**RUMOR** According to a user on IMDB.com the first Eclipse trailer will be shown with the movie Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightening Thief

Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightening Thief opens in theaters this weekend. We have not received any official confirmation if this is true or not.

As I said in the title: Rumor Alert. My personal thoughts are that yes — I really do hope this is true. But my gut tells me that it will come out with Remember Me. I hope I’m wrong!

UPDATE: The awesome Amanda from the Twilight Examiner has confirmed that the Eclipse trailer will NOT be shown Before Percy Jackson -

I’ve just received confirmation from a studio representative that the trailer for Eclipse (while no release date or venue is yet announced) will not be appearing in the previews during Percy Jackson‘s opening weekend.

There wasn't an HP trailer with NM. The sixth HP came out in July and the DVD for it came out in December and there hasn't been a trailer for the 7th HP yet just a sneak peak they included on the HBP DVD. You're still right though there were plenty of trailers shown before NM that were not for Summit films so maybe. I'm not getting my hopes up, but it would be the best BIRTHDAY present EVER for me since my bday is the day PJ comes out! Come on Summit don't be cruel!

On the other hand I don't want too many trailers and sneak peeks otherwise the surprise element will wear off..

I completely agree, but HP didn't really get a trailer though, it was more of a quick sneak peak and it was more interviews and behind the scenes than anything else with a quick teaser at the end that didn't show much at all. Still this is so utterly ridiculous that there is still not even an Eclipse teaser and all we've seen is 3 stills of the exact same scene and we're what 4 months away from Eclipse being out? At this point we'd settle for just a tiny teaser like New Moon's at the MTV movie awards or even something like the sneak peek of HP 7 that was included on the 6th dvd! Anything! Just give us something!

exactly key word rumor…………. it's improbable at best. Eclipse will release its first trailer with R/M. Its only good buisness people, we shouldbt give them the satisfaction of seeing us freak over total bs.. come on people were better than that, smarter to.
