That is the short answer to that question.

Yet the rumour mill is full force yet again. And I’m not saying that what is going around isn’t true, BUT until I see hard facts, evidence, it is a rumour. And since I’m here to bring you all Eclipse news — I’ll let you decide for yourselves what you want to believe and what you do not.

Malicious Mandy has blogged about what she has heard in regards to the Eclipse re-shoots. What scenes were filmed, etc -

This list is by no means complete, it is simply what I have been able to compile by speaking with various people “in the know” one way or another (directly or indirectly) and should I learn more I will edit/add. Three long days of shooting surely covered more than these scenes and if they were re-worked scenes or simply “lighting/colouring adjustments” I can’t say with certainty but will address later in this post.

Scenes:

-Tent Scene (Bella crawls into Jacob’s sleeping bag, banter between Jake & Edward)
-Pick Me (Jacob’s heart felt plee with Bella)
-Kiss & Punch (Jacob & Bella)
-Various Close up’s (Yes wig issues worked out for Bella, these shots are likely the lighting/colouring adjustments also)
-Some love triangle discussion (jealousy of Edward, persistence of Jacob, confusion of Bella, mostly at tent scene but some in Bella’s room of Edward/Bella)

I have heard there needed to be MORE Jacob/Bella in the film and deeper emotion with the two of them in scenes. Take that as you will.

I also heard due to being unable to get the “Meadow” set for a 2nd day (Another production was using the area) because they couldn’t get everything done in the first day, (again I don’t know but I imagine due to Robert Pattinson not being there) they had to try to shoot close-up’s of cast as if in the meadow (this reminds me of Catherine Hardwicke’s “meadow” but rest assured, it was only for close-up’s apparently so they will still have wide shots of the ACTUAL meadow outdoors from original filming in the summer says source)

Exactly. It INSULTED me as a FAN of Jacob to have him IMPRINT on that thing and I'm just going to stop and like this comment but before I stop, that's not even in the the ULTIMATE diss. The lovely ultimate diss comes from Miss High and Mighty Stephenie Meyer to Jacob fans.

As someone told me: One can move on from a person but you can't move on from fiction. It's THERE. It's ALWAYS there. NO ONE but the writer can physically change it. You can CHANGE a PERSON. Obviously with this Saga.

I prefer Twilight to New Moon except that in the hospital scene and maybe elsewhere they say I love you which wasn't heard. I know its silly. I did not like the NM book or movie. Eclipse and BD are my favorites. I love the reunion between B/E in the book but felt too much time was spent on J/B in the movie. I know that was the point of the book but the E/B stuff was short changed. They should have given more to E/B especially the line about the moon. It was like WTFWT was that all about.The kiss to me was shortened. Not a big fan of Jacob but I really feel for him at the end of Eclipse. In BD I was very annoyed with him acting like a parent as if he knew best for the baby. I do get the imprinting part though. Eclipse is about the love triangle which needs to be believable but don't subtract from E/B or even J/B. I am not a Jacob shipper but I don't hate him. Show what is necessary for both couples to see what made Edward such a compelling choice. I hope they don't screw up the proposal and I might be okay.Did anybody read EW summer movie issue where KS says that Bella knows exactly what she wants. I think she says Bella is less conflicted. Hmm let's see.

In BD they need to show how strong the bond is between E/B/R. To me this is where the heart of the story lies. We also need to see Bella's journey to becoming a vamp which helps her realize who she is and what she was meant to be. Toning down the delivery might be necessary.I really want them to do the wedding justice. I hope I am not spoiling anything. 2 movies need to be made.

No, you're absolutely right. Rob definitely is NOT the diva type. Those rumors sent up red flags. If he was late in arriving in Vancouver I'm sure he had a good reason.

Thank god for fantasy and imagination. I just pretend Breaking Fail never happened. Although, out of curiosity at how Hollywood and Summit will pull it off, I will have to see BD once in the theatre.
Fortunately I'm sure the “love-at-first-sight”, gravity stops, imprinting on-screen will be laughable and I will cringe and feel bad for Taylor and then promptly go home and watch NM and Eclipse and forever put BD out of my mind for good.

Like willow said, read above cause I not going to go typing it out again when it's THERE already. Pretty much some key points on why I'm NOT fine with that J/R relationship. HOWEVER, like I said, if one likes it; that's THEIR prerogative. It's simply NOT MINE.

