of backlash.