But I do want to point out that you are WRONG. Jacob didn't want to imprint because of his love for Bella stopping him. Jacob didn't like the FACT that you are basically FORCING someone to LOVE you cause it's the MAGIC of imprinting. He didn't like the fact that NEITHER ONE had a VIABLE, REALISTIC chance of FALLING IN LOVE with the person they FEEL they are MEANT to love. Love DOES happen but it's not in a magical bow in which you just find the perfect person for you cause a inner being has a deal with the spirits that said person is THE ONE.

That was what I felt was the WHOLE point of Emily/Sam/Leah being introduced in the Saga (as well as the Quil/Claire so Jacob could be prepared for it to happen to him as well). Because HONESTLY, are you telling me that had Sam had a CHOICE in who to LOVE, he wouldn't have picked Leah? He was IN love with Leah. When the imprinting took place, that FORCED him to love someone else because WHATEVER connection you have with someone is gone. Am I saying that he loves Emily ANY less than he loves Leah? Absolutely not. But Emily was suppose to VISIT them that weekend; not turn into her cousin's fiancee' imprintee. Well that last sentence was more about how Leah felt about the situation. I mean, who would think that a family member of theirs would come for a weekend for you to tell them the best news of YOUR life and they leave with your man?

Lastly as it's all the proof I will EVER need in this NOT being Jacob's happy ending based on HIS feelings about the situation presented in the books PREVIOUSLY before this one,

So, you mean to tell me you are OKAY with this because it means he's happy and fulfilled?! He says CLEARLY that whatever MADE HIM WHO HE WAS (thus the character that as a Jacob fan, you more than likely fell in love with) was SNIPPED away like some piece of thread with a pair of scissors.

So if this is YOUR idea of happiness and fulfillment for Jacob Black; more power to you because I will NEVER accept that as his ending. EVER.

*deadpan* But … but ….. according to some, he doesn't own a part of this Saga. I mean, it's like no LOGICAL reason to why Meyer's muse actually took her in the Jacob route; he was just THERE. I mean, it's like LIFE in this Saga without Jacob although he kinda saves the day through all the books and by extensions his wolf brothers (healing Bella in NM so she can GO back to Eddie boy, bringing numbers into the whole vampire fight thing in Eclipse when a Army was created for the very reason of taking out the small coven, scaring the Volturi from a certain battle in BD despite the fact that certain vampires had special powers). The books would be JUST fine with another contrived, teenager, coming of life, first true love though you have had no previous viable comparisons as to what love truly is, kind of book without Jacob. Jacob, honestly, isn't needed.

calling out BS. never liked haters that base their hate on nothing. guess saying that is negative but hating on MR is the cool thing to do and is thus not negative. The point is you complained about the writing but it was clear that you haven't read it. Reminding me of twihaters who complain about the book because they have seen the movie and pretend they read it. It is OK to hate the saga but at least read it. know it is the accepted form of hate to hate MR. say anything bad about CW and it is negative. The fact is the CW cut more than MR and gets no hate. Think CH did great with E and B and humans, action not that great. Were not hunting you about the .avi but guess you felt so. the majority me included are hypocrites. hate animal cruelty but eat meat, hate that they are hunted by photographers but like watching the result.

basically when hating at least be informed and base it on facts. Many hate MR for cutting lines but when CW cut lines it is OK because the movie can not be four hours long. But that justification MR dose not deserve. But the fact is the script was closer to the book that the movie was.

Yeah and her whole writing style you know.. the underlying tones.. just urked me. Now mind you she probably got alot of heat over her first article claiming that they were reshooting (which I have to say I sent her a calm but direct note on this subject only to rebutt my comments after everything she first wrote was true yet again).
I can do without the saracasm.. These books are something that I've enjoyed reading and I don't appreciate any one mocking the process to bringing them onto the screen.. So yeah.. I was urked with Lainey yet again! Rob doesn't strike me to have a poor work ethic given how serious he has been with researching for his roles. There has to be something more to this that we will never know. However given that DS had to put more Edward and less Jacob in the movie AND lost a major editor (summit firing back in January), I think it may be poor judgement call on DS.. Not to say he wont put together a kick a$$ movie. I trust DS. I know it will be great!!! But no one looked happy leaving Vancouver. The queen bee wasn't happy and neither was Rob that was adamantly clear.

Well as a E/B fan who isn't really a fan of Jacob, let me say even I feel sorry for the Jacob fans and end he got with 'the abomination' as I call her. I think SM made a big mistake and it was a cop out. Personally I think she should have kept the E/B story to a trilogy and then written a new series based on the Wolf Pack. Heck, I might have even learned to like Jacob again. But pairing him with 'the abomination' was just wrong.
